Viral internet sensation Monalisa Bhosle, who shot to fame with her mesmerizing blue-brown eyes at the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, has begun her training for an impending career in Bollywood. A 16-year-old girl from Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, is currently under the wing of filmmaker Sanoj Mishra in Mumbai.
She has been tapped for the lead role in The Diary of Manipur, where she plays the retired army officer’s daughter opposite veteran actor Anupam Kher.
Monalisa’s Journey from Maha Kumbh to Mumbai
A video of Monalisa learning to read and write, training under the director, Sanoj Mishra, has also gone viral. In the video, she sits in a small room with a strip of paper with the word ‘Anaram’ written on it as Sanoj patiently explains its letters. Her cousin also supports Monalisa during the training.
Many interesting conversations followed as Sanoj asked Monalisa about how she managed to handle her Instagram without any knowledge of reading and writing. She replied that she uploaded pictures only and didn’t know how to caption them. Another part of the same training session shows Monalisa reciting Hindi vowels as she repeats, “अ आ, ई ई, उ ऊ.”
How Monalisa Became an Internet Sensation
Monalisa first drew public attention when she was seen selling rudraksha and pearl garlands during the Maha Kumbh along with her family. Spotting her attractive eyes and innocent smile, the little girl quickly became an internet sensation. But on being overwhelmed by the crowd and sudden limelight, she soon decided to head home to Maheshwar.
