Swiss baker Natasha Coline Kim Fah Lee Fokas, the founder of SweetyCakes GmbH, has officially secured a spot in the Guinness World Records for crafting the largest supported wearable cake dress, weighing an astonishing 131.15 kilograms.

Debuted at Swiss World Wedding Fair

Fokas unveiled the edible masterpiece at the Swiss World Wedding Fair on January 15. Designed using traditional cake ingredients, the dress had a circumference of 4.15 meters, a height of 1.57 meters, and a diameter of 1.319 meters. The bottom portion of the gown rested on an aluminum frame that mimicked a skirt, while a small board and wheels kept the structure stable and wearable. The upper half of the dress was molded from sugar paste, completing the stunning bridal design.

Once officially verified, Fokas was awarded the Guinness certificate. Portions of the dress were served to guests at the fair, turning the visual spectacle into a tasty experience.

A Dream Baked Into Reality

Sharing her journey, Natasha reflected on how the idea began: “A few years ago, I was in the middle of my work as a cake designer, in my then tiny ‘shop’, at the back of my mini studio and busy decorating a wedding cake, I had a crazy idea: How great would it be if a whole wedding dress was made of cake…?”

She recalled that within days of the idea, her daughter Elli modeled the first prototype. “The most difficult part: how is it possible to construct the part of the dress that has to be worn on the skin in such a way that it holds up. It wasn’t perfect, but perfect for the first time.”

Natasha added, “The attempt was a challenge to myself and it’s nice to have it officially confirmed.”

Internet Applauds the Cake Gown

Guinness World Records shared a video of the cake dress on Instagram, drawing massive online attention. The post, which showcases the model walking in the floral royal icing-decorated gown, has gathered 1.3 million views and over 46,000 likes in just one day.

Comments poured in from amazed viewers: “Ouu she’s got cake,” wrote one user. “This is incredible,” said another.
“Pretty impressed she was able to walk around with that much weight on her shoulders, some people can’t even deadlift that,” joked a third. “‘Where’s the cake?’… ‘She’s wearing it,’” quipped another. “That’s awesome!! I wouldn’t have eaten it tho,” added a fifth.
