US Secretary Of State Rubio To Meet Saudi Crown Prince As US-Ukraine Tensions Rise Over War

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to Saudi Arabia from March 10-12 for meetings with Ukrainian representatives, the US Department of State said.

Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said that Rubio will also meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman while in the kingdom.

After traveling to Saudi Arabia, Rubio will go to Canada to attend the G7 meeting of foreign ministers on March 12-14.

Rubio has just spoken with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, reiterating that President Donald Trump is determined to end the Russia-Ukraine war as quickly as possible.

Trump suspended military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine following a February 28 disagreement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House.

Zelenskyy has also confirmed that he will visit Saudi Arabia on Monday to see Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Also, Ukrainian diplomatic and defense officials are likely to meet with the US side on Tuesday.
