From viral reels to front-page drama, “Bua content” never fails to entertain the desi internet—and the latest example is a newspaper ad that’s pure comedic gold.

A woman’s unusually heartfelt and hilarious plea in a newspaper titled “Save my necklace (From Bua)” has gone viral for its spot-on portrayal of a very relatable Indian family issue.

According to the ad, the woman’s husband gifted her an 18K diamond necklace for her birthday. But the real plot twist? Her sister-in-law has worn it more often than she has. “Her husband’s sister had worn it on more occasions than I have, and now it’s on her WhatsApp DP. I’m done,” she wrote.

Apparently, refusing to share the jewellery isn’t an option either. “Saying no to her is not an option as bank lockers have a 5-year waitlist,” she added.

Seeking a solution, the woman asked the public for creative suggestions, saying, “I’m desperately seeking a way to keep the necklace safe and 24×7 accessible for me but far enough from her.” She even provided an email address antibualocker@gmail.com, for tips.

Internet Reacts: “Greater Kailash or Greater Kalesh?”

The post was first shared by the X (formerly Twitter) account “Ghar Ke Kalesh” with the caption, “Kalesh with Bua ends up in a newspaper.” It quickly struck a chord with netizens.

One user commented, “My bua lives in Greater Kailash, we all call it Greater Kalesh.” Another quipped, “Let Bua also show her side of the story via the same newspaper.”

A third summed up the emotional hostage crisis perfectly: “It’s not a necklace anymore. It’s a hostage. And the ransom is emotional blackmail.”

A New Trend in Viral Print Ads?

This isn’t the first time such humorous ads have grabbed attention. Previously, a matrimonial ad made headlines where a 30-year-old woman listed her dream groom: a well-built businessman aged 25–28 with a bungalow or a 20-acre farmhouse—plus cooking skills and zero burps or farts.

If nothing else, these ads are proving one thing, newspapers aren’t dead; they’re just getting sassier.
