The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a sharp warning, calling on civilians in Tehran to leave immediately on Monday. The message came through social media and was posted by Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson.

He stated that the area would soon face airstrikes targeting “military infrastructure.” The tone and style of the message were similar to earlier warnings issued to civilians in Gaza.

This warning comes as Israel expands its military campaign inside Iran, which began on Friday. Israeli forces claim they now have control over Iranian airspace, including above Tehran, and have bombed key oil, gas, and missile facilities.

Trump Warns of Possible War

Former US President Donald Trump also made a strong statement. He wrote on Truth Social, “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” While speaking at the G7 summit in Italy, he added, “IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON,” reinforcing his firm stance against Tehran’s nuclear program.

Although Trump did not confirm if the US military is involved in Israel’s attacks, he hinted at action. “As soon as I leave here, we’re going to be doing something. But I have to leave here,” he told reporters.

China Advises Nationals to Leave Conflict Zone

Meanwhile, China is also reacting to the rising conflict. Its embassy in Tel Aviv advised Chinese citizens to leave Israel and neighboring areas as soon as possible. They suggested using land crossings into Jordan.

Due to the closure of Israeli airspace and the growing violence, the embassy warned of “increasing civilian casualties and deteriorating security.”

Iran Responds With Threats and Possible Nuclear Shift

In response to the strikes, Iran issued strong warnings. On Monday, the Iranian government said it might pull out of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). This treaty is a global agreement designed to stop the spread of nuclear weapons.

A government spokesperson explained that Iran was now considering “all options” because of Israel’s aggressive military actions.

Casualties Mount on Both Sides

According to Iranian officials, at least 224 people have died since Friday, most of them civilians. On the other side, Israel has reported 24 deaths and over 590 people injured.

Background: How the Conflict Grew

This latest conflict marks the most dangerous phase yet in the long-standing hostility between Iran and Israel. For years, the two countries have fought indirectly using cyberattacks, covert operations, and proxy wars.

Tensions skyrocketed after the October 7, 2023 Hamas-led attack on Israel. That incident triggered a wave of military action across the region. Armed groups like Hezbollah and other Iran-backed militias joined the fight, leading to direct clashes between Israel and Iran. Now, the world watches as fears grow that this could evolve into a full-blown war with nuclear risks.
