Karan Johar Discusses Shabana Azmi-Dharmendra’s Track In RARKPK

In a recent revelation, filmmaker Karan Johar delved into the love story between Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. In a recent interview with Prabal Gurung, KJo opened up on the sequence between Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The filmmaker revealed a story about his married family member and recalling his past love.

Talking about the family member, he said, “He just said this name and it was a scandal. And then the truth came out that he was actually having an affair. And there was drama happening in and around this situation. And my father had to fly down. My mother had to fly down. And I remember instead of feeling terrible about what was happening between these three people at an average age of 82, I was like, ‘wow, like this is great.”

Karan Johar Shares Deleted Scene From ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’

Ace filmmaker Karan Johar’s recently released romantic comedy film ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ received good response from the audience.

The film starred Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles.

On Thursday, Karan took to his Instagram account and dropped a deleted scene from the film.

He captioned the post, “as love hai toh sab hai..#RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani.”

In the deleted scene, Rocky (Ranveer Singh) sneaks into his home to meet Rani (Alia Bhatt) and apologizes to her. At the end Rocky says, “ Bas love Hai to sab hai..Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani hai yaar it’s not dandruff… ki ek jahtke mein saaf ho jaaye.”

The film has minted Rs 300 crore worldwide.

Soon after Karan shared the post, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons.

The film marks second collaboration of Ranveer and Alia after ‘Gully Boy’.

In India the film has minted Rs 140 crore.

Meanwhile, Ranveer will be next seen in director Farhan Akhtar’s next directorial film ‘Don 3’ which will hit the theatres in 2025.

Rocky and Rani Kii Prem Kahani box office collection reaches ₹7 crore

Rocky and Rani Kii Prem Kahani saw a little increase in its box office collection on day eight of its release. The film earned roughly ₹7 crore on 4 August. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and is helmed by filmmaker Karan Johar.

As per early evaluation, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani earned ₹6.90 crore net in India on its eighth day. On day one of its release in India, the film reached ₹11.1 crores, ₹16.05 crore on day two, ₹18.75 crore on day three, ₹7.02 crore on day four and ₹7.3 crore on day five. On days six and seven, the film reached estimates of ₹6.9 crore and ₹6.21 crore, respectively. Until now, the total box office collection of the film stands at ₹80.23 crore.

The film also stars Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra among other supporting actors. Recently, director Karan Johar and the entire star cast talked about the film and shared the shooting experience at the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani success bash.

Alia talked about similarities and dissimilarities between her real wedding and film wedding saying, “Kudmayi song was shot just four days after my marriage. But both were different as my home wedding was very simple, I was wearing a light sari and everything was so simple. I was roaming around very freely. However, in the reel wedding, I was wearing a heavy lehenga along with a heavy dupatta so I am very grateful that my real wedding was so simple as I cannot do those things twice.”

On Tuesday night, B-towners gathered together for the special screening of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ in Mumbai. Karisma Kapoor, who attended the screening, shared a priceless image with her “heartline” Ranveer Singh and “bloodline” Ranbir Kapoor.

While Karisma held her cousin Ranbir, Ranveer wrapped his arm around her. All of them smiled for the camera.

During her recent promotion of the upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in Kolkata, the gorgeous Alia Bhatt shared how the entire team including co-star Ranveer Singh, took special care of her during the shoot. In the same conversation with the media, the actress admitted that shooting the song without warm clothes was challenging.

Alia revealed, “In those conditions, I had to wear chiffon sarees, but what many people don’t realise is that the team takes great care of the actor on the set. You don’t see the heaters around, the leg warmers I had on, and how Ranveer, who was wearing jackets, would keep putting them on me in-between takes to provide some respite. But I must praise myself a bit, I am a trooper in that sense. I go with the flow and I am always focused on getting the job done. Wearing a puffer jacket over that chiffon saree would have taken away the beauty, so I was happy doing it as I got to live my dream.”

For those unaware, after the release of the song Tum Kiya Mile, filmmaker Karan Johar publicy apologised to the actress for making her endure the harsh cold weather. He took to his official Instagram handle and wrote, “This is also the first shoot Alia did after the birth of her angel, and I remain in apology for freezing her in Manish Malhotra chiffons… in sympathy, I fell drastically ill through the shoot (a karmic punishment perhaps). The makers of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’ have dropped the teaser of the new song ‘ Tum kya mile’, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.

Ranveer shared the song’s teaser and wrote on his Instagram handle, ” A song that will fill up your heart! #TumKyaMile song – OUT TOMORROW!”

Arijit Singh sings the song, which was written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and composed by Pritam.

Alia also shared the teaser on her Instagram stories.

Recently, Karan unveiled the first official teaser of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’. Veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi are also a part of the film. The one-minute teaser does not disclose much about the film. Set to the melodious tune of ‘Tum Kya Mile,’ the clip captures the essence of Rocky and Rani’s love story. Interestingly, the film also brings back the famous chiffon sarees and actors dancing amidst snow-clad mountains.

‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ promises to be a wholesome, big-screen entertainer, blending Johar’s storytelling finesse with an impressive ensemble cast, grandeur, and music. There were also many scenes of the two romancing and fighting, celebrating various festivals with their families, and possibly a wedding.
