A disturbing video circulating online has sparked widespread condemnation after it captured a group of youths abusing a horse during a wedding procession. The footage, originally posted on Instagram by user “Its Jeenwal Shab,” shows a man performing push-ups on the animal’s back while it is forced to smoke a cigarette.
Shocking Footage Captures Animal Abuse
The video, which quickly went viral, reveals the distressing treatment of a horse during a wedding celebration. In the footage, the animal is shown lying on the ground as onlookers encourage the abusive act. A man in the video climbs onto the horse with his boots and proceeds to do push-ups on its back. In a particularly appalling moment, the horse is seen with a cigarette held at its mouth, as if being forced to smoke. Despite the chaos and cruelty displayed, none of the wedding guests appeared to intervene or question the behaviour.

Public Outcry and Activist Response
Social media users have reacted with fury, sharing the video widely and demanding that strict action be taken against those responsible for the abuse. Prominent figures, including Indian actresses Karishma K Tanna and Tinaa Dattaa, voiced their disgust, with one remarking, “My blood is boiling. Only if I had the powers,” while another simply stated, “This is wrong.” Animal rights groups, including PETA India, have also been tagged in calls for an investigation into the incident.
Aftermath and Deletion of Video
Shortly after the video sparked massive outrage online, the Instagram user behind the post, Jeenwal Shab, removed the reel. Jeenwal’s earlier posts, which included images from a tourist attraction in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, suggest that he may be a local resident or visiting during the wedding event. Despite the deletion, the video continues to circulate, intensifying calls for accountability and justice for the abused animal.
