A video has surfaced online showing a woman, allegedly Farheen Khan—wife of Chhattisgarh’s Janjgir-Champa DSP Taslim Arif—celebrating her birthday atop a police vehicle with a blue beacon. The footage, which quickly went viral, has sparked widespread criticism for misuse of a government resource.
In the viral clip, the DSP’s wife and a group of women can be seen making a reel while hanging out of the official vehicle. Farheen Khan is visibly seated on the bonnet with all doors and the trunk open. The celebratory moment appears to have been filmed at Sargana Resort.

In another video, she is seen spraying snow spray on the windscreen and writing “32,” which is wiped off by a man in the driver’s seat before she replaces it with “33.” A birthday cake and bouquet rest on the car bonnet, further underlining the informal use of the police vehicle.
Violation of Official Protocol
According to government regulations, vehicles with blue beacons are strictly for official duty. Personal usage, especially for celebrations, is considered a clear breach of administrative conduct. Despite the viral nature of the video, there have been no official statements or disciplinary actions taken against DSP Taslim Arif as of now.
