Loud Blasts Rock Tehran as Israel Hits Iranian Military Sites
Loud Blasts Rock Tehran
On the sixth day of rising tensions between Iran and Israel, massive explosions shook eastern Tehran on Wednesday, AFP reported.
The explosions, which happened about 3:50 p.m. local time, billowed thick plumes of smoke into the air. At least five columns of smoke were seen going up from Iran’s capital city from the east and southeast areas, witnesses said.
Soon after the attack, the Israeli army owned up to the assault. On X, it posted, “The IAF is currently striking military targets belonging to the Iranian Regime in Tehran.”
The attacks are a major heightening of tensions between the traditional Middle Eastern rivals, as tensions continue to rise in the Middle East.
