Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue strikes against Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure, after a deadly Iranian counter-offensive hit Tel Aviv on Friday. The attack caused several injuries and left many buildings destroyed.

In a video statement, Netanyahu said,

“In the past 24 hours, we have taken out top military commanders, senior nuclear scientists, the Islamic regime’s most significant enrichment facility and a large portion of its ballistic missile arsenal.”

He warned the Iranian leadership, calling it a “weak regime,” and added,

“More is on the way. The regime does not know what hit them, or what will hit them. It has never been weaker.”

Call to Iranian Citizens

Netanyahu also urged Iranian citizens to rise up against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, labeling the regime as “evil and oppressive.”

“The time has come for the Iranian people to unite… by standing up for your freedom,” he said.

He further revealed that Israel is in the middle of a massive military campaign, named “Operation Rising Lion.”

Iran’s Retaliation and Regional Impact

Iran launched its counter-attack late Friday, directly hitting Tel Aviv, resulting in injuries and structural damage. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei earlier vowed to leave Israel in “ruins” in response to Israeli strikes.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz condemned the attack, stating:

“Iran has crossed red lines by daring to fire missiles at civilian population centres in Israel.”

He added that Israel would make Iran “pay a very heavy price.”

Tensions Involving Allies

  • Yemen, an Iranian ally, also launched airstrikes against Israel on the same day.
  • The US military reportedly helped intercept drones headed for Israel, highlighting the growing international involvement.
