Lauren Sanchez Takes Bezos Name on Instagram After Wedding

Lauren Sanchez has now officially taken on her new last name on social media following her union with Jeff Bezos. The ex-news anchor changed both her name and handle on Instagram, now posted as Lauren Sanchez Bezos with the user name ‘@laurensanchezbezos’.

Only an hour ago, Lauren posted the first look at their lavish Venice wedding on Instagram. Notably, all other pictures on her feed have been archived, with only the wedding picture and the photo of her wearing her bridal gown still visible.

A Venetian Wedding

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez were married on June 27, 2025, in a lavish black-tie ceremony on San Giorgio Maggiore island in Venice. Their multi-day celebration included a welcome dinner prior to the big event. The union was referred to as the ‘wedding of the century’.

The guest list was tinsel town affair, featuring big shots like Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Orlando Bloom, and many more. Indian celebrities like socialite Natasha Poonawalla and businessman Mona Patel also attended to join the celebrations.

Lauren’s Surprising Wedding Dress

On her special day, Lauren chose a traditional bridal appearance. Vogue reports that she wore down the aisle in a high-neck, hand-appliquéd Italian lace wedding gown by Dolce & Gabbana with a veil.

Jeff Bezos, who wanted a preview, has been said to have begged to view the dress first. “I almost gave in!” Sanchez admitted prior to the wedding. “But I want to surprise him. Once you get a little older, not that much surprises you anymore. I just can’t wait to see his face.”

Her decision surprised those who thought the bride would choose the red-carpet, strapless modern looks she frequently sports on the red carpet. To justify her choice, Lauren told Vogue, “It went from ‘I want a simple, sexy modern dress’ to ‘I want something that captures a moment,’ and where I am now. I am a different person than I was five years ago.”

She also captioned the gown in an Instagram post as “Not just a gown, a piece of poetry.”
