Did Elon Musk Bring Drugs to the White House? Here’s What Trump Said

President Donald Trump is expressing his displeasure with the suggestion that Elon Musk would bring drugs into the White House while leading the administration’s initiative to slash government spending. “I don’t know. I don’t think so,” the president told reporters on June 9. “I hope not.”

Relationship Between Trump and Musk

Trump’s comments are the most he’s said on the topic of Musk’s alleged use of recreational and medicinal drugs, which the New York Times reported on in late May, citing unnamed sources who described the billionaire using ketamine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms while campaigning with Trump in 2024.

Trump further stressed he had a “good relationship” with the business tycoon who donated about $275 million to help him win the presidency, and wished him well.

Musk’s Denial and Clarification on Drugs

Elon Musk denied a report and said, “To be clear, I am NOT taking drugs! The New York Times was lying their ass off.” He also added that, “I tried ‘prescription’ ketamine a few years ago and said so on X, so this is not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but I haven’t taken it since then.”

Musk previously admitted to taking ketamine, stating that doctors prescribed it to treat a “negative frame of mind” and suggesting that his drug use benefited his work. That should read more clearly now! Let me know if you need further refinements. “Let’s move on,” Musk said at the time.

Since then, Trump and Musk’s relationship has frayed as they openly fought over the president’s tax bill. These allegations can up on Elon musk can be new strategies to add fuel to their good relationship and hide the main motive.

Pressed to comment on Musk, Trump repeated himself that he had a “good relationship” with the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and X before their dispute. “I just wish him well. Very well, actually,” he said.
