A British F-35 fighter jet made an emergency landing at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Saturday night, PTI reported, citing sources. The emergency landing was done reportedly due to low fuel and the aircraft is currently parked at the airport. A UK F-35 fighter aircraft had to carry out an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Saturday evening, as per a report by PTI based on sources.

The emergency took place due to low fuel levels, and the aircraft is parked at the airport. Officials responded promptly in order to allow the landing. The source of the incident said, The pilot indicated low fuel and requested landing permission. It was all done efficiently and professionally.” The same source informs that the jet, which is thought to have taken off from an aircraft carrier, landed safely around 9:30 pm on Saturday.

For the purpose of a safe and secure landing, airport officials announced an emergency prior to the arrival of the jet. According to PTI, the fighter aircraft will be refueled once the required clearance is approved by the concerned Central government agencies.
