The entertainment industry is in mourning over the untimely death of actor-model Shefali Jariwala. During her career span, Shefali shared good vibes with many people, one of whom was Hindustani Bhau, better known as Vikas Fhatak. These two shared an emotional bond beyond that of best friends, the duo had a sibling-like relationship, which they developed while spending time as a part of Bigg Boss 13.
If you’re wondering who Hindustani Bhau is, here’s a quick look. Vikas Fhatak, popularly recognized as Hindustani Bhau, rose to fame through his controversial YouTube videos. A Khar resident, he became known for sitting in his car and delivering strongly worded, often abusive, monologues that garnered massive attention and also landed him in legal trouble.
His Mumbai accent and catchphrase “Ruko Jara, Sabar Karo” were a favorite meme all across Indian popular culture. His online life was not completely controversy-free, however, as his Instagram account and YouTube channel were temporarily suspended due to inflammatory content.
Before transitioning to online fame, Vikas was a Thane local newspaper crime reporter. He now has over 4.7 million followers on Instagram. His popularity later earned him a spot as a wild card contestant on Bigg Boss 13. Although he was ousted a few weeks into the series, his brief stay won hearts.
Vikas and Shefali were not on speaking terms in the Bigg Boss house at first, frequently having annoyed arguments. But finally, they let go of their differences, became good friends, and even created a gorgeous brother-sister bond. Shefali even placed a rakhi around his neck on Rakshabandhan, marking the special relationship they had formed. In 2020, she posted a sweet Instagram post for him, stating, “Mera bhai!!! @hindustanibhau #family #love #instalove #brotherandsister #loveyou #myrock #brotherforlife.”
