Despite charging hefty fees, the facility lacked proper staff and legal registration. Authorities plan to seal it.
</excerpt>

At least 42 seniors were saved from an ‘illegal’ old-age home in Noida, where authorities found women bound and several residents housed without clothes in basement-style rooms.

The shocking case surfaced after police, along with members of the Uttar Pradesh State Women Commission and the State Welfare Department, raided the Anand Niketan Vridha Seva Ashram located in Sector 55 on Thursday, PTI said. The institution, which was in a dilapidated condition, was found to be running without having any valid registration.

Viral Video Exposes Everything!

The raid came after an allegedly tied-up woman was featured in a viral video inside the Ashram. The individual who recorded the clip maintained it depicted the humane situation at the Anand Niketan facility.

Meenakshi Bharala, a commission member, corroborated that she was shown a woman bound during the raid and many others locked up in dingy, basement-like conditions. “Many of the men did not even have clothes, while many elderly women were found half-dressed,” she added.

No Documents, No Staff, No Care

Upon request to produce official papers, the operator did not produce any, and the authorities thus proclaimed the ashram unlawful. Though in operation since 1994, it had never been registered.

“This old-age home is totally illegal,” Bharala confirmed

“There were 42 elderly residents in the ashram. Three of them will be relocated to a government-run old-age home on Friday, and the others will be relocated to other sanctioned government-run facilities within the next five days.”

The ashram is to be sealed by the administration. The investigators also discovered that the facility was charging individuals Rs. 2.5 lakh per individual to accommodate residents, with a Rs. 20,000 security deposit and Rs. 10,000–Rs. 12,000 monthly for living expenses and food, as reported by Live Hindustan.

Abuse Despite High Fees

In spite of the exorbitant fees, the ashram had no qualified staff to take care of its geriatric residents. The majority were made to look after themselves, and many were in soiled clothes, urine and faeces-stained.

There were also said to be parents of well-remunerated Noida households amongst the residents. A female who said she was a nurse was present on premises, but turned out to be a school graduate without medical training.

When asked, the management justified their actions on the grounds of having tied up some elderly individuals for their own safety. “Earlier, they had injured themselves or defecated or urinated on others. So, they were tied up to protect them,” they explained.

The raid was carried out in the presence of officials from the District Probation Office, District Social Welfare Office, and local police.

The SUV driver, captured in a viral video, is still at large for as police continue their search for the suspects.
</excerpt>

Noida Police Commissioner, Lakshmi Singh has suspended two police officials over a cover up of the viral Thar case, where it was seen that a man was run over by a Mahindra Thar and sent flying into the side of the road following a social media feud.

Through an official written statement, the Noida Police Department has suspended SHO of Sector 24 Noida, Shyambabu Shukla and Jagmohan Singh, the OIC of Gijhore. The statement read, “On June 2, an incident of quarrel and brawl between two parties under the jurisdiction of Sector-24 police station went viral on social media. Despite knowing about the incident, the Sector-24 police station in-charge inspector Shyambabu Shukla hid the incident from the higher authorities and did not make any meaningful efforts to arrest the accused,”

“This act is a reflection of arbitrariness, negligence and indiscipline towards one’s duties and responsibilities. Taking cognizance of the incident, the Police Commissioner of Gautam Buddh Nagar has suspended the SHO and outpost (Chowki) in-charge with immediate effect.
Viral Thar Hit-and-Run: What Triggered the Attack?

A minor Instagram spat turned into a violent road rage attack in Sector 53 when two brothers, Saurabh and Sumit Yadav, were ambushed by a mob of 15–20 men led by Akash Awana. The altercation stemmed from a comment Akash made about a female friend of Ayush, a close associate of the victims. Expecting a verbal discussion, the Yadavs arrived at the meeting spot, only to be brutally attacked. The violence escalated when the assailants attempted to run them over with a Mahindra Thar SUV. Police are investigating, and a search is underway for the suspects involved.

The Noida traffic police has tracked down the Thar used in the viral video and subsequently issued a fine of ₹68,500 on the assailent who the police are actively trying to locate.

</excerpt>

A 36-year-old man named Wasim Ahmed was arrested by Noida police on Wednesday for allegedly pretending to be a journalist and cheating over 100 people by promising them jobs at major multinational companies.

Shakti Mohan Avasthy, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida), confirmed the arrest. “The accused has been identified as Wasim Ahmed, a native of Bijnor currently residing in the Ecotech-3 area of Gautam Buddh Nagar. The Sector-63 police arrested him,” he said.

Ahmed had hired two women as assistants, paying them Rs 12,000 each per month in his office, which he had been running in Noida’s Sector-81.

He also managed a YouTube channel called TODAY Jobs Noida, where he posted fake job advertisements. “He would charge them registration and certain file charges, then, after taking their fake interviews, give them fake appointment letters from companies like Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Haier, LG, etc.,” said Avasthy.

The scam came to light after a complaint was filed on April 26 by a man named Yogendra, who said he was duped by someone pretending to be a journalist. Based on this, the police launched an investigation and arrested Ahmed using local intelligence.

Ahmed used several aliases, including Ravindra Sharma, Kapil Bhati, Piyush Bhati, Rohit Kumar, Rohit Chandela, and Rahul Bhati.

Over 200 visiting cards, interview forms, job-related documents, two mobile phones, and a Wagon R car were recovered from his possession.

“When these people would discover they had not gotten a job with the promised company and would call him, Ahmed would switch off his phone. If those duped people visited his office, he would make excuses and scare them away by calling himself a journalist,” the DCP said.

He also has a criminal record and has previously served jail time in similar cases registered at Sector-49 and Sector-20.

A fresh and active Western Disturbance from May 2 is also set to impact northwest India. IMD said this system would bring light to moderate rainfall, gusty winds, and lightning across Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. “A dust storm accompanied with gusty winds is also very likely at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan,” the IMD stated.

Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh is bracing for a weather shift. He locked their bedroom, muffled her screams, and bludgeoned her to death before walking 2km to surrender. Police have registered a murder case; the accused showed no remorse and the weapon was recovered.
</excerpt>

Blinded with jealousy, a 55-year-old Noida man reportedly killed his wife with a hammer at their Sector 15 house on Friday afternoon and then marched over 2km to the police station to turn himself in, senior police officials said.

The suspect, Noor-ul-lah Haider, a graduate in computer engineering, suspected his wife, Asma Khan, 42, of having an affair. The police said, after a night-long fight, he allegedly sealed their bedroom late in the afternoon, covered her cries with a pillow, and hammered her repeatedly on the head with a hammer until she was killed.

Asma, a civil engineer with a private firm in Sector 62, resided along with Haider and the couple’s two children: 19-year-old Samad, a student of BTech at Amity University, and 12-year-old Inaya in a two-storey house in Block C, Sector 15.

“On Friday at about 1pm, my wife Farida (sister of Asma) received a call from Samad saying that his mother was dead. When Farida inquired about what had happened, Samad replied that his father had murdered her and that she was found lying in a blood pool on the bed,” explained Nadeem, who is Farida’s husband and lives in Jamia Nagar of Delhi.

Nadeem told that the couple was fighting almost daily. At around 5am that morning, Asma had called her sister and requested her to mediate as the fight between her and Haider had gone on all night.

Acting on the call for help, Farida and other members of the family arrived at the house of the couple early Friday morning. “Asma and Haider were counseled for more than five hours by relatives, who departed around 11am,” Nadeem added.

Asma’s mother, Husnara Begum, stayed behind in the house to facilitate the release of tension. “After others left, Asma and Haider went to their room, and the children to theirs. That was when he locked the door from within and murdered her,” Nadeem said.

Amit Kumar Maan, the phase 1 police station’s station house officer (SHO), said, “Haider had gone over 2km on foot from the house of his victims to the Sector 20 police station to surrender after committing the murder. He told police officials at the station that he had killed his wife on suspicion of infidelity.

After Haider’s confession, Sector 20 police promptly informed their counterparts at the Phase 1 station. A police party was dispatched to the house to seal the crime scene and begin the investigation.

“A case under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered at the Phase 1 police station, and the body has been sent for autopsy,” confirmed Maan.

Another deputy commissioner of police, Sumit Shukla, said, “Haider accepted that he murdered his wife out of suspicion of infidelity. He did not show any regret for what he had done. We have collected the hammer from the location and further investigation is being carried out to take statements of the suspect and others.

The Strange Appearance of ‘Sorry Bubu’ Posters

In Noida, around 30 to 40 posters were spotted near the Botanical Garden Metro Station on a foot overbridge (FOB), catching the attention of passersby. The posters, which bore the words “Sorry Bubu” with an incorrect spelling of “Babu,” featured two cartoon characters, but no further information was provided.

The police suspect it might be the work of a prankster or mischievous individual, and have launched an investigation to uncover the person behind the strange message. However, the lack of details or explanation has left the authorities perplexed.

Posters Spread to Meerut: A Growing Mystery

Not long after, similar “Sorry Bubu” posters were spotted in Gangangar, Meerut. A young woman noticed the strange signs in multiple locations and filmed a video, which she shared on Instagram. The video quickly gained traction, and local police took the matter seriously. They have started reviewing CCTV footage in an attempt to identify the culprit responsible for placing the posters.

Social Media Reactions: Love Affair or Prank?

The mysterious “Sorry Bubu” posters sparked a flurry of reactions online. Some social media users speculated that the message was part of a romantic gesture or related to a love affair. Others believed it was a harmless prank orchestrated by someone looking for attention or trying to confuse the public.

Despite the growing curiosity, no official explanation has emerged yet. The identity of the person behind the posters remains unknown, and the mystery continues to intrigue both the public and the authorities.

As of now, the enigma of “Sorry Bubu” remains unsolved, keeping the residents of Noida and Meerut—and the online community—wondering about the meaning behind this bizarre and puzzling display.

</excerpt>

Two young men were found dead in their rented room in Noida’s Sector 70, Uttar Pradesh, after an unattended pot of cooking chhole (chickpeas) filled their room with smoke. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, as reported by local authorities.

Victims Identified as Food Vendors

The victims, Upendra (22) and Shivam (23), operated a food cart selling chhole kulche and bhatura in the area. Residing in a small, poorly ventilated room in Basai village, the duo had finished work late Friday night.

Concerned neighbours raised the alarm when they noticed smoke emanating from the men’s quarters. Upon breaking into the room, they found the two unconscious and rushed them to the district hospital in Sector 39, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Smoke from Stove Likely Cause of Death

Preliminary investigations revealed that the pair had left a pot of chhole cooking on a gas stove before going to bed. The stove continued to burn through the night, leading to the food charring and releasing smoke that filled the unventilated room.

“Initial evidence suggests that suffocation due to smoke and carbon monoxide buildup in the enclosed space caused their deaths,” a Noida Police official stated.

Post-Mortem Examination Pending

The bodies have been sent for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Officials reported no visible injuries, further supporting the theory of smoke inhalation as the primary cause.

“This appears to be a tragic accident. The post-mortem will confirm the precise cause of death,” said the police spokesperson.

A Cautionary Tale on Fire Safety

This heartbreaking incident underscores the risks of leaving stoves or cooking appliances unattended, particularly in spaces with limited ventilation. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions to avoid such preventable tragedies.

Playground Quarrel Turns Ugly

The incident began with a minor quarrel between two children in Gaur City 2, a residential complex in Greater Noida.
Traffic Diversions and Alternate Routes

The Noida Police have suggested alternative routes for vehicles to minimise congestion:

Chilla Border to Greater Noida: Sector 14-A flyover, Golchakkar Chowk, Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk, Jhunjhupura Chowk

Kalindi Border to Delhi: Mahamaya flyover, Sector-37

Greater Noida to Delhi: Charkha roundabout, Kalindi Kunj, or Hajipur underpass via Sector-51 and Model Town

Yamuna Expressway Traffic: Exit at Jewar toll, proceed via Khurja and Jahangirpur

Peripheral Expressway Traffic: Use Dadri or Dasna exits instead of Sirsa

Farmers’ Demands at the Heart of Protest

The farmers are marching with five key demands aimed at improving their livelihood and ensuring proper compensation for land acquisition. These include:

Allocation of 10% plots and a 64.7% increase in compensation under the old land acquisition law.

Protest in Context: A Growing Struggle for Farmers’ Rights

Thus, Naman Gupta, hailing from Noida, designed recycled solutions for this degeneration, catapulting him into a God Sent error of enacting dogs about cigarette butts, a social media fancy so far.

A video shared by 60 Second Docs on Instagram highlights Gupta’s endeavor, starting with a shocking statistic: “Over 4.5 trillion cigarette butts are littered across the globe every year.” Gupta explains that his company, Code Effort Private Ltd, collects and treats the butts to obtain fibers over a 24-hour biodegradable process to remove toxins before they are used as stuffing for plush toys.

Gupta emphasizes that the products are safe, saying, “These toys will be certified as safe and child-friendly. By making something tangible and relatable for young people, we create awareness among them on the topic of cigarette pollution and its effect on the planet.”

The concept has caught the world’s attention, giving the video over 250,000 views. A few have showed their thumbs up towards Gupta’s novelty; others raised their concerns about safety.

A skeptic observes: “It is a great cause, but I really doubt if these fibers are totally clean of toxins. This blessed idea could possibly put workers in danger.” Another makes an observation: “I don’t know, man… those take quite a while to decompose.”

But supporters rallied and lauded Gupta for the initiative. Comments like “Amazing idea” and “This is something unimaginable” flooded the post, with “He has certified it to be safe, let’s not fault-find” becoming a recurrent refrain.

A Step Toward Sustainability

Gupta’s initiative kicks off an essential dialogue on recycling and sustainability-a grave matter indeed-as he, by targeting cigarette waste, exemplifies how creative solutions can work wonders to address environmental issues and drive global change.

It had suffered a lot, with a wooden stick barely 2.5 feet long inserted into the rectum. That set off a quest to know how a human being could stoop so low in hurting a defenseless animal.

Rescue after a Distress Call

The whole incident came to light after Nandi Seva Trust got information about a sick cow on the banks of Ali Vardipur village, Haldwani. The trust promptly sent an ambulance and took the sick cow to the veterinary hospital in Sector 3, Patwari.
Nearby locations in Punjab and Chandigarh showed AQI levels in the “poor” category. At 11 p.m. Thursday, Haryana’s Gurugram recorded an AQI of 322, Jind 336, and Charkhi Dadri 306, according to the CPCB’s Sameer app, which provides real-time air quality updates.

Unlike last Diwali, when favorable conditions kept Delhi’s AQI at 218, this year’s celebrations brought the capital back to hazardous pollution levels, exacerbated by adverse weather, stubble burning, and vehicular emissions. In past years, the Delhi government has imposed firecracker bans, encouraging eco-friendly alternatives, yet restrictions are often disregarded as firecrackers remain widely available.

The city’s AQI surged to an average of 330, up from 307 on the previous day, reviving memories of severe pollution from 2020. PM2.5 and PM10 levels peaked at 145.1 and 272 micrograms per cubic meter around 9 p.m., endangering vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory conditions.

Despite the deployment of 377 enforcement teams to curb firecracker usage, large-scale defiance of the ban was observed in East and West Delhi neighborhoods. Surveillance teams warned that violations could lead to legal consequences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for defying government mandates.

Surrounding regions—Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram—experienced relatively better AQI levels in the “poor” range, while Faridabad recorded a “moderate” AQI of 181 on Thursday night. However, unfavorable weather, vehicle emissions, and stubble burning from nearby states contributed to the smog that regularly thickens over Delhi-NCR as winter approaches.

The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) anticipates worsening pollution in early November, with stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana expected to peak soon. Previous years’ Diwali AQI readings have fluctuated with scores of 312 in 2022, 382 in 2021, and 414 in 2020, illustrating the persistent pollution surge during this period despite government measures.

AQI categories are classified as: 0-50 (good), 51-100 (satisfactory), 101-200 (moderate), 201-300 (poor), 301-400 (very poor), 401-450 (severe), and above 450 as “severe plus.”

</excerpt>

In a shocking revelation, Harshita Mishra, a talent acquisition specialist based in Noida, has brought to light a disturbing trend among job applicants—disregarding professional boundaries following a rejection. Mishra recently shared screenshots of inappropriate messages she received from rejected candidates on her LinkedIn profile, highlighting how some individuals found it challenging to accept their job rejections.

Inappropriate Advances and Unwanted Compliments

Many of the job seekers resorted to commenting on Mishra’s physical appearance, using terms like “cute,” “sundar” (beautiful), and “hot.” One candidate went so far as to send her love poetry after receiving a rejection. Mishra pointed out that these types of messages have become increasingly common, stating, “As an HR professional, I’ve observed a disturbing trend: candidates who don’t get selected start to disregard their boundaries. Inappropriate nighttime texts and calls have become a regular occurrence.”

A Call for Awareness

Mishra emphasized the need to expose this issue without hiding any details. “I’ve shared screenshots to illustrate the severity of this issue,” she said, reinforcing her commitment to maintaining a respectful demeanor in the face of such behavior. “Don’t mistake this for my weakness,” she added.

Social Media Outcry

The reactions on social media have been a mix of shock and familiarity, as many users reported similar experiences. One commenter expressed concern for Mishra, urging her organization to take action against such inappropriate behavior. Another shared a recent experience where they were advised to forgive a candidate for their misconduct to avoid harming their future job prospects.

“This is clearly a cheap mentality and harassment,” remarked a LinkedIn user, underscoring the pervasive nature of the issue in professional settings.

Mishra’s brave decision to share her experiences aims not only to shed light on this unacceptable behavior but also to advocate for a more respectful workplace culture.

</excerpt>

In a unique move to attract luxury buyers, Jaypee Greens, a prominent real estate developer in Noida, has announced a lavish offer: each villa purchased in their high-end project will come with a complimentary Lamborghini. The luxury housing initiative is aimed at wealthy clients, especially those with a taste for high-end cars, looking to invest in the Greater Noida area.

The ₹26 Crore Villa with a Lamborghini Perk

The buzz around this luxurious offer started when realtor Gaurav Gupta shared details on social media, revealing that each Jaypee Greens villa costs upwards of ₹26 crore. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Gupta highlighted the exclusivity of the offer, noting that each villa buyer would receive a Lamborghini Urus, which typically retails for over ₹4 crore in India.

HAVE A LOOK AT THE VIRAL POST:

However, the villa’s ₹26 crore price tag covers only the base villa. Gupta pointed out that additional costs include ₹30 lakh for designated parking, ₹7.5 lakh for power backup, and another ₹7.5 lakh for club membership. Buyers opting for a villa overlooking the golf course would pay an additional ₹50 lakh.

Mixed Reactions Flood Social Media

Social media users had varied responses to Jaypee Greens’ unusual offer. “Imagine everyone in the neighborhood with the same villa and the same car—ultimate premium living!” remarked one user. Others speculated that the car’s cost might already be factored into the price of the villa, allowing the builder to secure a substantial margin.

One user jokingly added, “Complimentary services business model at peak!” Jaypee Greens, a premier division of the Jaypee Group, is known for its flagship projects in Greater Noida, which include exclusive villas, luxury apartments, a championship golf course designed by Greg Norman, and various wellness and recreational facilities.

A Bold Marketing Strategy

Jaypee Greens’ luxury offer aims to attract high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) with an affinity for opulence and exclusivity. By pairing high-end real estate with a luxury vehicle, Jaypee Greens hopes to differentiate itself in the competitive real estate market of Noida.

Officials Blame Pakistan for Pollution

DK Gupta, a senior official from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board in Greater Noida, attributed the increasing air pollution levels to Pakistan. He stated, “This is the first time this year that all three cities of Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad saw ‘very poor’ air quality on the same day. And our neighbouring country – Pakistan – needs to be blamed for this. Increasing instances of stubble burning have been sending toxic smoke across the border,” as reported by TOI.

Gupta emphasized that the rising stubble burning incidents in nearby regions, combined with unfavorable wind conditions, have worsened the situation. He noted that local wind speeds had fallen to zero, resulting in a hazy atmosphere and reducing visibility to 1,000 meters at Palam and 1,500 meters at Safdarjung. Some air quality monitoring stations even reported AQI levels dipping into the severe category.

Delhi’s AQI Remains Poor

On Monday morning, Delhi’s overall air quality showed improvement from the previous day, yet it remained in the ‘very poor’ category, which is hazardous to health. The national capital recorded a 24-hour average AQI of 264 at 6 a.m., nearly 90 points lower than the day before. Despite this improvement, the AQI still fell within the “very poor” classification, according to the IQair website. In Pitampura, the AQI was recorded at 167 at the same time.

Political Blame Game

The deteriorating AQI in Delhi-NCR led to a war of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday. Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta criticized the AAP government for its failure to manage the city’s escalating pollution levels. He asserted that the residents of Delhi are forced to breathe in suffocating air while AAP is preoccupied with “hollow promises and low-level politics.”

Apple’s focus on high-quality audio makes the iPhone Pro series a powerful tool for content creators looking to elevate their audio and video production.

</excerpt>

Kajal Khatri, also known as Lady Don, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Air India crew member Suraj Mann in January. Suraj Mann, 30, was shot dead inside his car outside a gym in Noida by assailants on a motorcycle.

Khatri is accused of orchestrating the murder of Suraj Mann, who was the brother of gangster Parvesh Mann, on the orders of her partner, gangster Kapil Mann. Kapil Mann, currently imprisoned in Delhi’s Mandoli jail, reportedly sought to avenge his father’s death, allegedly under the direction of Parvesh Mann, who is also incarcerated in the same jail.

Following the murder, it was discovered that Suraj Mann had no prior criminal record. Authorities suspect he may have been financially supporting his jailed brother. Senior Delhi Police officer Sanjay Bhatia confirmed that Khatri was apprehended by the crime branch northern range team. “Her real name is Kajal Khatri. She was wanted in connection with the murder and had a ₹25,000 bounty on her head. On January 19, Suraj Mann was killed in Noida on the orders of Kapil Mann. The two individuals who carried out the killing were arrested later. Kajal Khatri, involved in the conspiracy, had been evading arrest. Both Delhi and Noida police were searching for her. This arrest is a significant achievement for the crime branch. We have transferred her to the Noida police,” Bhatia stated.

The officer added that while Kapil Mann is in jail, Kajal Khatri was overseeing his gang’s operations.

A 44-year-old woman recently fell victim to an eSIM scam, losing approximately Rs 27 lakh to fraudsters. Following her complaint, a first information report (FIR) was lodged at the cybercrime police station in Sector 36, Noida. The police registered the case under sections 318(4) (cheating) and 319(2) (cheating by personation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the IT Act on Thursday, September 5, according to Hindustan Times.

Details Of the Scam

Jyotsana Bhatia, a resident of Sector 82 and an employee at a private company, reported that on August 31, she received a WhatsApp call from someone posing as a customer care executive from her telecom provider. The caller informed her about new eSIM features that should be activated in case her phone was ever lost.

According to Vijay Kumar Gautam, station house officer (SHO) of the cybercrime branch, “The suspect asked Bhatia to select the eSIM feature in the SIM’s application and enter a code received via message. As she followed the suspect’s instructions, her mobile number was deactivated immediately.”

Bhatia was told she would receive a new SIM card by September 1. When it didn’t arrive, she contacted customer care and was advised to visit the service center to obtain a duplicate SIM, the SHO added.

Rs 27 Lakh Stolen

After receiving her new SIM card three days later, Bhatia began receiving several messages from her bank. According to her FIR, “The suspect broke my fixed deposit, siphoned off money from two bank accounts, and extended a loan of ₹7.40 lakh in my name without my knowledge.”

The SHO explained that the scammers had altered her email ID, allowing them to access her mobile banking services via her mobile number. “They siphoned off around ₹27 lakh in multiple transactions,” he added.

</excerpt>

A 29-year-old non-resident Indian (NRI) is turning to Reddit for advice on relocating back to India, citing job insecurity in the UK. The individual, who previously lived in NCR and Bengaluru, is exploring cities in India where they could continue working in IT remotely or locally. Cities like Noida, Lucknow, Patna, and Jamshedpur are considered, though the user finds major metros like Bangalore, Gurgaon, Delhi, and Mumbai too costly.

Budget Concerns and Property Expectations

The Reddit user is curious if ₹1.25 crore would be sufficient to buy property and settle in the Hindi belt, while still having funds remaining. The concern extends to whether adjusting to life in a Tier II city would be challenging compared to a metropolitan area.

Netizens Offer Diverse Recommendations

Responses from Redditors suggest several Tier II cities as viable options. Pune is recommended for its affordability and IT job opportunities, with a user suggesting renting as a cost-effective solution. Vadodara in Gujarat is highlighted for its affordable property prices, with a 2 BHK costing between ₹25-30 lakh.

HAVE A LOOK AT THE POST:

Is 1.25 CR enough to settle in India? Which city would be the cheapest to live in?
byu/Witty-Feedback-5051 inpersonalfinanceindia

For a unique lifestyle, some users recommend a nomadic approach—renting small apartments in Rishikesh, Goa, and Ladakh depending on the season. Kolkata also makes the list, praised for its inexpensive housing options and low cost of living.

Comparing Property Markets in Major Cities

The comparison of property markets across India’s top cities reveals significant differences:

Mumbai: ₹1 crore can buy a compact 1 BHK apartment (about 400 square feet) in suburbs like Dahisar and Mulund. Studio apartments, though limited, are also available in this price range.

Bengaluru: With ₹1 crore, buyers can secure a Grade A 1 BHK or 2 BHK unit ranging from 600 to 1,200 square feet in areas such as Electronic City and Whitefield.

Delhi-NCR: This budget allows for a 1,000-square-foot 2 BHK in Noida or a 1,350-square-foot 3 BHK in Greater Noida.

Kolkata: ₹1 crore offers substantial purchasing power, potentially buying a 2,000-square-foot 4 BHK in the northern part of the city or a 1,500-square-foot 3 BHK in South Kolkata.

The choice between Tier II cities and major metros depends on personal preferences and financial considerations. While major cities offer bustling environments and better infrastructure, Tier II cities provide affordable living options with a potentially more relaxed lifestyle.

In a video shared by Alakh Pandey, the humble setting of Sunny’s room was revealed, with its walls covered in study notes, a testament to his tireless effort and focus. Pandey expressed his admiration for Sunny’s achievement, highlighting the young man’s perseverance in the face of adversity.

A Passion for Medicine

Sunny’s interest in the medical field was sparked by his curiosity about how medicines work and how people are cured. “Seeing medicines sparked my interest. I wanted to understand how people get better, so I chose Biology,” he explained. His passion for medicine drove him to prepare for the NEET exam, despite the long hours spent working at his stall.

Sunny’s story is a powerful reminder that one’s current circumstances do not define their future. “Selling samosas won’t define my future,” Sunny asserted, emphasizing his determination to achieve his dreams.

Support from Physics Wallah

Sunny has been a student at Physics Wallah since the 11th grade, and his hard work did not go unnoticed. Moved by Sunny’s struggles and success, Alakh Pandey offered him a scholarship worth ₹6 lakh and promised to cover his medical college tuition fees. This support will undoubtedly help Sunny focus on his studies as he moves forward in his journey to becoming a doctor.

Sunny Kumar’s story is a beacon of hope and motivation for countless students facing similar challenges, proving that with determination, hard work, and a little support, anything is possible.

In June, Bahadur Singh Parihar, president of the Jhansi Truckers’ Union, received a fine of Rs 1,000 for allegedly driving an Audi without a helmet. The challan incorrectly listed the vehicle as a two-wheeler while referring to it as a “motor car.” Parihar chose to wear a helmet while driving to avoid further fines and was advised by RTO officials to wait for a resolution post-Lok Sabha elections.

A Misunderstanding Over Helmet Requirement

According to NDTV, the fine was issued for a supposed helmet violation, which Saxena finds confusing because helmets are not a standard requirement for car drivers. The challan, issued last November, has since prompted multiple follow-ups from the authorities through emails and additional messages. The Noida police have warned Saxena that failure to pay the fine could result in a court appearance.

Saxena, who purchased his white Hyundai in March last year, has expressed disbelief at the fine. “If you are violating traffic rules, then it is common to receive a fine but that is not my case. I have never driven my car to the NCR area. And if there’s any rule that says we have to wear a helmet inside a car, then the authorities must give this to me in writing,” Saxena told NDTV.

Previous Incidents of Misplaced Fines

This incident is not an isolated case.

A similar mistake occurred in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, in 2017, where a man was fined for not wearing a helmet while driving his Maruti Omni minivan. These incidents highlight an ongoing issue with traffic fines and enforcement.

Residents of Greater Noida West, located about 50 kilometers from Delhi, continue to struggle with elevator malfunctions despite the introduction of a new law by the Uttar Pradesh government aimed at improving lift maintenance.

WATCH THE VIDEO:

A boy was trapped for over an hour in a malfunctioning lift at Saviour GreenArch society, Greater Noida West, late Sunday. He was rescued after technicians from the maintenance department arrived.#NoidaLift #BoytrappedinNoidalift #Greenarchsocietylift #GreaterNoidalift pic.twitter.com/Im5rl1fLmw

The latest incident occurred last night at Greenarch Society, where a boy became trapped in an lift for nearly an hour. The residential complex’s technical staff had to use an iron rod to force the elevator doors open and rescue him.

Elevator malfunctions have become a frequent issue in Noida and its surrounding areas. In a similar incident in May, a man was trapped in a lift for almost 30 minutes at La Residentia in Greater Noida. A video captured two individuals prying the elevator doors open and inserting a stick to allow air to flow, as the man inside was struggling to breathe.

Earlier that same week, another incident occurred at the Paras Tierea residential complex in Noida Sector 137, where the brakes of a lift failed, causing it to crash into the roof of the top floor. Three people inside the elevator were injured.

In response to the growing number of elevator-related incidents, the Uttar Pradesh government introduced a new law earlier this year. The law mandates that building authorities equip elevators with rescue devices, CCTV cameras, and emergency alarms to ensure safety. However, despite these legal measures, incidents of elevator malfunctions continue to surface in Noida, raising concerns about the effectiveness of enforcement and maintenance practices in the region.

</excerpt>

The Dassault Maintenance and Repair Organisation, India (DAMROI), is opening a new maintenance hub in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This facility will provide a major boost to the Indian Air Force (IAF) by servicing their Mirage-2000 and Rafale fighter jets, offering quicker and more affordable turnaround times.

Benefits for the Indian Air Force

– Faster Service: The new hub will allow the IAF to have its Mirage-2000 and Rafale fighters serviced locally in Noida, rather than sending them to France. This will speed up maintenance and reduce costs.
– Current Fleet: The IAF operates around 50 Mirage-2000 fighters and recently acquired two squadrons of 36 Rafales. More Rafales may be purchased in the future as the IAF plans to expand its fleet.

Wider Impact

– Support for Friendly Nations: Countries that also operate Mirage-2000 and Rafale fighters, like Greece, Egypt, and Qatar, will now have the option to get their aircraft serviced in Noida instead of France.
– Industrial Growth: DAMROI’s new hub is expected to spur the development of a local industrial ecosystem, creating jobs in aviation and related sectors. This initiative comes as part of a broader push to attract international investment and encourage more companies to set up Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities in India.

The DAMROI facility marks a significant step forward in India’s defense capabilities and could set a precedent for other global aviation companies to establish MRO operations in the country.
