In a bizarre twist of modern-day content creation, an Australian man who once juggled carpentry and weekend stripping now earns a fortune by selling fart videos online.
Nath Wyld, formerly a carpenter by day and a topless waiter and stripper at Melbourne’s Magic Men by night, has taken a wildly unconventional career turn. His popularity on Instagram led fans to urge him to join OnlyFans in 2017. “At the start it was very tame, just photos of me semi-naked and short videos of me posing – just a little bit raunchier than what you could post on Instagram,” he told The Metro.
Eventually, Wyld embraced explicit content and saw a financial breakthrough, earning around £3,280 (Rs 3.8 lakh) in his very first month. The income allowed him to leave his carpentry job and pursue content creation full-time. “Not having to work eight hours a day and commute was a huge bonus , now I have the freedom to work from home,” he said.
The Farting Frenzy Begins
Wyld’s most unexpected revenue stream came when fans began requesting fart videos. Initially reluctant, he eventually gave in to the demand and posted his first pay-per-view clip, filmed in his bedroom. “I wasn’t very keen to do it so I left it and said no,” he recalled. “I was blown away (no pun intended) by the demand.”
One of those videos earned him £2,050 (Rs 2.3 lakh) alone. Now, fart videos account for about 20% of his annual income, helping him rake in over £101,000 (Rs 1.17 crore) yearly. Each month, he earns about £1,540 (Rs 90,000) just from this niche.
‘This One’s For You’
Wyld caters to a diverse fanbase with specific requests. Some want certain outfits or camera angles, while others prefer he speak directly to them. “Some want me to talk to them, saying things like, ‘Wish you were here to smell this’ or ‘This one’s for you.’ Others want complete silence,” he shared.
To prepare, Wyld sticks to a diet rich in chicken and green veggies to induce bloating. Wearing tight shorts or a jockstrap, he films himself squatting over the camera.
Despite receiving some judgment, Wyld stands by his unique career choice. “I’m content with my career path,” he added.
