In the wake of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on Friday that the United States is engaged in active efforts to mediate and de-escalate the conflict.
She confirmed that Secretary of State and NSA Marco Rubio has been in constant touch with leaders from both countries. President Trump also showed a keen interest in a quick resolution, aware of the long history of animosity between the two nations.

Leavitt was clear that the President cares for his good relations with Indian and Pakistani leadership and is keen to avoid further escalation by going the diplomatic way further.
