Sunil Patel, popularly Dolly Chaiwala of Nagpur, became super popular due to his showy dress sense and unique tea-making style. While he was already a social media sensation, his popularity went through the roof after he served Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates a cup of tea, making him an overnight internet sensation. Now, in a generation where content creators tend to copy styles, it seems Dolly Chaiwala has some rivalry.
A viral clip on social media is of a tea vendor dressed to the minute like Dolly Chaiwala. Wearing a hot pink top, beige waistcoat and matching trousers, the seller also copied Dolly’s gold chains, watch bracetlet, highlighted locks, and colorful shades.
As the video goes on, a group of people form around his stand to observe him mimic Dolly’s peculiar style of pouring milk into the container. The shop, Yadav Lassi Bhandar, is located in Lucknow. “I am Lucknow’s Dolly Chaiwala,” the seller announces in the video. The video later went viral, entertaining people on social media.

There was a recent buzz that Dolly Chaiwala would be appointed as Tata Starbucks’ brand ambassador in India. But the company later refuted these rumors in an official statement.
