Aamir Khan Teams Up with Lokesh Kanagaraj for Superhero Film, Confirms Phalke Biopic with Rajkumar Hirani

Bollywood icon Aamir Khan has confirmed his collaboration with Tamil cinema’s hit director Lokesh Kanagaraj for an upcoming superhero movie. The film is expected to be a large-scale action spectacle and will begin shooting in the second half of 2025.

Recently, Aamir said, “Lokesh and I are working on a film, it is a superhero film. It is a big-scale action film and it will start next year, second half.”
Kanagaraj is known for directing high-octane blockbusters such as Vikram, Leo, Kaithi, and Master. The collaboration has already sparked huge excitement among fans of both industries.

Aamir On His Future Projects

Aamir, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, releasing June 20, also addressed other rumours. He dismissed reports about a sequel to his 2014 hit PK, saying, “‘PK 2’ is a rumour. I’m doing Dadasaheb Phalke biopic, Raju and I are working on it.” He will be reuniting with Rajkumar Hirani, the director of PK, for the biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke, considered the father of Indian cinema.

He also shared his long-standing dream project: a screen adaptation of the Mahabharata. However, Aamir admitted the project is still in early development. “‘Mahabharata’ has been my dream for the last 25 years… When you are making ‘Mahabharata’, you are not making a film, you’re surrendering… I’m trying, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to fulfil my dream,” he said.

When asked which of his past films could have a sequel, Aamir mentioned 3 Idiots, Dil Chahta Hai, and Sarfarosh. He said, “In Dil Chahta Hai, we can explore the mid-life crisis of the three boys. They could all be seeking therapy. That would be interesting.”
Even though Aamir’s upcoming project Sitaare Zameen Par is facing backlash online, fans are excited to see what he brings for them in the future.

Dunki is very special to me, says SRK

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ has had a massive influence on the audience, and there is good news for King Khan fans: the film is now available on OTT.
The film, one of the highest-grossing films of 2023, is now available on Netflix.

Calling it one of his most “special” films, SRK said, “‘Dunki’ is a special film and one that is very close to my heart. We are grateful that we can share this beautiful story with audiences around the world via Netflix. The film is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I hope this extraordinary journey of a group of friends wins hearts globally.”

The film covers the ‘Donkey Flight,’ a dangerous and unlawful method used by people to enter countries such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

Talking about the entire idea behind the movie and the kind of research he did for it, the director shared, “When we did the research we found that about 7 per cent of people in the country have a passport. Many people dream of going abroad but very few get the visa. It is very difficult. We want unique stories for making a film and I found it good.”

Dunki box office collection day 3: Shah Rukh Khan’s comedy drama sees significant Saturday jump, will enter Rs 100 cr club today

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Dunki, superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s first film with director Rajkumar Hirani, made an estimated Rs 26 cr on Saturday, marking a much-needed increase on its third day of release. It was vital for the social comedy drama that Dunki’s Saturday collections saw a thirty percent increase from its Friday, or second day, figures. For the movie to keep a steady pace at the box office, it needed to at least match its opening day total of Rs 29 cr, if not surpass it.

The movie will reach the Rs 100 cr club India nett on Sunday after earning Rs 75.32 cr in three days. Dunki is probably going to be close to the Rs 150 cr mark globally. However, trade estimates indicate that the film is no longer expected to gross big sums of Rs 350 cr or more at the box office, given that daily collections are still below Rs 30 cr. Shah Rukh Khan wraps Saudi Arabia schedule of ‘Dunki’

King Khan Shah Rukh Khan has finished the Saudi Arabia scheduled shooting of his upcoming movie ‘Dunki’.

Taking to Instagram SRK dropped a video announcing the schedule wrap on Wednesday.

“There’s nothing more satisfying than completing a shooting schedule as is with Dunki here in Saudi,” SRK wrote.

Meanwhile, SRK expressed his gratitude towards the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture in the clip and also thanked the film’s team.

Moreover, SRK also thanked director Rajkumar Hirani and the entire cast and crew members who are involved in making it a successful project.

“So I want to thank Raju sir and the rest of the cast for making it look so lovely. Shah Rukh Khan stopped by customs officials; pays Rs 6.83 lakh penalty

Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan landed into trouble with the airport authorities when he was returning from the United Arab Emirates to Mumbai on Saturday.

According to the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) sources, at the Mumbai airport actor, Shah Rukh Khan was stopped as Khan was carrying expensive watches worth Rs 18 lakh.

Meanwhile, as a penalty actor was made to pay Rs 6.83 lakh for custom duty. The ‘Pathaan’ actor was traveling in a private chartered plane as he made his quick appearance at an event in Sharjah.

Talking about his upcoming movies SRK talked at an event in Sharjah about being nervous before his movie release and said, “I don’t think I need to be nervous, they are all going to be super-hit films.”

Moreover, the statement sound ‘arrogant’ but the actor explained, “That’s the belief I sleep with, I wake up with and that’s the belief that makes the 57-year-old me do stunts, and work 18 hours a day. If I did not have that belief that I am making a product that lots of people are going to like then I won’t be able to do it. So. it’s not an arrogant statement, this is what I like to believe. It’s a child-like belief that ‘look, I have prepared my best, I have done my best I am going to pass with flying colors.”

However, King Khan will return to the big screen with three movies in 2023 they are Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’, Atlee’s ‘Jawan’, and Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’.
