India won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 crown with a dominant four-wicket win over New Zealand in the final on Sunday. Inspired by Rohit Sharma’s aggressive batting and Indian spinners’ brilliance, the Men in Blue chased down the 252-run target in Dubai successfully.

Rohit’s Aggressive Knock Sets the Tone

Skipper Rohit Sharma laid the foundation with his scorching 76 of 83 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. His half-century, the quickest in the tournament for India, built a solid platform before Glenn Phillips pulled off a fabulous catch to send Shubman Gill packing for 31.

Shreyas Iyer (39) and Axar Patel (30*) saw India through with ease, keeping the team on course.

Indian Spinners Dominate New Zealand Batting

Earlier, Indian bowlers turned in a clinical performance to bundle out New Zealand for 251/7. Kuldeep Yadav (2/40) and Varun Chakravarthy (2/45) tore through crucial stands, while Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with a wicket apiece.

In this victory of the Champions Trophy 2025, India added a new ICC title to their long list of cabinets.
