Viral Video Claims Snake in Delhi Metro Ladies’ Coach | WATCH

June 21, 2025, 5:27 pm

A viral video of chaos within a Delhi Metro women’s coach had social media fully convinced that a snake had slithered onto the train. The clip depicted women shrieking, getting on top of seats, and clinging to each other in terror leaving people worried about safety on the Delhi Metro.

As rumors and panic were building up, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) released a clarification. On X, the DMRC posted that no snake was spotted during the inspection just a baby lizard.

“A viral video is going around about a snake seen in a ladies coach. The train was evacuated at the Akshardham Metro station and taken to the depot for detailed examination. Though there was a painstaking scrutiny of the train footage and the coach at the depot by the concerned team, no snake was seen,” the statement said.

The DMRC assured travellers regarding safety procedures, saying, “DMRC values the safety and security of passengers, and prompt action was taken to resolve the issue. We request passengers to be cautious and report any such instances to our personnel for prompt action.”

What the Viral Clip Revealed

The viral clip, which circulated extensively on social media, depicted panic within the coach, with passengers shaken up. Women could be heard screaming and rushing for cover, thinking that there was a snake among them.

Internet users responded angrily to the video, with some being sarcastic in their response, saying, “Delhi metro, no longer a metro, now a circus,” and others wondering how it was possible that no one noticed this occurring.

Passenger Alleges Rumour Was Cause of Panic

A user on social media, who had alleged that he was on board during the panic, posted his account of events, “I had this wild experience yesterday. Someone went around spreading a rumor that a lizard is a snake,” they informed, implying panic escalated due to a misinterpretation.

Though the episode ended without damage, the incident reminded how fast misinformation spreads and the need to remain vigilant and fact-check.

UP Man Hospitalised After Kissing Venomous Snake | WATCH

June 16, 2025, 1:23 pm

Snakes, universally dreaded as being among the most deadly creatures on earth, comprise more than 3,000 species, though few of them are poisonous. Even among the non-poisonous varieties, thoughtless handling can be perilous, as has been evidenced by a recent incident in Uttar Pradesh.

In a shocking case from Amroha district, a man named Jitendra Kumar, who is a marginal farmer, is currently in a critical condition after he tried to kiss a snake while filming a stunt for a video. The video, which gained popularity immediately, was posted by journalist Priya Singh on X (then Twitter), garnering attention and shock online.

In the clip, the snake is wrapped around Kumar’s neck as he performs in front of a small audience with a confident demeanor. He gently leans forward, extending his tongue in a kissing gesture towards the reptile. In a quick response, the reptile nips and bites him.

Watch:

घटना यूपी अमरोहा की है. pic.twitter.com/15ZMYyz3c9

— Priya singh (@priyarajputlive) June 14, 2025

What really stunned most of the viewers even further was Kumar’s nonchalant behavior after the bite—he went on smiling and even puffed on a cigarette. The caption to the trending video states: “He is engaged in a battle between death and life in the ICU. He would do such tricks frequently in his village. But this time kissing the snake cost him dearly.”

Farmer Under Critical Condition

As per The Times of India, Kumar was drunk when the incident occurred. He soon deteriorated after being bitten, and an emergency was transferred to a private hospital in Moradabad, where he is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.

Village elder Jaikirat Singh confirmed the chain of events. “A snake was seen on a wall during Friday evening, and there was commotion among the people. Jitendra rushed to the spot and caught the reptile and immediately wrapped it around his neck. He began to play with it and brought it close to his mouth. When his grip relaxed, the snake bit him on the tongue,” Singh said to reporters.

Similar Instance

It is not the first time that such dangerous acts have hit the headlines. In a similar incident, a man from Tamil Nadu’s Dharmapuri was spotted in a viral video attempting to pour alcohol into the mouth of a snake wrapped around his neck. The authorities stepped in later, and the man was arrested on charges of reckless behavior.

These tragedies remain constant reminders that wild creatures are not to be employed for entertainment purposes, particularly not for social media stardom.

Customer Finds Frozen Snake in Ice Cream Bar

March 8, 2025, 5:04 pm

Food violation cases are becoming more common, with reports of dead insects or even live animals found in food. One recent shocking report was that of a Thai man who alleged to have discovered a frozen snake whole inside an ice cream bar he bought from a street vendor. The popular post, which was posted by Mr. Naklengboon on Facebook, presented a black and yellow head of a snake within the ice cream, and he wrote in Thai, “Such big eyes! Is it dead yet? Black bean, street vendor, real picture because I bought it myself.”

Take a look at the Facebook post:

The black bean ice cream, a favorite dessert in Thailand, has attracted a lot of attention following the post going viral. Some of the users speculated that the creature could be a golden tree snake (Chrysopelea ornata), which is common in the area. The head of the snake, which seemed to be around 20-40 cm long, is thought to be a youngling since the adult form of the species can grow up to 70-130 cm.

The post generated widespread online reactions, with a majority expressing horror and disbelief. One commenter said, “This is why I never purchase food from street vendors. This is abhorrent.” Another quipped, “Well, you’re getting some extra protein with the ice cream.” A third commenter quipped, “The first bite hooks you, the second lands you in a hospital bed,” and another chimed in with, “Deadly dessert.”

Snake ‘Plays Dead’ in Adorable Viral Video | WATCH

January 26, 2025, 5:49 pm

If Hollywood ever needs a ‘scaly actor’, this snake might just be the perfect fit—or so social media users believe after a dramatic video of the reptile went viral. The clip shows a pet snake lounging on the floor, only to play ‘dead’ when its human companion approaches and touches it. Yes, you read that right—picture it if you must!

The video, posted by the Instagram account ‘Pubity,’ quickly became viral, getting over a million likes in just two days. The caption for the video is as follows: “My snake learned how to play dead and now he does it every time I get close to him.”

A post shared by Pubity (@pubity)

Although some were totally charmed by the drama presented by the snake, some criticized it saying the snake could actually be dramatic, for no obvious reason at all. According to other speculators, it’s doing that due to fear.

Here’s a quote from a commenter: “Cute? Survival tactic. Only when they’re really, really stressed and scared.” Another said, “I was just reading something about creatures that practice deception as a survival technique. The book mentioned snake varieties that represent themselves as being dead when they feel threatened, as it’s a form of saving themselves. It’s not a learned ‘trick’ because it’s cute—it’s an innate response to their fear.”

However, not everyone was freaked out. “That is so freaking adorable,” said the third one.

It is not rare to find videos of animals acting in this manner on social media. Studies have shown that “playing dead” is a common instinctive response to danger, and it is used by many species as a survival mechanism. This viral snake video is just another example of how animals instinctively react to stress or threats in their environment.

Disney Star Andre Rerekura Saves The Day, Safely Removes Snake From Plane

November 24, 2024, 8:20 pm

An Australian Disney star recently attracted attention for an unprecedented mid-flight incident involving a snake. According to The Independent, Andre Rerekura, known for his Disney roles, removed a snake discovered on a Virgin Airlines flight from Broome to Perth on November 21.

Before takeoff, a passenger alerted the crew to the presence of a snake, and initial panic erupted. “They pretty much shut the whole plane down and everyone was going to get disembarked. it was a little bit of a weird story,” Rerekura said to ABC News.

The situation escalates when a passenger screams after spotting a snake, and it finally slithers near Rerekura’s foot. Cool-headed, he recognized it as a nonvenomous Stimson’s python. “I knew it was safe, [and] I knew it was just scared and super shy,” he said, detailing how he safely removed the reptile from the plane.

His prompt action did not go amiss with the passengers who praised him, showering him with a free soda courtesy of the crew. “I guess everyone was relieved that they didn’t have to get off the plane,” Rerekura added.

The delay due to this incidence was as short as 20 minutes, and then the flight reached Perth peacefully. Broome International Airport chief executive Craig Shaw has said that how the snake has entered into the aircraft remains a mystery, which can be further probed by the airline.

Stimson’s pythons are native to northern Australia and non-venomous snakes, active during warmer months. That is why this incident comes across as odd but harmless.

Not the First Wild Encounter in Noida

This isn’t the first time wild animals have found their way into urban areas around Noida. Recently, a python was spotted in a nearby village in Greater Noida, constricting a nilgai (a type of antelope). The forest department was able to rescue and safely relocate the python back into the wild.

Altercation at Noida Hospital: Two Arrested for Assaulting Guards

In a separate incident, two men were arrested in Sector 126, Noida, for assaulting security personnel at a hospital. The accused, identified as Akshay Sehgal and Vaibhav Sehgal, were caught on CCTV footage attacking a male security guard after being denied entry to a patient’s floor due to not having the required hospital card.

Heated Confrontation Caught on Camera

The altercation occurred when the men, who were using a lift, were stopped by the security guard from entering the floor without the proper documentation. Enraged, the duo stepped out of the lift and began beating the guard. When a female security guard attempted to intervene, she was forcefully pushed to the ground. The situation de-escalated only after bystanders stepped in to stop the fight.

Police Action and Arrest

The Noida police promptly arrested the two men following the incident. They are currently facing charges of assault and public misconduct. The hospital authorities have since assured patients and visitors that security measures will be strengthened to prevent such incidents in the future.

These incidents highlight the challenges of both urban wildlife encroachment and maintaining public safety in Noida.

The video has sparked significant backlash from viewers. Critics argue that using animals in this way constitutes “animal abuse” and criticize the trend as dangerous.

One Instagram user commented, “Stop calling everything Yoga. This is not Yoga. Stop spoiling yoga’s name.” Another said, “Stop treating animals like commodities or accessories. This is not authentic yoga. This is cultural appropriation.”

Others expressed concern about the ethical implications: “This is animal abuse and absolutely disturbing,” and “The animal abuse for clout is actually disgusting.” Some suggested that if the trend resembled a cat cafe, where animals are adopted and yoga is kept separate, it might be more acceptable.

Child Mistakes Snake for Toy

The incident occurred while the child was playing on the terrace of his home. According to his mother, the toddler spotted the snake and, thinking it was a toy, picked it up and bit it. The snake, which was later confirmed to be non-venomous, died from the bite. Alarmed by the sight of the dead snake near the child, the family immediately rushed him to the local community health center.

Medical Evaluation Confirms Child’s Safety

A video that has since gone viral shows the little boy being carried by a woman, while a man gently tries to open the child’s mouth to inspect for any injuries. In the video, the man holds up a phone displaying an image of the dead snake, with part of its body appearing crushed from the bite.

Upon evaluation, the health center staff reassured the family that the child was physically fine, attributing his safety to the fact that the snake was non-venomous. The snake, commonly seen during the monsoon season, posed no significant threat to the boy.

A Previous Incident of Snake Bite Retaliation in Bihar

This incident follows another unusual event in Bihar just over a month ago. In July, a man in Rajauli, Bihar, bit a snake back after it bit him, believing that this would neutralize the venom. The man, a railway employee named Santosh Lohar, was working on laying railway tracks in a forested area when the snake bit him as he was settling down to sleep. Acting on a local myth, Lohar bit the snake twice in retaliation. While the snake died, Lohar survived after receiving prompt medical treatment.

These incidents highlight the often surprising and unexpected encounters between humans and wildlife in rural India, where traditional beliefs sometimes guide actions in life-threatening situations.

Weekly Date: UP Man Gets Bitten By Snake Every Saturday

July 13, 2024, 1:14 pm

A 24-year-old man named Vikas Dubey from Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly suffered a snake bite for the seventh time in 40 days. Concerning the incident, Chief Medical Officer Rajiv Nayan Giri stated that the victim has sought financial assistance from authorities.

“The victim approached the Collectorate and expressed his distress, mentioning he has spent considerable funds on treating snake bites and now seeks financial aid from the authorities. I advised him to visit a government hospital where he can receive anti-snake venom treatment free of cost,” Mr. Giri told news agency ANI on Friday.

He further remarked on the unusual nature of the situation where a person gets bitten by a snake every Saturday.

“We need to ascertain whether it is indeed a snake bite. We also need to assess the competence of the treating doctor. It is peculiar that the individual is bitten every Saturday, admitted to the same hospital each time, and reportedly recovers within a day,” he remarked.

The Chief Medical Officer added that a team of three doctors has been formed to investigate the matter.

“We have formed a team to investigate the case thoroughly, and once we have the findings, we will inform the public of the facts,” he stated.

Officials noted that each time Vikas Dubey was bitten by a snake, he was promptly taken to the hospital and recovered after receiving treatment.

Bihar Man Bites Snake That Bit Him, Believing It Would Reverse Venom’s Effect

July 5, 2024, 5:21 pm

An unusual incident took place in Bihar where a man bit a snake that had bitten him, believing it would reverse the venom’s effect. The snake died, while the man was taken to a hospital and survived after receiving proper medical treatment, as reported by the Times of India.

Here’s what happened:

Railway employee Santosh Lohar was part of a team laying railway tracks in a densely forested area of Rajauli in Bihar. On Tuesday night, after a full day’s work, the 35-year-old was settling down to sleep when he was bitten by a snake.

Reacting quickly, Lohar seized the snake and bit it back twice, following the local myth that biting a snake back would save the victim. In some parts of the country, it is a common belief that when a snake bite victim bites the reptile back, the venom transfers back to the snake.

Fortunately, Lohar was surrounded by colleagues who immediately rushed him to Rajauli subdivision hospital. The Times of India reported that the 35-year-old was treated by Dr. Satish Chandra Sinha. He was kept overnight in the hospital and discharged the following day.

Dr. Sinha said he responded well to treatment. It remains unclear what kind of snake bit the railway employee.

In India, around 50,000 people die each year due to snakebites. Approximately 90% of the estimated 3-4 million snakebites annually are caused by the “big four” group of snakes – the common krait, Indian cobra, Russell’s viper, and saw-scaled viper.

Meanwhile, in Indonesia, a 30-year-old woman was swallowed whole by a python earlier this month. When her husband went looking for her, he found her feet sticking out of the 30-foot serpent’s mouth. He attacked and killed the snake, but unfortunately, it was too late to save the woman.

Snake, Presumed Male For Years, Gives Birth To 14 Snakelets

June 29, 2024, 12:03 am

Ronaldo, a 13-year-old boa constrictor at City of Portsmouth College, has astounded caretakers by giving birth to 14 snakelets despite never having contact with a male snake. Initially believed to be male, Ronaldo’s unexpected parthenogenesis—the process of virgin birth—has only been documented three times before in Brazilian rainbow boa constrictors. Pete Quinlan, the college’s animal care technician who rescued Ronaldo nine years ago, shared the surprising news. He recalled being alerted by students to the presence of baby snakes in Ronaldo’s tank on the day of their birth, underscoring the rare and remarkable event in snake biology.

What is Parthenogenesis?

Parthenogenesis is a biological phenomenon where an organism develops from an unfertilized egg, typically resulting in the production of female gametes and occasionally male ones. This reproductive strategy is widespread among lower plants and invertebrates, including species like rotifers, aphids, ants, wasps, and bees. In higher vertebrates, however, parthenogenesis is a rare occurrence. This process allows certain species to reproduce without the need for fertilization, presenting a fascinating area of study in biological sciences.

Snake found in Bengal Primary School’s midday meal.

January 12, 2023, 12:28 pm

Children in a Birbhum school experienced the horror and health implication of consuming lentils from a pan that also cooked a small snake. Several students of Mandalpur Primary school in Dheka area were hospitalized on Monday afternoon after consuming their midday meal provided by the government. The officials said that around 20 of the total 53 students present in the school at the time ate the mid-day meal. They were immediately taken to Rampurhat Medical college Hospital.

A school staff who cooked claimed that a snake was found in one of the containers that had lentils. “After they saw the snake, everyone was asked to stop eating,” said headmaster Nimai Chandra Dey. The Primary Education Board Chairman Praloy Naik went to review the health of the students at the Rampurhat Mediacal College Hospital. He said, “there has been negligence and the cooks who are serving and cooking food should be more aware and alert.”

S Jaishankar slams Pakistan; recalls Hillary Clinton’s ‘snake’ analogy

Hitting out on Pakistan Union Foreign Minister S Jaishankar recalled Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Pakistan 2011 visit when she drew a “snake” analogy to control terrorism.

Responding to a question on Pakistan minister Hina Rabbani Khar Jaishankar said, “I read the reports on what Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said. And I was reminded, more than a decade ago, my memory serves me right. Hillary Clinton was visiting Pakistan. And Hina Rabbani Khar was a minister at that time. Standing next to her, Hillary Clinton actually said that if you have snakes in your backyard, you can’t expect them to bite only your neighbors. Eventually, they will bite the people who keep them in the backyard. But as you know, Pakistan is not great at taking good advice. You see what’s happening there.”

Jaishankar further stated, “In terms of what they are saying, the truth is everybody, the world today, sees Pakistan as the epicenter of terrorism. I know we’ve been through two and a half years of Covid and a lot of us have brain fog as a result. But I assure you the world has not forgotten where does terrorism (emanate from), which has its fingerprints over a lot of activities in the region and beyond the region. So, I would say that it’s something they should remind themselves before indulging in the kind of fantasies which they do.”

Firing a fresh salvo on terrorism Jaishankar said the world is not “stupid” and has been increasingly calling out countries, organizations, and people indulging in terrorism.

“You know, you’re asking the wrong minister when you say how long will we do this? Because it is the ministers of Pakistan who will tell you how long Pakistan intends to practice terrorism,” Jaishankar said.

However, Jaishankar also asked Pakistan to “clean up your act and try being a good neighbor and contribute to what the rest of the world is doing today, which is economic growth, development, and progress”.
