Recently, Nora Fatehi was caught in the midst of the devastating wildfires raging in Los Angeles, forcing her to evacuate her residence on very short notice. “It’s crazy, insane,” she said of the situation as she shared her fear and concern on Instagram Stories, explaining that she received an evacuation order just moments before. She quickly packed her belongings and decided to head toward the airport, hoping to catch her flight despite the chaos surrounding her. Priyanka Chopra, also based in Los Angeles, shared a video of the flames engulfing hills near her mansion. In her post, she sent her thoughts to everyone affected by the wildfires and thanked the rescue workers and fire departments for their efforts in battling the blaze.

The wildfires have caused widespread devastation, destroying over 1,000 structures and forcing more than 130,000 residents to evacuate. Several major fires are raging and not yet controlled; firefighters from adjacent states are trying to subdue the infernos. Among these, one in Pacific Palisades is reportedly the most devastating, having already scorched over 15,000 acres and remains mostly uncontrolled. This tony neighborhood houses a number of Hollywood stars, whose property has been damaged by the wildfire.

The fires have affected a number of well-known figures; many celebrities were forced to leave their homes, and some have lost them entirely. Actors like Mark Hamill, Mandy Moore, and James Woods were among the evacuees. According to reports, Adam Brody, Leighton Meester, and Anthony Hopkins have lost their homes. Furthermore, homes of other celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Keaton, and Tom Hanks are also at risk, while Ben Affleck is said to have left his $20 million home in search of a safe haven with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner as the flames approached.

Actress Nora Fatehi spoke candidly about the mistreatment she experienced in the entertainment and film industries, mostly at the hands of well-known celebrities. She disclosed that she had been bullied and humiliated by male celebrities and added that occasionally, she meets people who make her feel “weird inside” because of their “energy and intention.” She claimed that this frequently occurs because they prefer the success of women who are close to them above her.

Speaking on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Nora stated she has seen similar behavior a lot and that it had just happened again. “They’ll say things behind your back, and you’ll get to know what they said, and they have that entitlement of being bullies. Nobody will call them out,” she continued, saying that the major reason she has survived is that she is unpredictable and threatening.

“Some people don’t get it, they think, ‘How come her? Why not our girl?’ So much of that happens, and they get so angry, and also, a lot of them don’t like my directness,” Nora stated, “I’m not like the other girls,” who will act obediently in front of famous men. “I will joke with you like you’re my homie, I will tell you to your face if something is off, but I’ll also be the most amazing person for you, I’ll help you with whatever you might need,” she stated.

Discussing her experience at the beginning, she continued, “If I feel something is off, I’ll say it. But some people don’t like that. Some people prefer girls who are quiet, submissive, someone who looks like they need the work. I don’t give that power to anybody. And then they’ll say things like, ‘She’s nothing, she’s nobody, she’s not talented, why is she here?’ All that happens, and then they see you again at certain events. They seem to not be able to brush you off, wherever you go, they’re there too, and this irritates them more. You’re slowly climbing up and reaching where they are, and they don’t want that.”

Nora claimed that these individuals attempt to cover her aura with their negativity.“They start to bully you, demean you, talk bad things about you…” When asked if it’s alright for her to express these things in public, Nora said, “People say s**t about me all the time.” Nora also admitted that even her friends are wondering how Nora has managed to stay away from predators in Bollywood. “Luckily, I’ve not had that situation, and I know why… I do think that it could have almost happened, but my personality is a little intimidating, so they kind of get like, ‘Iske saath nahi, she could talk’. These people, whether they’re stars or not, at the end of the day are predators.” According to Nora, people like this “sniff out victims,” and she chooses not to be one.

Nora Fatehi arrives ED office in Rs 200 cr money laundering case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) office summoned Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi on Friday for questioning in connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

On September 15, Nora and Pinky Irani—who allegedly introduced Nora and Jacqueline Fernandez to the imprisoned conman—were both interrogated by the Delhi Police’s Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) for more than four hours. On November 15, however, the Patiala House Court granted Jacqueline interim bail in exchange for a personal bond in the amount of Rs. 2 lakh and one surety in the same amount.

On September 12, 2021, and October 14, 2021, statements made by Nora Fatehi were notably recorded under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, in which she claimed to have received a booking for a charitable event. Leena Paulose had called Nora’s husband, who had put the phone on speaker, and he had thanked her and mentioned that they were fans of hers, according to Nora. She then announced that as a sign of their love and generosity, they would give her a brand-new BMW car.

According to the ED, searches were carried out throughout the inquiry at a number of locations connected to Sukesh Chandrashekar and his colleagues. 16 high-end cars that were either registered in the names of Leena Paulose’s companies or in the names of other parties were seized during the search under Section 17 of the PMLA. It is further argued that it has come to light that Sukesh knowingly set up the framework for layering and transferring the proceeds of crime, actively taking part in the money laundering process.

IIFA awards 2023 is back; to be held at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi

Following the huge success of IIFA 2022, the 23 edition of IIFA weekend and awards is back by popular demand at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

The countdown of IIFA 2023 begins with Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Varun Dhawan, Manish Paul, Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Nucleya, and Sunidhi Chauhan.

Meanwhile, for the 23 edition of IIFA weekend and awards tickets sales are now live. The biggest celebration of Indian cinema, the International Indian Film Academy and Awards (IIFA) returns with its 23rd edition to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on 9, 10, and 11, February 2023.

To kickstart the countdown, a press conference was held in Mumbai today. On the occasion Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Varun Dhawan, Manish Paul, Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan, Amit Trivedi, and Nucleya who will take center stage with other Bollywood A-listers like Ranveer Singh, Kriti Sanon, Nora Fatehi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh and many more at the mega grand awards were present.
