An old image of Tej Pratap Yadav, the son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, is again going viral on social media for looking eerily similar to Ranbir Kapoor’s legendary look in the 2011 movie Rockstar. The picture, initially shared in 2019 when Tej updated his profile picture, has resurfaced on social media, evoking laughter as well as sarcasm.
In the going-viral photo, Tej is dressed in a white bandhgala kurta paired with a green jacket, colors representing his party’s identity. A green cap lies atop his curly hair, and a big teeka on his forehead. His brooding expression adds to the drama only, and netizens are already quick to draw parallels to the sulky Jordan, essayed by Ranbir Kapoor.
An Instagram update with the picture captioned, “Tej Pratap Yadav to enact Jordan Yadav in Bhojpuri remake of Rockstar.”
The caption was spicier: “Bhojpuri films get its own Rockstar as Tej Pratap is front and center in the official remake. Ditched by the party, signed on by the producers, appears heartbreak and rebellion are not strictly in the script. From politics to playback, the saga continues.”
Social Media Responds Humorously
The comment section was soon filled with funny reactions. One of them joked, “Nadaan Bhauji,” while another typed, “Re Jordanwa.” Others posted such lines as, ‘Sadda Haq got real now’ and ‘Perfect role for Teju bhaiya’. Someone even proposed a suitable title for the dream movie: “Please name it Jordar Yadav.”
Political Fallout and Controversy
The photo went viral again just a few weeks after Tej Pratap was six-year-suspended from the RJD by his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav. Citing ‘irresponsible behavior’ and disassociation with family values, Lalu also announced that he was disowning Tej as a family member.
This disciplinary action came after a questionable Facebook post where Tej has stated he was in a 12-year relationship with a lady called Anushka Yadav. He wrote, accompanied by a photograph, “The one you see in this picture is Anushka Yadav. We have been known to each other for the past 12 years. We are in love and we’ve been together for the past 12 years.”
The post triggered gossip and recalled many of his earlier high-profile marital controversies. But within a day, Tej denied making the post, saying his Facebook account had been hacked into. He said someone was trying to ‘defame and harass’ him and his family.
As the internet chatter over ‘Jordan Yadav’ keeps on going, Tej Pratap is still a personality where politics, drama, and web humour collide.
