A video that has gone viral on social media shows a black Tesla Cybertruck driving in circles in downtown Los Angeles, draped in a Mexican flag and spray-painted with phrases like “ACAB” and “F*** ICE.” The footage appears to be from the ongoing protests following aggressive immigration raids conducted by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers across the city on Friday.
In the clip, a man records from the back of the Cybertruck while the vehicle loops around a downtown street. Protesters surrounding the vehicle can be seen raising their fists and chanting in approval. Although the exact date of the footage remains unverified, the scene coincides with unrest sparked by rumors that immigration detainees were being held in a federal building’s basement.
Protests Escalate After Immigration Raids
Following the ICE raids, anger spread quickly across LA. By Friday evening, hundreds of demonstrators had gathered downtown. Over the weekend, the protests intensified, cars were torched, shops were looted, and law enforcement responded with rubber bullets and tear gas to control the crowds.

In response, US President Donald Trump deployed 2,000 National Guard troops and 700 active-duty Marines to the city. “If I didn’t ‘SEND IN THE TROOPS’ to Los Angeles the last three nights, that once beautiful and great City would be burning to the ground right now,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Newsom Slams Trump’s Military Response
California Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the President’s actions, calling them an overreach. “US Marines shouldn’t be deployed on American soil facing their own countrymen to fulfill the deranged fantasy of a dictatorial President. This is un-American,” Newsom said on X (formerly Twitter).
The situation in Los Angeles continues to unfold, with tensions between protesters, local authorities, and federal forces still running high.
