President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump made headlines on Friday as they exchanged a kiss and cuddle on the Truman Balcony in the lead-up to the spectacular Fourth of July fireworks in Washington, D.C. The sweet moment had many spectators smiling and uttering ‘awww’.

As the Independence Day celebrations came to a close, Melania accompanied Trump onto the balcony, copying his characteristic dance steps to mark both the celebration and the signing of his “Big, Beautiful Bill.” The First Lady even shimmyed beside her husband and posed in playful fashion.

The president, in character, did his signature ‘Trump Dance’, wherein he hips swivels back and forth rhythmically and punches the air. Following the fireworks, the DJ played the Village People’s ‘YMCA’, prompting Trump to launch into his signature dance once again, Melania mimicking him briefly for a few seconds.

In a surprising twist, the DJ also spun a list of pop songs by artists who are Democrats Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris supporters Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. The playlist consisted of LGBTQ anthems like Chappell Roan’s ‘Hot To Go!’ and ‘Defying Gravity’, sang by Cynthia Erivo in the new Wicked film.

Amid the energetic vibe, the audience burst into ‘four more years’ and even ‘eight more years’ chants, expressing their love for Trump’s presidency.

Trump and Melania dance become viral

Twitter was filled with users posting videos of the couple’s adorable balcony moment. Fans raved about the spectacle, with one penning, “SO deserve this moment.” Another tweeted, “A true leader and definitely for the American people! America First!”

Others praised the couple’s chemistry, stating, “Absolutely love how he pulls her in close and kisses her. ❤️” A user commented, “Our First Lady is absolutely radiant! She’s glowing. She never glowed like that in the first term.”

Trump’s dance has also acquired a life of its own outside of politics and political rallies. MAGA supporters have made it a victory dance, as when a flash mob broke it out on Staten Island to celebrate Trump’s second-term nomination. The fun dance steps have even caught up with professional athletes in the UFC and WWE, who have embraced it as a victory dance.
