In “True Blue”, she appears painted blue, wearing gold bikini and jewelry, with red bindi—a portrayal that many feel mimics Goddess Kali
Critics from Hindu and Christian communities have labelled the portrayal offensive, blasphemous, and disrespectful
The video also shows her handling and licking a Christian crucifix—sparking equally strong outrage from Christian groups
Indian rapper Raftaar condemned it as a “mockery of my religion,” urging fans to report the video
Social media users accused her of cultural appropriation and demanded she delete the video:
“Our Goddess is not your costume… delete this”
