US President Donald Trump made a powerful return to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday. He delivered a speech lasting over an hour, celebrating his actions against the Biden administration and pushing strong right-wing views.

Trump Rallies Supporters at CPAC

As he took the stage, the crowd cheered, including individuals he had pardoned for their involvement in the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Two years ago, at the same event, Trump declared, “I am your retribution.” Now, he reinforced that message. “We have escorted the radical-left bureaucrats out of the building and have locked the doors behind them,” he said. “We’ve gotten rid of thousands.”

Trump Sees Victory as a Global Turning Point

Trump’s speech happened amid a conference that framed his return as a major victory for right-wing political movements worldwide. Moreover, he promoted his tough stance on immigration. He proudly stated that his administration had ended temporary protected status for hundreds of thousands of Haitian immigrants and tried to ban birthright citizenship for children of non-legal residents.

Trump Targets Biden and Political Opponents

Trump directly attacked Joe Biden, claiming the former president misused the justice system against him. “I ended Joe Biden’s weaponization as soon as I got in. I said, ‘I’m going to hit him with the same stuff,’” he stated. Throughout his 2024 campaign, Trump repeatedly promised revenge on his political opponents. He made it clear once again. “The fraudsters, liars, cheaters, globalists, and deep-state bureaucrats are being sent packing,” he declared. Meanwhile, his administration continues efforts to shrink federal bureaucracy. Toward the end of his speech, he also addressed the criminal investigations and scrutiny he faces.

Trump Boasts About His Early Presidency

Trump criticized the Democrats, claiming they had “lost their confidence” and had “the worst policy in history.” He proudly spoke about his first month back in office. “Nobody has seen four weeks like we’ve had,” he said.

Trump’s History with CPAC

Trump has attended CPAC on and off since 2011, when he considered running in the 2012 Republican primary against Barack Obama. After losing the 2020 election, he remained popular among CPAC attendees in 2021. Back then, he used the stage to attack Republicans who criticized him or refused to support his claims of election fraud.

International Conservatives Praise Trump

This year’s event attracted conservative leaders from around the world. Among them were Argentine President Javier Milei, who is dealing with a crypto scandal, Polish President Andrzej Duda, and British Reform Party leader Nigel Farage. They all praised Trump after his speech.
