In the viral video, the victim is seen lying face down on a sofa, half-naked, while one assailant sits on his face. Simultaneously, another man aggressively beats the victim with a belt. When the victim attempts to pull up his pants, the man on top forcefully pushes his hand down, preventing any attempt at self-defense. The video also features a Hindi caption that reads, “Waapas aa rahe hain apne andaaz me, log bhool gae hain hamein” (“We are coming back in our style; people have forgotten us”), adding a chilling context to the attack.

Swift Police Action
Following the video’s rapid spread online, local authorities in Deoria initiated an investigation. According to police statements, one suspect, Rohit Srivastava, son of Ashok Lal Srivastava from Hariya Ward Number 5 in Salempur, has been arrested and is currently undergoing questioning. Another suspect, Priyanshu Singh, son of Dhananjay Singh from the Dehri area under the Mail police station jurisdiction, has been identified and is being actively searched for. Additional legal proceedings are underway as the investigation continues.
