Elon Musk’s latest effort to show off Starlink’s ability to operate in the air and his gaming prowess turned bitter as he became the laughing stock of the internet after a livestream of Path of Exile 2 on his personal jet.

The billionaire, who streamed live on X on Saturday, referred to it as an “airborne continuity test” of Starlink, his satellite internet business. But, as The Mirror said, the broadcast soon turned into a deluge of criticism at Musk’s political views, his personal life, and his corporate choices — from layoffs to support for Donald Trump.

As reported by The Verge, Musk quietly went through the first few stages of the game, dying over and over and resetting with fresh characters. His acting didn’t do anything to mitigate the situation, as observers swooped on his repeated deaths. Interestingly, Musk has earlier confessed to paying for engagement boosts on his page.

Bullying During Live Stream

Shortly after the stream started, the bullying commenced. One user requested, “Can you pls j**k off mr trump so he has a heart attack. [sic]” That was only the start.

“You have no actual friends and will die alone,” one viewer wrote. Another read, “You will always feel insecure and it will never go away.”

“Ruined the country just like you ruined all your marriages,” added someone, and another user jeered at his company: “Elon how is it possible to look so dumb and ugly why is ur Tesla company falling apart? [sic]”

One gamer, impersonating conservative commentator Ashley St Clair, quipped: “Elon. It’s me, Ashley St Claire. I have no other way of reaching you so I just purchased PoE2 early access just for this. Please pay your child support. Thank you Elon,” and continued to repeat the message through the stream.

Though some users attempted to guide Musk through the game and turn off the chat function, their efforts were drowned out by the torrent of trolling.

Despite the harassment, Musk remained for the most part quiet. When he did, he replied to one with, “There’s a lot of r—–s in the chat.” Shortly later, after his character died a third time, Musk suddenly closed the stream due to ‘connection was lost’.
