Kids Caught Stealing Nuts And Bolts From Rs 422 Crore Patna Flyover | VIDEO

A shocking video has surfaced online just days after Bihar’s first double-decker flyover was inaugurated in Patna. The footage shows a group of children allegedly stealing nuts and bolts from the newly constructed bridge in broad daylight.

The clip, shared widely on social media, captures 4–5 children unscrewing metal fittings from the bridge. A bystander, who noticed the act, recorded the incident and confronted the kids. He is heard in the video asking, “Tum log chori karna chalu kar diya?” (You people started stealing?). Upon being scolded, the children quickly ran away.

The video then shifts focus to the tampered section of the bridge, clearly showing where the children had removed components.

Netizens Demand Accountability

The video drew widespread reactions online. Many social media users expressed concern over the safety of the bridge and criticized the lack of security measures. One user commented, “Don’t spare the children. Give some strict punishment.” Another questioned the structural design of the bridge, saying, “Really? Anyone can open it? Wow… well thought and built then.”

The viral clip was posted by @gemsofbabus on X (formerly Twitter), who claimed that the children involved were of Bangladeshi origin. However, local authorities and law enforcement have not issued any official statement on the matter.

Bridge Aimed At Reducing Congestion

The flyover, costing ₹422 crore, was recently inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Built to ease traffic on the congested Ashok Rajpath corridor, the bridge connects major locations including NIT, PMCH, and Patna University, according to The Indian Express.

While the incident has sparked serious concerns over bridge security and public infrastructure protection, authorities have yet to respond formally to the viral video.
