</excerpt>

A Scandinavian Airlines flight heading to Miami experienced severe turbulence, sending passengers screaming and flying out of their seats. Chilling footage of the incident has gone viral on social media, capturing the chaos onboard as the plane violently shook mid-air.

The turbulence occurred as the plane flew over Greenland, forcing the pilots to make a U-turn and return to Copenhagen. The aircraft, which had departed from Stockholm at 12:55 pm, carried 254 passengers and crew. According to a Scandinavian Airlines spokesperson, “Following such turbulence, standard safety procedures require a thorough inspection of the aircraft.”

In the viral clip, bags and food are seen falling from overhead compartments while passengers scream in terror. One passenger shared the video with the caption, “Look at her feet touching the [ceiling]! Thought we would die.” Despite the intense turbulence, no serious injuries were reported.

Upon its return to Copenhagen, technicians inspected the plane for potential damage. Passengers were accommodated in hotels overnight and rebooked on alternative flights the next day, as reported by the New York Post.

Previous Incidents

This is not the first time a Scandinavian Airlines flight has had to abandon its journey and return to base. In September, a Norway-to-Spain flight was forced to return after a mouse was spotted jumping out of a passenger’s meal and running around the cabin. According to aviation protocols, flights must land immediately if a rodent is discovered onboard due to the risk of electrical wiring damage.

Such instances highlight the unpredictable challenges faced during air travel, from extreme turbulence to unusual safety concerns.

</excerpt>

A dramatic altercation inside a Delhi Metro coach has gone viral after a video surfaced online on October 16, showing passengers confronting and assaulting a man suspected of theft. The 25-second clip captures the chaotic scene as an irate crowd drags the alleged thief into the metro coach while he tries to escape by clinging to the door. Despite the intense confrontation, the man manages to break free just as the doors close, fleeing the scene before further action could be taken.

Viral Video Sparks Public Outcry

This shocking incident has sparked concern among commuters and social media users. The Delhi Metro, while celebrated for its convenience and efficiency, has become a recurring stage for viral content, from public altercations to unexpected entertainment performances. Despite repeated warnings from authorities, such incidents continue to surface, putting a spotlight on the behavioral issues in public transport.

Previous Brawl Inside Metro Goes Viral

In a similar instance, another video recently went viral, showing a fight between two men inside a Delhi Metro compartment. The footage shows one man removing his slipper and striking the other, leading to a heated retaliation. The confrontation quickly escalates, with slaps exchanged and an attempt to physically restrain one another. The altercation ended when another passenger intervened, stopping the fight before it could escalate further. Although the exact date of this incident remains unverified, the video gained traction after being shared on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Kalesh b/w Two Guys inside Metro.”

Both incidents highlight the growing concern regarding public behavior in the Delhi Metro, which continues to be a topic of discussion online and among authorities.

A cab driver’s list of six passenger rules has ignited an online debate, with some Reddit users calling his guidelines justified while others deemed them excessive. The list, prominently displayed inside the cab, included requests for passengers to be polite, avoid showing attitude, and refrain from addressing the driver as “bhaiya.”

Clear Boundaries for a Better Ride

The driver’s printed list, hung from the front passenger seat, sought to establish firm boundaries for a more respectful interaction. Among the key demands, passengers were urged to be courteous, close the door gently, and avoid calling him “bhaiya”—a term commonly used to address drivers in India.

HAVE A LOOK AT THE VIRAL POST:

I have booked a cab and the cab driver mentioned some guidelines on the cab! What do you about these guidelines?
byu/Your_Friendly_Panda inCarsIndia

One of the highlighted rules advised passengers to remember that the driver is the owner of the vehicle. “The person driving the cab is the owner of the cab,” read the sign. The driver’s other major request was for passengers to refrain from giving him attitude, with a blunt rule stating, “Put your attitude in your pocket. Please don’t show it to us because you are not giving us more money.”

Strict Guidelines Spark Online Reactions

The list, posted on Reddit by a user who had booked the cab, quickly went viral, dividing opinions on the CarsIndia subreddit. While many agreed that setting boundaries was reasonable, the cab driver’s insistence on not being called “bhaiya” sparked confusion.

“Most points are fair but what’s with – don’t call us bhaiya?” one user commented. Others, particularly from South India, mentioned that addressing drivers respectfully using local terms like “Anna” was common practice.

Many felt the guidelines were largely about mutual respect. One Redditor observed, “Things like closing the door softly and not disturbing the driver are basic manners.” However, not everyone was impressed, with one user criticizing the driver’s tone as overly authoritarian, stating, “The beginning made sense, but at the end, it was just topped with a hypothetical ego & totalitarian attitude!”

Despite the mixed reactions, the driver’s stand against rudeness and his plea for respect from passengers resonated with many, reigniting conversations about the treatment of service workers.

“We have sought a report and shall take stringent action against those responsible,” a senior DGCA official said.

However, into the incident, an inquiry has been initiated by Go First, who said, “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to an inadvertent oversight in the reconciliation of flight G8 116, from Bengaluru to Delhi. Passengers were accommodated on alternate airlines to Delhi and onward to other destinations. We deeply appreciate and value your patience in bearing with us.”

“In line with our philosophy of customer centricity, the airline has decided to offer all affected passengers one free ticket for travel on any domestic sector in the next 12 months. The airline has initiated an inquiry into the incident and the matter is being investigated. All concerned staff of the roaster till the inquiry is going on,” the airlines stated.

After a cruise in Australia was docked in with hundreds of Covid infected passengers, Australia’s Home Affairs Minister on Saturday sought to reassure the public that COVID-19 protocols were adequate. Carnival Australia’s Majestic Princess cruise ship was docked in Sydney, the capital of the most populous state, New South Wales, with “in the vicinity” of 800 passengers on board testing positive to the virus, the company said.

This incident is similar to that of 2020 outbreak where 914 passengers onboard the Ruby Princess cruise ship were tested Covid positive which resulted in 28 deaths. Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil said the authorities have created “regular protocols” in the wake of the Ruby Princess episode and that New South Wales Health would take the lead on determining how to get passengers off the Majestic Princess “on a case by case basis”.

Company president Marguerite Fitzgerald told ABC television that once Carnival saw an elevated number of COVID cases, it put extra protocols in place. The outbreak comes as COVID-19 cases rise across Australia, reflecting community transmission of the Omicron variant XBB, the federal government said this week.

Days before the official debut of the services in the country, the New Delhi International Airport has enabled 5G for passengers.

“The passengers having a 5G-enabled mobile phone and SIM card will have better signal strength, seamless connectivity and faster data speed at the domestic departure pier and international arrival baggage area at Terminal 3, and between T3 arrivals and multi-level car parking (MLCP),” the GMR group which manages the airport said.

The rollout of the 5G network throughout the T3 terminal will take in phases.

“The 5G network offers a faster speed and lower latency. At the airport, this feature of the next-generation mobile technology will help improve connection density and will also lead to greater efficiencies and aid in faster decision-making,” Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, Delhi International Airport Limited chief executive officer said.

According to the reports, Pime Minister Narendra Modi will launch 5G services at the India Mobile Congress on October 1.

During his address to the nation on Independence Day, the prime minister had said, “Now we are stepping towards the era of 5G… won’t have to wait for long. We are taking optical fibre to every village. I have full knowledge that the dream of Digital India will pass through villages.”

India is getting ready for the rollout of 5G services, and numerous telecom service providers have already prepared their networks. The government had sent letters of spectrum allocation to the major telecom companies in August, asking them to get ready for the launch of the services.

Reliance, owned by Mukesh Ambani Jio has already made the announcement that it will begin offering standalone 5G services in major cities around Diwali and that the network will be extended to the entire nation by 2023. By March 2024, Airtel, a competitor of Reliance, expects to roll out 5G services in 5,000 cities and towns.
