During his two day-visit to Kuwait, Bahrain, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday visited the Gulf Spic Labour Camp, where he interacted with Indian workers and highlighted their contribution to the country’s development.

He explained to the workers that their aspirations are linked to his vision for a “Viksit Bharat 2047” (Developed India 2047).

“The labour brothers of my country who have come so far to work also think about how an international airport can be made in his village. This aspiration is the strength of my country.” said PM interacting with the Indian workers talking about Viksit Bharat 2047.

He told the workers that their hard work and hard work of Indian farmers is what he thinks about the whole day.

He expressed that seeing their dedication motivates him to work harder, adding, When I see all these people working hard, I feel that if they work for 10 hours, then I should also work for 11 hours if they work for 11 hours, then I should also work for 12 hours.”

PM Modi also shared his personal motivation, saying, “Do you work hard for your family or not? I also work for my family, there are 140 crore people in my family, so I have to work a little more.”

Further, PM Modi also noted that India now has the cheapest data rates globally, making communication easier for people everywhere.

PM Modi stated, “India has the cheapest data (internet) and if we want to talk online anywhere in the world or even in India, then the cost is much less. Even if you do video conferences, the cost is very low. People have a great convenience, they can speak to their family members every evening through video conference.”

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi began a two-day visit to Kuwait at the invitation of Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait.
This will be the first visit of the Prime Minister any Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait after 43 years.
PM Modi will attend the opening ceremony of the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup as a special guest of the Emir of Kuwait. He will also interact with the Indian diaspora at the ‘Hala Modi’ community event at Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Sports Complex.
PM Modi said that his visit will deepen India’s historical linkages with Kuwait and expressed eagerness to meet the Crown Prince of Kuwait.
“Today and tomorrow, I will be visiting Kuwait. This visit will deepen India’s historical linkages with Kuwait. I look forward to meeting His Highness the Amir, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of Kuwait. This evening, I will be interacting with the Indian community and will also attend the inauguration ceremony of the Arabian Gulf Cup,” PM Modi wrote on X.

Addressing the Special Briefing on the Prime Minister’s visit to Kuwait, Ministry of External Affairs Secretary (CPV and OIA), Arun Kumar Chatterjee gave a brief context on PM Modi’s visit and highlighted the strong relationship between both nations, stating “excellent political relations between the two countries.”
“This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years and therefore assumes considerable significance,” he said.”
PM Modi will be accorded a ceremonial guard of honor at the Bayan Palace (Kuwait Emir’s main palace), following which he will be holding separate meetings with the Emir of Kuwait and the crown prince of Kuwait Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah. There will be delegation-level talks with the prime minister of Kuwait thereafter,” he added.
During bilateral discussions, PM Modi will review with the leadership of Kuwait, the entire spectrum of our bilateral relations, including an area such as the political, trade, investment, energy, culture, and people-to-people ties, and the steps that both sides need to take to further enhance them. The Crown Prince will be hosting a banquet in honor of the honourable prime minister.

Chairman Media and Publicity Department All India Congress Committee Pawan Khera expressed a contrasting critique on the the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections as he said that although Congress has accepted the mandate but the prime minister Narendra Modi has not been able to accept the mandate.

He said, “We have won even after losing and the BJP have lost even after winning. The country’s political face (the one who can lead the country) has changed altogether, now the face has become Rahul Gandhi, this has to be accepted and If Modi accepts it then only can he spend couple of years or some months in the government.”
When asked that the acongress’ marketing has been good which has obstructed the BJP’s absolute win, yet the mandate has been good enough for the ruling party to run the country, Khera responded, “When the BJP had 2 seats in 1980’s in the parliament, did they directly achieve the 200 seats in the subsequent elections? No they slowly went on to win more and more seats in the following elections, now you think, we can go from 50 to 400, that can only happen in Modi’s imaginations. We have worked hard, we have started to work harder, we have walked thousands of miles, let us not put Modi ji there but can Amit Shah do it, can he walk even a few miles?”

Asked why the Prime Minister Modi is being obstructed in the parliament, Khera responded by saying that since 10 years he has been speaking and all of us have been listening, but now there is a kind of monotony in his speeches, he is saying all the same again and again. Khera added, “He is saying Nehru did this, Nehru did not do this. Even if you ask BJP’s own people they are also tired of hearing these speeches, even Sangh parivar is tired of listening to these things. And by doing this we are helping Sangh parivar. From Rajya Sabha To State President: PM Modi Elevates Rathore

Madan Rathore, who was preparing to leave the party after being angry at not getting an assembly ticket, got everything in the last seven months, which he probably did not even expect. First Rajya Sabha ticket and now the command of the state. Actually, Rathore’s ticket from Sumerpur was cut in the 2023 assembly elections, even though he was an MLA for two times. Angered by this, he had prepared to contest as an independent. At the same time, Rathore received a call from Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. After talking to Modi, Rathore again started working for the party with full intensity. After this, he again got Rajya Sabha in February. By making Madan Rathore the state president, the party has also mastered social engineering while trying to give a message to its OBC voters. Rathore is considered close to Prime Minister Modi. When the BJP government was formed in Rajasthan after the assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interest in Rajasthan had diminished. The pair of CM Bhajan Lal and CP Joshi flopped badly. Now Prime Minister Modi has given the responsibility of party’s ‘captain’ to Madan Rathore, who has RSS background and is experienced. It is being understood that this will give strength to the party. Rathore has experience of organization, along with that he has good relations with all the factions.
The first challenge before Rathore is to keep the party united. The effect of changing Arun Singh, who was the party in-charge till now, will also be seen. Arun Singh himself had become the party in Rajasthan. After Radha Mohan Das Agarwal was made the in-charge, it is expected that all the factions will now be heard. Factionalism in Rajasthan is not hidden from anyone. Former CM Vasundhara Raje is angry because of her son. Despite being the most senior, Raje’s son Dushyant Singh did not get a place in Modi 3.0. Raje is still considered very strong. A large number of MLAs are with her. As far as former state president Satish Poonia is concerned, he is looking after the responsibility of Haryana as the in-charge in the organization. Raje and Poonia are said to be in good tuning with both Rathore and Agarwal. It is expected that the duo of Rathore and Agarwal will now perhaps be able to unite the scattered BJP so that it can compete with the Congress.

Meanwhile, the party has retained Vijaya Rahatkar on the post of co-incharge. Be it the assembly elections or the Lok Sabha elections, wherever she was given responsibility, she lived up to it. This is the reason why Rahatkar, who is also known as ‘Tai’, has not been removed by the party. Her role in the party is like that of a guardian. She is associated with all the leaders and workers of the party, starting from Bhajanlal Sharma. That is why the party has once again expressed trust in her.

Gaganyaan Programme : Indian Astronauts to Train at NASA for Joint Space Mission with US by 2024

President Joe Biden announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US visit in June 2023 that an Indian astronaut will be sent to the International Space Station (ISS). According to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), two Indian astronauts will begin training at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Texas starting August. One of these astronauts, who previously underwent basic training at Moscow’s Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, will participate in the joint India-US mission to the ISS.

The mission, scheduled to be conducted by American private companies SpaceX and Axiom by the end of 2024, aims to equip Indian astronauts with essential skills. Former ISRO chairman K Sivan highlighted that this mission will familiarize Indian astronauts with advanced technologies, crucial for India’s upcoming Gaganyaan programme. The Gaganyaan programme plans to launch three astronauts aboard an Indian rocket for a short-duration mission in a 400 km orbit, anticipated by 2026. Selected for this mission are Group Captains Prashanth Nair, Ajit Krishnan, Angad Pratap, and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla. Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma made history in 1984 when he spent eight days aboard the Salyut 7 space station, a milestone in India-Soviet space collaboration.

Prime Minister Modi Expresses Grief for Those Affected by Cyclone Michaung

In response to the devastation caused by Cyclone Michaung in Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister MK Stalin reached out to PM Modi, seeking an immediate interim relief fund of Rs 5060 crores. CM Stalin also urged the PM to dispatch a central team to assess the cyclone’s damages in the state. He inspected the affected areas personally and lauded the efforts of government machinery, urging more individuals to join hands in relief work.

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone Michaung has weakened into a deep depression over central coastal Andhra Pradesh. The system moved north-northeastwards and was expected to further weaken into a Low-Pressure Area within the next 12 hours.

The impact of the cyclone led to tragic consequences in Chennai, where 17 deaths were reported due to flooding caused by heavy rainfall. Subsequently, the Chennai Police confirmed six additional deaths on Wednesday. Instances of drowning and electrocution were reported, with authorities offering medical aid to those affected.

The Greater Chennai Police coordinated with the Greater Chennai Corporation to issue flood warnings to residents along the Adyar River bank, aiming to ensure their safety. Additionally, Chennai police officials, including Additional Commissioner of Police (South) Prem Anand Sinha and DC Mount, provided relief and rescue operations in Manapakkam and Thuraipakkam.

To alleviate the flooding, the Coimbatore Corporation dispatched twelve 41-HP motors to Chennai to assist in flood relief operations, demonstrating solidarity in responding to the calamity.

The state machinery has been proactively responding to distress messages on social media, extending timely assistance, and collaborating with various authorities to address the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung.

ECI issues show cause notice to Rahul Gandhi over his disparaging remarks against PM Modi

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, received a show-cause notice on Thursday from the Election Commission of India for his “Jaibkatra” (Pickpocket) and “Pannauti” comments he made about Prime Minister Modi during an election rally. On November 22, the BJP filed a complaint with ECI regarding Rahul Gandhi’s disparaging remarks about Prime Minister Modi during his rallies.

“Whereas, a complaint has been received from the BJP (copy enclosed) alleging that you, on 22nd November 2023 in a public meeting at Bayatu, District Barmer, Rajasthan made wild allegations and spoke in a derisive and obnoxious manner about the Prime Minister. It is alleged that comparing a PM to a “Jaibkatra” (pickpocket) and using the word “Pannauti” is unbecoming of a very senior leader of a National Political Party. Further, the allegation of grant of waivers of Rs. 14,00,000 crores for the past 9 years, is asserted by the BJP, as not borne out on facts,” the ECI letter to Rahul Gandhi said.
“Furthermore, they are allegedly in violation of Section 123 (4) of the R.P. Act, Section 171G, 504, 505 (2), and 499 of the IPC, and provisions of the Model Code of Conduct.” It added.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi asserted during a rally in Barmer that India’s World Cup final defeat was caused by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence in the Narendra Modi stadium.

“Our guys were playing well, they would have won the world cup. But ‘Panauti’ made us lose. The TV guys won’t tell you this but people know,” Rahul said while campaigning at Rajasthan’s Barmer on Monday.
The ECI further asked Rahul Gandhi to explain why the action be not taken against him in the matter till November 25.

In its complaint to ECI, the BJP requested that the Congress leader be subject to appropriate action. “It will tarnish the electoral atmosphere, where mistreatment, the use of disagreeable and hurtful words to disparage honorable people, and the dissemination of false information will become inevitable,” the BJP claimed.

Fans create a massive tricolor floral garland to greet Prime Minister Modi in New York

The Indian community in New Jersey is preparing a bright welcome for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long-awaited visit to the United States. A group of Modi supporters has convened at the Ved Mandir, the area’s oldest Hindu temple, to construct a 20-foot-long floral garland. The organisation chose the Tricolour as the subject for the garland in anticipation of welcome Prime Minister Modi to the United Nations. Chairman of the Federation of Indian Association, a diaspora organization, Ankur Vaidya, said: “As you heard from the ladies and the gentlemen that you see beside me working hard to put the mala together, they had gone to extended lengths to procure these organic flowers. The typical Indian mala flowers are not easy to get. So, we placed an effort and it’s a very humbling realization that the community is turning out in numbers, most of them US citizens who have been here for a couple of decades, showing their affection and love towards our motherland, towards the leader of our motherland by presenting this unique gesture of creating a handmade garland that will take hours to compile and put together through different volunteers.”
He said volunteers involved in preparing the garland include children and adults of all age groups.
“So it’s a very impressive, very divine, very auspicious environment in which the mala is being made as you can hear the mantras going in the background. It enables us and encourages us to do more of such things and it’s in a small way giving a big impact to prayers and blessings for the PM’s well-being, safety and may he continue to serve the motherland and continue to prosper the motherland,” Vaidya said.

Freshly picked flowers from nearby farms were sourced by the community. Each flower was then handpicked, trimmed and set in the garland.
Community member Smita Mikki Patel said: “We are trying to make this beautiful garland with the Tricolor theme to welcome our Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We wanted to make this garland so big and so unique that we collected so many different kinds of flowers. We tried different places to get the flowers and finally, we found them in one of the organic. We got these flowers from the organic farm.”
Patel added: “We also have a Mission of Life theme in our organization. So, we just felt that we should go for the more organic product here to help the farmers as well.”

The priests of the temple even chanted mantras and prayed for the PM for a successful trip.
Ved Mandir Priest said the organization’s efforts will only be successful if PM Modi accepts the mala.

Children were seen making the Indian flag to greet PM Modi, and women from the Indian diaspora danced and trained in Richmond in preparation for their performance during the PM’s visit.

Meanwhile, the Indian diaspora in the United States expressed delight in the fact that yoga is now accepted on a global scale.

During his formal state visit to the United States, Prime Minister Modi will lead the 9th edition of International Yoga Day on June 21 at the United Nations headquarters in New York. “We have been living in the US for 15 years. It is very good. PM Modi, during his tenure, has put India on the world map and has also made ‘yoga’ famous,” Ashish Bhatia said at Times Square.
Anu Bhatia, another Indian-origin lady said that the world has started to know about ‘yoga’ ever since PM Modi promoted it to the world stage.
“We follow yoga very deeply. Especially, after Modi ji became the Prime Minister of India, people in the US also started knowing about yoga. We wish that ‘Modi Sarkar’ comes every time,” she said.
