Cheered on by her son, Brigadier Shekhawat, she became India’s oldest woman to skydive, proving courage and dreams have no age limit.
</excerpt>

If you’re looking for an extraordinary way to celebrate a birthday, here’s a story that might just spark your next big adventure. Dr. Shraddha Chauhan, at the remarkable age of 80, has set a new record by becoming the oldest Indian woman to complete a skydive. She chose to mark her milestone birthday by leaping from an altitude of 10,000 feet.

What is more remarkable is that Dr. Chauhan accomplished this while struggling with vertigo, cervical spondylitis, and spinal disc problems. Her skydive occurred at Skyhigh India, located at the Narnaul Airstrip in Haryana, India’s only certified civilian drop zone, a mere two hours away from Delhi.

A clip of her leap, which went viral later, was uploaded by Skyhigh India on its official Instagram account. The touching video captures Dr. Chauhan gearing up for the leap with the help of her son, Retired Brigadier Saurabh Singh Shekhawat, who is one of India’s top-decorated officers.

In the video, while Dr. Chauhan, clearly moved to emotion, kisses her son on the cheek, he stands beaming and says to her, “Happy Birthday.” Dr. Chauhan was also overjoyed, adding, “The wish I had in my heart to fly in the sky like an aeroplane, today my son has done that. It’s a very proud moment.”

The video nicely covers Brigadier Shekhawat taking his mother through the warm-up exercises, assisting her with the preparation inside the plane, and then the thrilling free fall, recorded on a GoPro, as they shared their unforgettable moment of joy way up in the air.

As soon as Dr. Chauhan landed, a cheering crowd greeted her, applauding her record-breaking jump. Skyhigh India captioned the video, “She is now the oldest Indian woman to do a tandem skydive – and the oldest to do so within India. A mother. A milestone. A moment that soared. Courage knows no age. Love has no altitude.”

</excerpt>

Rüdiger Koch, a German aerospace engineer, has established a new world record for the longest time spent living underwater. Staying in a Panama capsule off the coast, the 59-year-old bested an American’s previous mark of 100 days by being submerged for 120 days.

Covering 30 square kilometers, Koch’s undersea habitat was 11 meters under the surface. It came with basics such a bed, a TV, a restroom, a computer, and an exercise bicycle. Solar panels supplied energy while a tube linking the capsule to a room above the water delivered food and goods. That capsule does not have a shower.

Koch said, “What we are attempting to show here is that the seas are really a fit location for human growth.”

Koch commemorated her emergence with champagne, a cigar, and a leap into the Caribbean Sea. He mused, “It was a wonderful trip and now it is over there is nearly a feeling of regret actually. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Saying,’It is impossible to describe; one have to feel that oneself,’ he discussed the beauty of the shimmer sea and the peace underwater.

After much 24 hours per day surveillance, Guinness World Records verified the accomplishment. Guinness’ official Susana Reyes said it was an “remarkable” accomplishment demanding great hard work and willpower.

</excerpt>

Only recently, 23-year-old OnlyFans model Lily Phillips grabbed everyone’s attention when she posted a controversial stunt wherein she slept with more than 101 men within a period of 14 hours. She documented the whole experience in a viral YouTube video entitled “I Slept with 100 Men in One Day.” The whole video initially described it as a personal sexual fantasy; however, the aftermath reveals the vulnerability of Phillips.

The video captured Phillips, who is exhausted and emotionally disturbed, with bloodshot eyes and an unstable body. At some point, she broke into tears, commenting on how the challenge was taking toll: “It’s not for the weak girls if I’m honest – it was hard. I don’t know whether I would recommend it. It feels like a different feeling altogether. It is just one in, one out. It feels so intense.

The video made the people viewing it to have conflicting opinions. While some raised concerns for her well-being, stating that the act was too demanding physically and emotionally, others criticized her for doing that.One commenter wrote, “Her ability to convince herself that this is what she loves to do is what broke my heart because it’s so clear that she is crying out for someone to love her.” Another, a mental health nurse, commented, “As a mental health nurse for 12 years, this made me openly cry. The amount of trauma that girl will have for the rest of her life is insane. Her ‘team’ are not on her side and don’t care about her safety at all.”

In an interview with TMZ, Phillips explained her emotional state, attributing her tears to exhaustion rather than distress. She explained that all the encounters were “fully consensual” and she was not under any pressure from her team. Phillips regretted that some men did not get their promised five minutes, but said her emotional and physical well-being were intact. “The thing is, I’m not a victim, so I don’t deserve this sympathy. I would much rather people put their efforts into someone who’s an actual victim,” she told Dailystar.

Phillips now plans to tackle an even more ambitious task: sleeping with 1,000 men in one day. For this, male participants are required to produce proof of their age by submitting their identity cards and photographs.

Who is Lily Phillips?

Lily Phillips is a British influencer who posts naked content on OnlyFans. She attended college with ambitions to major in nutrition, however, after a period of “sleeping around,” Lily changed her mind and founded her OnlyFans account back in 2020. A very smart businesswoman brought home 2,000 pounds in the first month and, in total, pulled in 2 million pounds. Phillips, with 36,000 paying subscribers, has been criticized for her explicit content but still remains unapologetic. She says she feels “empowered” and “happy” with her choices. Her controversial career has sparked debates on sex work, feminism, and personal agency.

</excerpt>

In an extraordinary display of strength and determination, five-year-old Sanjeev Krishna has set a world record by walking 5 kilometers while pulling a 50-kilogram weight. This remarkable feat, recognized by the Noble Book of World Records, took place on November 7 and has garnered national and international attention, highlighting the boundless potential of young achievers.

A Rigorous Six-Month Journey of Preparation

Sanjeev’s record-breaking accomplishment was the culmination of six months of disciplined training under the guidance of his coach, Mr. S.V. Ramana. The preparation began with daily morning and evening walks of 6 to 8 kilometers, gradually increasing the distance over three months. In the subsequent months, the focus shifted to weight training, where Sanjeev started by pulling 5 kilograms and progressively built up to 50 kilograms.

Weekends were dedicated to trekking a nearby 150-foot mountain, with Sanjeev completing 7 to 8 ascents and descents per session. This combination of endurance-building and strength-focused exercises laid the foundation for his incredible performance.

The Record-Breaking Walk: From Manimangalam to Sriperumbudur and Back

The event commenced at Manimangalam Police Station, where Sanjeev began his 5-kilometer journey. He walked along Sriperumbudur Road for 2.5 kilometers before turning back to finish at the same police station. Local authorities secured the busy highway to ensure a safe environment for his attempt.

The event was closely monitored to ensure compliance with record guidelines, involving meticulous attention to balancing the weight consistently while maintaining a steady pace throughout the walk.

The Driving Force Behind the Achievement

Sanjeev’s mother, Prasanna Gopalakrishnan, revealed that the idea for the event stemmed from a desire to improve her son’s physical health. “Sanjeev was a poor eater, and I wanted to focus on his physical development. Sports not only help in staying fit but also teach discipline, time management, and teamwork,” she explained.

Approaching Coach Ramana proved pivotal. “When we met Mr. Ramana, he introduced us to this challenge and provided the structured training that made this record possible. His support and encouragement were instrumental in helping Sanjeev achieve this incredible feat,” she added.

A Proud Moment for Tamil Nadu and Sanjeev’s Family

Sanjeev, a PP2 student at Budding Minds International School, Manimangalam, has not only made his parents proud but has also brought immense pride to the local community. His father, Gopalakrishnan, expressed gratitude to everyone who supported this journey, particularly the Noble Book of World Records for recognizing Sanjeev’s achievement.

“We also owe special thanks to Inspector Ashokan of T10 Manimangalam Police Station, who supported and encouraged Sanjeev from day one. His efforts in organizing security on the busy highway ensured that the event was conducted safely and smoothly,” said Gopalakrishnan.

A Day to Remember: Dignitaries Present

The record-breaking event was witnessed by local dignitaries, including Inspector Ashokan, who has been a constant source of support for Sanjeev and his family. The inspector commended Sanjeev’s perseverance and resilience, stating, “It’s incredible to see such dedication and strength in a child so young. Sanjeev’s achievement is an inspiration to us all.”

The event also drew the attention of well-wishers and supporters from the local community, who turned out to cheer for Sanjeev as he completed his remarkable feat.

A Vision for the Future

Sanjeev, who enjoys walking, cycling, and trekking, dreams of continuing his outdoor adventures. “I want to go trekking every weekend and stand out from all my friends,” he said confidently after the event. His daily routine already includes walking 8 kilometers with ease, showcasing his natural affinity for endurance activities.

Also read: India’s Real Estate Equity Investments to Surpass $10 Bn in 2024: CBRE-CII Report

A Milestone of Inspiration

Sanjeev Krishna’s achievement adds to India’s legacy of remarkable young talents and serves as a powerful reminder of the potential that lies within each individual. By pushing the boundaries of what is possible, Sanjeev has set an example for children and adults alike, proving that with discipline, guidance, and determination, no dream is too far to reach.

</excerpt>

David Rush, an American man who has set over 300 Guinness World Records, has claimed another one by hanging up clothes. Together with his wife, Jennifer, Rush set the new speed record by hanging 10 pieces of clothing in 51.8 seconds at their home in Idaho. The couple now holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to hang up 10 items of clothing as a team.

“Asking my wife to put away the clothes and then hurry up while doing it may have been one of the riskiest things I’ve ever done. But taking risks is sometimes what it takes to break Guinness World Records,” Rush joked.

“This record was for the fastest time to hang up 10 items of clothing, team of two. But it couldn’t just be any 10 pieces—Guinness has a list.”

To optimize their time, Rush rushed to the closet, only to find that some buttons were difficult to insert and some zippers were hard to close. “The selection process was nearly as brutal as The Bachelorette,” he said. Despite multiple attempts, the couple failed to beat the previous 57.87-second mark until they finally succeeded.

“When it was finally time to make an official attempt, we gathered the crew, mixed up the clothes, and started. On ‘Go,’ we grabbed and folded, clasped and zipped. We hung and flattened. And finally, after 51.8 seconds, the record was ours. We kissed, we collapsed with exhaustion.”

Watch:

The daring stunt, which has gone viral, shows the athletes maintaining perfect balance while walking above the clouds, capturing the attention of extreme sports fans worldwide.

This new record surpasses their previous achievement of 1,900 meters set in Brazil in 2021. According to the International Slackline Association, the feat pushes slacklining to unprecedented extremes. The duo faced numerous challenges, including strong winds and the physical demands of maintaining balance at such high altitudes. Their slackline was tethered between two hot air balloons, providing both breathtaking views and significant risks.

Kuehne and Irmler are both experienced slackliners, known for their record-breaking achievements. “This is the craziest slackline world record Lukas and I have done together so far,” Kuehne said, reflecting on the scale of their accomplishment.

A History of Record-Breaking Feats

The athletes are no strangers to pushing the limits. In 2019, Irmler set the world record for the longest distance walked on a slackline, covering an impressive 2 kilometers. Kuehne, renowned for performing stunts without safety devices, achieved a remarkable feat in 2017 by walking a 110-meter-long slackline at a height of 250 meters.

He also shared his dream of skydiving off the slackline during one of these events, though that idea has not yet come to fruition.

Slacklining is a sport that involves balancing on a flat webbing line suspended between two points. While similar to tightrope walking, slacklining requires exceptional balance, strength, and focus. There are various types of slacklining, including highlining (walking at great heights), waterline (slacklining over bodies of water), tricklining (performing tricks on a slackline), and yoga line (combining yoga and slacklining).

Reflecting on her decision to donate, Ogletree explained, “I have a big heart, but I can’t always donate financially. Giving milk was my way to give back and make an impact.” Since 2010, when she gave birth to her first son, Kyle, she discovered her exceptional milk supply and began donating after a nurse suggested the idea. This ignited her commitment to helping struggling mothers feed their babies through breast milk donation.

Ogletree continued her donations after each of her children’s births: Kyle (now 14), Kage (12), and Kory (7). She even maintained her pumping schedule following her time as a surrogate mother. Pumping every three hours, even during the night, she would freeze the milk until her storage was full and then transport it to the milk bank, where it was carefully measured and recorded.

Starting in North Bonneville, Washington, he journeyed 73.5 km (45.67 miles) to Vancouver, Washington, over 26 hours from October 12 to 13, setting the record for the longest trip in a pumpkin boat, as confirmed by Guinness World Records.

The 46-year-old carved the massive pumpkin, aptly named “Punky Loafster,” into a functional vessel after growing it over the summer. “This record attempt was a challenge I had long considered,” Gary shared, explaining that he waited for the perfect pumpkin for this adventure. Gary has grown giant pumpkins since 2011 and even won the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta four years in a row, having first crafted a boat-sized pumpkin in 2013.

Gary’s pumpkin, pollinated on July 14 and harvested on October 4, measured 429.26 cm (169 in) in circumference and weighed 555.2 kg (1,224 lb), comparable to an adult camel or a grand piano. On October 11, he transformed it into a boat, outfitting it with a camera for the journey.

During his voyage, he encountered 56 km/h (35 mph) winds and waves, forcing him to seek a landing spot. He said, “A safe beach directly across the Columbia from Multnomah Falls was identified for landing the pumpkin.” After pausing to carve out more pumpkin meat to lighten the load with an empty soup can, he continued paddling, hoping to find a suitable camping spot along the river.

This surpasses France’s previous record of 4,028 set in 2014. Organizers aimed for 10,000 participants, emphasizing the haka’s cultural significance as a national treasure.
</excerpt>

New Zealand has regained the world record for the largest mass haka after over 6,500 participants performed the traditional Māori dance at Auckland’s Eden Park rugby stadium. A total of 6,531 men, women, and children took part in the Ka Mate haka, a dance popularized by the All Blacks rugby team, known for performing it before Test matches.

The record-breaking event was confirmed by an adjudicator, surpassing France’s previous record of 4,028 participants set in September 2014 after a rugby match in Brive-la-Gaillarde. While organizers aimed for a turnout of 10,000, they expressed satisfaction in bringing the record back to New Zealand, where the haka holds deep cultural significance.

Michael Mizrahi, director of the Auckland event, emphasized the importance of the haka as a “national treasure.” He stated, “We want to bring the mana [pride] of the haka back home… It’s not just that we want to take it off the French; it’s got enormous meaning for us as New Zealanders. Some things should be culturally sacred.”

Previous attempts to gather large crowds in New Zealand for the haka had been unsuccessful in receiving Guinness World Records recognition, but this time, an official adjudicator was present. The Ka Mate haka was created around 1820 by warrior chief Te Rauparaha to commemorate his escape from a rival tribe. The Ngati Toa tribe, based in Porirua, Wellington, is recognized under New Zealand law as the cultural guardians of the haka.

</excerpt>

At just 16, Eric Kilburn Jr. from Michigan has already set two world records, though he leads a simple life focused on school, sports, and friends. Kilburn Jr. now holds the records for having the largest feet and hands of any teenager globally. His feet measure an impressive 13.5 inches, meaning he wears size 23 shoes in the US (or size 22 in the UK), while an average adult male’s shoe size typically ranges from 8 to 9.

His hands, which also set a record, measure 9.13 inches, significantly larger than the average male hand size of around 7.4 inches. Kilburn Jr., who stands at 6 feet 10 inches, shared with ‘Guinness World Records’ that he first realized his unusual size in kindergarten, when he was noticeably taller and larger than his peers.

As he grew, his hands and feet continued to expand at a remarkable rate, which affected his daily life. By fifth grade, he could no longer find shoes in stores and had to rely on custom-made pairs, costing over $1,500 (Rs. 1.25 lakh) each. His mother began to wonder whether his extraordinary size might qualify him for a world record, thinking it could attract sponsorships from shoe companies to help with the cost. Kilburn Jr. applied for the title at 14, hoping to be included in the ‘Guinness World Records’ book.

Following his rise to fame, several shoe brands, including Puma and Under Armour, offered to create custom shoes and boots for him. Kilburn Jr. expressed his gratitude, saying the most incredible part of his journey was connecting with these companies and the people who supported him during his need for shoes. He mentioned that people are often astonished by the size of his feet and hands, sparking conversations. He advises others, “It’s okay to stand out. Don’t let negativity distract you from your goals.”

Tapala Nadamuni, a 23-year-old Indian student, has reclaimed the title of creating the world’s smallest vacuum cleaner, previously earned in 2020, by designing one from a ballpoint pen. His remarkable achievement has gained significant attention online.

What qualifies as a vacuum cleaner?

According to Guinness World Records (GWR), a vacuum cleaner for record purposes is defined as an “electrically powered device that picks up debris through suction caused by negative internal pressure.” The measurement for the record is based on the shortest axis of the vacuum’s body, excluding the handle and power cord dimensions.

Why attempt the record again?

Nadamuni’s original vacuum cleaner, measuring 1.76 cm, was surpassed by another record-holder. Determined to regain his title, Nadamuni made multiple attempts, including two unsuccessful ones, before achieving success with a new design. He crafted over 50 schematic diagrams to ensure his creation met the necessary standards.

How was the vacuum cleaner made?

Nadamuni initially encountered difficulties with the suction mechanism. However, he resolved these issues by making several design modifications. The new vacuum cleaner was constructed using a refillable ballpoint pen, metal, and small plastic components. It features a tiny rotating fan powered by a four-volt vibration motor to generate suction.

How does it function?

When connected to a power source, the vacuum produces a whirring sound and effectively picks up dust particles. The collected dirt can be removed after use.

</excerpt>

Australia made history by setting a world record for the most runs scored in a T20I powerplay during their commanding 7-wicket victory over Scotland in the first T20I. The match, held at Grange Cricket Club on Wednesday, was a thrilling display of boundary-hitting, captivating fans both at the ground and watching from home.

Australia amassed a staggering 113 runs in the powerplay, surpassing the previous record held by South Africa, who had scored 102 runs in their powerplay against the West Indies in 2023. The Australian openers, Travis Head and debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk, came out with aggressive intent while chasing a target of 155.

Fraser-McGurk’s debut did not go as planned, as he was dismissed for a duck by Brandon McMullen. However, Head took control, relentlessly hitting boundaries and making it difficult for Scotland’s fielders. Head’s innings was particularly explosive, scoring 20 runs off McMullen and then punishing Jack Jarvis by hitting three sixes and collecting 30 runs in the fifth over. Head’s remarkable performance included 80 runs off just 25 balls, featuring five sixes and 12 boundaries, before he was finally dismissed.

Josh Inglis provided the finishing touches with an unbeaten 27 off 13 balls, securing the win with more than ten overs to spare. Earlier, Scotland, after being put in to bat by Australia, scored 154/9 thanks to a collective batting effort.

</excerpt>

Armand Duplantis has once again broken the world pole vault record at the Silesia Diamond League. On Sunday, he cleared 6.26 meters on his second try, surpassing his previous record of 6.25 meters set after winning gold at the Paris Olympics 2024. This is the 10th time he has broken the world record in his career. In the competition in Poland, he also cleared 6.26 meters to win, while his competitors cleared 6.00 meters.

After his impressive performance, Duplantis told Reuters, “This year I focused on the Olympics, the record just came naturally because I was in good shape. So I am not surprised with the record today, but I am thankful.” He also said, “It almost feels weird and unnatural to get so much love and support from the crowds when I compete. I see that especially in Poland. The energy in this stadium just keeps getting better every year. My first world record also came in Poland, indoors in Torun (in 2020), so I have great memories from here.”

In the Silesia competition, Sam Kendricks from the USA, who won silver at the Paris Olympics, jumped 6.00 meters but couldn’t clear 6.08 meters and finished in second place. Emmanouil Karalis from Greece, who won bronze at the Paris Olympics, came in third.

Duplantis was born in 1999 in Louisiana to an American pole vaulter father and a Swedish long jumper mother. He represents Sweden and won the U-18 title in 2015 when he was just 15. He has continued to excel in his career since then.

Here is the timeline of Duplantis’ 10 world records:

2020 – 6.17m – Torun, Poland

2020 – 6.18m – Glasgow, United Kingdom

2022 – 6.19m – Belgrade, Serbia

2022 – 6.20m – Belgrade, Serbia

2022 – 6.21m – Eugene, USA

2023 – 6.22m – Clermont-Ferrand, France

2023 – 6.23m – Eugene, USA

2024 – 6.24m – Xiamen, China

2024 – 6.25m – Saint-Denis, France

2024 – 6.26m – Chorzow, Poland

Highlights from Paris Olympics 2024

At the Paris Olympics, held at Stade de France, Duplantis thrilled the crowd by clearing 6.25 meters. After setting the record, he ran to his girlfriend in the stands. He remarked, “It’s hard to understand, honestly.” He also said, “If I don’t beat this moment in my career, then I’m pretty OK with that. I don’t think you can get much better than what just happened.”

Following the Olympics, Duplantis took a vacation in Greece. He praised the Paris crowd, saying, “I tried to clear my thoughts as much as I could. The crowd was going crazy. It was so loud in there, it sounded like an American football game. I have a little bit of experience being in a 100,000-capacity stadium, but I was never the centre of attention. [I was] just trying to channel the energy everybody was giving me, and they were giving me a lot of it. It worked out.”

History

The Gatsby is a traditional South African takeaway meal, which is made by “slap chips” (soft french fries) and meat in a large bread roll. It originated in Cape Town in the mid-1970s and was designed to feed multiple people. The name reportedly came from the movie “The Great Gatsby” being popular at the time.

Following the success of their giant burger, Redelinghuys declared, “So, I said next Saturday I’m going to make the biggest Gatsby in South Africa.”

The sub story !

This massive sub, weighing 65.27 kilograms (145 pounds), featured 10 layers of fillings and cost around $160 in ingredients. Joe Redelinghuys, who runs the bar with his wife, Annie, conceived the idea during a lively night at the bar. The ingredients included 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds) of tomatoes, 20 kilograms (44 pounds) of assorted meats, three layers of french fries totaling 10 kilograms (22 pounds), calamari, and a generous topping of onion rings. The sauces varied by layer, featuring garlic, cheese, pepper, mushroom, and tartare options.The sauces ranged from garlic to cheese, pepper, mushroom and tartare, depending on which layer.

Challenges

The main challenge was sourcing a suitable bread roll for the massive sandwich, eventually requiring the custom baking and joining of three 1-meter (3 feet) long rolls.

In conclusion, Annies Ladies Bar continues to push culinary boundaries with their larger-than-life creations, showcasing their creativity and dedication to serving memorable dining experiences. The 3-meter-long Gatsby sandwich stands as a testament to their innovation, blending traditional South African flavors with a modern twist. As they look forward to future endeavors,
