A dramatic incident unfolded outside the Chief Development Officer’s (CDO) bungalow in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, when a woman publicly assaulted her husband with slippers. The area, known for being one of the busiest in the city, turned into a spectacle as bystanders witnessed the confrontation and recorded videos, which are now circulating widely on social media.
“Dusri Aurat Rakh Li Issne”
The woman, who has reportedly been married for ten years, accused her husband of infidelity. “Dusri aurat rakh li issne,” she said during the altercation, a line that translates to, “Now he is with another woman.” Along with hitting him, she also verbally abused him while venting her anger in full public view.

Husband Accused Of Marrying Again
According to reports by TV9 Hindi, the woman claimed her husband’s behaviour had changed significantly over the past few months. She alleged that he stopped communicating properly and failed to contribute financially to the household. Later, she discovered that he had secretly married another woman and was openly roaming with her.
Police Initiate Probe
Reacting to the viral video, Bareilly Police posted on X (formerly Twitter): “The Inspector-in-Charge Kotwali has been directed to investigate the matter and take necessary action as per rules.” The woman has officially filed a complaint and urged authorities to ensure she receives justice.
