A shocking incident unfolded on Iranian state television when a live broadcast from Tehran was abruptly cut off after a loud explosion rocked the studio. The dramatic moment, captured on camera, has since gone viral across social media platforms.
The blast came shortly after reports of an Israeli strike in the region. During the live programme, a visibly panicked anchor was reading the news when a sudden explosion was heard. The screen behind the reporter shattered as dust filled the studio. The anchor quickly left the frame, and the broadcast was immediately replaced with a prerecorded programme. In the background, chants of “Allahu Akbar” could be heard amid the chaos.

According to Iran’s state-run news agency, the explosion occurred inside the capital city of Tehran. The on-air reporter had just mentioned “the sound of aggression against the homeland” before the loud blast interrupted the transmission.
The incident followed an Israeli warning issued an hour earlier, advising evacuation in the area where Iran’s state TV studio is located. Israeli officials claimed that nearly 3,30,000 people in the capital were affected by the alert.
Part of a Larger Escalation
This attack appears to be part of an intensifying conflict between Israel and Iran. Brigadier General Effie Defrin, a spokesperson for the Israeli military, said, “Israel has gained air superiority over Tehran and can carry out strikes with minimal resistance.” He also stated that Israeli forces had destroyed over 120 missile launchers and 10 command centres operated by Iran’s Quds Force.
Iran retaliated by firing over 100 missiles into Israel, killing at least eight people and injuring more than 500. One of the missiles reportedly landed near the American consulate in Tel Aviv. However, U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee confirmed that no American personnel were harmed.
As of now, Iranian authorities have not released an official statement regarding casualties or the full extent of the damage at the TV studio. The situation remains tense, and more updates are expected.
