Nicole Arena has come under fire after being criticized for the clothing she wore on a recent trip to Disney World. The controversy started when she went to the theme park wearing a sports bra and leggings and was informed by the staff that it was ‘improper’.

As Nicole relates, she had already spent an hour waiting for a ride when she was halted and told she had to buy a $45 T-shirt before she could get on. Sharing her experience on TikTok, she uploaded a photo with her husband and wrote, “Was so happy to be here that I didn’t realize I was ‘improperly dressed’ and would be forced to buy a $45 tshirt or else I could not get on the ride I waited an hour for.”

Social Media Reacts

Nicole’s attire, a sports bra that showed off her arms and stomach, with leggings caused controversy on the internet. Some users sympathized with her, but most users criticized her for dressing the way she did and said it was inappropriate for a family-friendly like Disney World.

“Perfectly fine for the gym. Not fine for anywhere public, not even Disney,” someone on TikTok wrote. Another stated, “If it’s a bra, it’s underwear. I don’t think I could get in in underwear.”

“Disney and the gym are two separate places. A bra is worn underneath shirts at family friendly places,” another critic commented. “I mean it’s a bra. Of course you can’t go to a family park in it. Be so for real. I am so glad they are finally cracking down,” was another comment.

Nicole Stands Her Ground

Later, Nicole featured in another video where she shared with her audience the outfit that earned her the scolding. “I wasn’t showing anything except for my stomach and my arms, but you guys are behaving as if I went out naked,” she explained as she defended her clothing.

She also accused Disney of inconsistency in enforcing dress code policies. “People are really upset with me for wearing a sports bra at Disney. The irony of that post was that I saw a lot of people at Disney wearing a lot less than what I was,” Nicole explained.

Even though she was permitted to enter the park wearing it, Nicole was subsequently informed that it was inappropriate, igniting frustration and confusion regarding what is accepted as proper dress. Disney has not officially commented on the incident to date.
