Just days after Bhopal’s flyover with a 90-degree turn stunned social media, the city is once again in the spotlight—this time for a quirky digital clock tower. Located at Polytechnic Square, the clock shows a different time on each of its four sides, with one side even remaining nonfunctional.
The Indian National Congress shared a video of the clock tower on social media, pointing out the glaring flaw. One side displayed 8:58 PM, while another showed 9:05 PM, with visibly inconsistent readings around the structure. The post quickly gained traction, sparking widespread amusement and mockery.

Congress and Netizens Take Jabs
Even Congress Kerala joined in the trolling on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “The world famous ₹40 Lakh clock tower of Bihar Sharif can take rest. Bhopal clock tower is here to help!”
A social media user quipped, “After a 90-degree turn flyover, Bhopal presents a time-traveling clock tower. Bhopal isn’t for beginners.” The clip has since gone viral, igniting a mix of laughter and disbelief among residents and netizens alike.
The back-to-back civic embarrassments have left Bhopal trending online for all the wrong reasons—first for an absurd road design, now for a dysfunctional timepiece that seems to exist in multiple time zones at once.
