Body Parts Found on Mumbai Beach Lead Police to Suspect in Murder Case

Mumbai Police have arrested a man, Mohammad Sattar, in connection with a murder after dismembered body parts were found on Gorai beach. The investigation began when a male body, cut into seven pieces, was discovered on the beach, prompting police to form a special team to identify the victim and track down the suspect.

According to officials, the accused was located in Bhayandar slums and confessed to the crime. Police revealed that the accused and the victim had consumed alcohol together before the incident. Sattar then allegedly slit the victim’s throat, packed the body parts into plastic bags and a paint box, and transported them to Gorai Beach in an auto-rickshaw to dispose of them. Further investigation is ongoing.

Lady Don’ In Noida Murder Case Arrested, Allegedly Running Jailed Partner’s Gang

Kajal Khatri, also known as Lady Don, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Air India crew member Suraj Mann in January. Suraj Mann, 30, was shot dead inside his car outside a gym in Noida by assailants on a motorcycle.

Khatri is accused of orchestrating the murder of Suraj Mann, who was the brother of gangster Parvesh Mann, on the orders of her partner, gangster Kapil Mann. Kapil Mann, currently imprisoned in Delhi’s Mandoli jail, reportedly sought to avenge his father’s death, allegedly under the direction of Parvesh Mann, who is also incarcerated in the same jail.

Following the murder, it was discovered that Suraj Mann had no prior criminal record. Authorities suspect he may have been financially supporting his jailed brother. Senior Delhi Police officer Sanjay Bhatia confirmed that Khatri was apprehended by the crime branch northern range team. “Her real name is Kajal Khatri. She was wanted in connection with the murder and had a ₹25,000 bounty on her head. On January 19, Suraj Mann was killed in Noida on the orders of Kapil Mann. The two individuals who carried out the killing were arrested later. Kajal Khatri, involved in the conspiracy, had been evading arrest. Both Delhi and Noida police were searching for her. This arrest is a significant achievement for the crime branch. We have transferred her to the Noida police,” Bhatia stated.

The officer added that while Kapil Mann is in jail, Kajal Khatri was overseeing his gang’s operations.

Ex Bangladesh Cricket Captain Shakib Al Hasan Accused In Murder Case Linked To July Unrest

Delhi Man Murders Father Over Property Dispute, Upset Over Favoring Brother

A retired 72-year-old man, formerly an MTNL mechanic, was allegedly stabbed to death by his son in a property dispute in New Ashok Nagar, East Delhi area on Saturday morning, according to police.

The victim, Gautam Thakur, was attacked by his younger son, Mahesh Thakur, who was reportedly upset over his father’s financial support to his elder brother for buying a property.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Apurva Gupta stated that during interrogation, Mahesh revealed that he had discovered his father’s plan to sell their current residence without informing him. This sale was to benefit the elder son. Additionally, Mahesh felt betrayed because his father had sold another property two years ago and used the proceeds to help his elder brother purchase a property in New Ashok Nagar, leaving Mahesh without any support.

Feeling wronged, Mahesh planned and carried out the murder while the rest of the family was asleep, Gupta added.

The police responded to a PCR call about the stabbing and found Gautam Thakur dead in his bedroom on the first floor of the house, with stab wounds in his abdomen. The PCR call was made by Mahesh himself.

Upon his confession, Mahesh was arrested, and the alleged murder weapon, a large kitchen knife, was recovered from a water tank on the roof of a neighboring house where he had disposed of it, police said.

Gautam Thakur, who retired from MTNL in 2012, resided on the first floor of the house with his two sons and their families.

All family members were present in the house during the incident, Gupta noted. Initially, Mahesh claimed to have seen two men leaving the house after the incident, but this account is being verified.

During the initial investigation, several inconsistencies and discrepancies were found in Mahesh’s story, the DCP added.

Bengaluru: Minor Boy Arrested In BBA Student Murder Case

Bengaluru police arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with a recent murder case involving a BBA student who was found dead in her apartment. The minor boy allegedly killed the victim and staged it as a suicide, said police.

The accused allegedly took ₹2,000 from the victim, Prabuddha, to pay for his friend’s damaged eyeglasses. When Prabuddha learned of the theft, she confronted the perpetrator and demanded that he give her money back. In addition, she threatened to tell his parents if he failed to repay the money.

In a panic, the accused begged Prabuddha to keep the theft a secret from everyone. The victim unintentionally slid and fell to the ground, losing consciousness while the accused was pleading. The accused chose to stage suicide after becoming even more terrified. He allegedly cut her wrist and neck with a knife he discovered in the house. He cleaned the bloodstains and placed the body inside the bathroom in an attempt to absolve himself of the murder. In addition, he left suicide notes throughout the house.

The accused then made his way to the terrace via the rear door of the residence. Then, to avoid being photographed by security cameras, he relocated to the terraces of several homes.

However, while investigating the case, police found the boy moving in one of the CCTV cameras and inquired about him. Upon questioning, the boy, who is the brother of the victim’s friend, confessed to the crime.

CBI investigation to be ordered into murder of INLD’s Haryana chief Nafe Singh Rathee, : Home Minister Anil Vij

The Haryana government, as announced by state Home Minister Anil Vij in the assembly, is set to initiate a CBI investigation into the killing of INLD’s Haryana chief Nafe Singh Rathee. In the assembly, Vij was quoted as saying, “If the House is only satisfied with a CBI probe, then I assure the members that we will hand over the case to the CBI.”

The former MLA Rathee and a party worker were fatally shot by unidentified assailants in Jhajjar on Sunday, while traveling in their SUV in Bahadurgarh town. Additionally, three private gunmen hired by Rathee for security also sustained injuries in the attack.

In response to the opposition Congress raising concerns about Rathee’s murder during the assembly session, the Haryana assembly speaker admitted an adjournment motion on law and order. The Congress demanded an investigation into the incident either by a high court judge or a high court judge-monitored CBI probe.

Following the Question Hour, Congress members pressed for a discussion on law and order. On Monday, the Haryana Police filed charges against former Haryana MLA Naresh Kaushik and 11 others in connection with Rathee’s killing.

Rathee’s family has taken a firm stand, refusing to cremate his body until the perpetrators are apprehended. Rathee’s son, Jitendra, expressed dissatisfaction with the police administration, stating, “My family and I are not getting security. My father was demanding security for five years. My father was a national leader. All political parties should have supported my father before he was murdered.”

The slain INLD leader’s nephew, Kapoor, affirmed, “We will not conduct a post-mortem until the accused are arrested. We have again gotten the names of those people.”

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar assured on Sunday that no culprit involved in the case would be spared. He instructed the police to swiftly arrest the accused and take the strictest action.

Sister shot sister while making TikTok video in Pakistan!

A 14 year old girl fatally shots her sister while filming TikTok video in Sarai Alamgir town, located in Punjab’s Gujrat district, as reported by ARY News.

TikTok is a social media platform that allows users to create and post video content. As per the reports, while the two sisters, Saba Afzal and Maria Afzal were filming a video for the same, they got into an argument after which 14 year old Saba lost her temptr and fatally shot her sister Maria.

The tragic incident is a reflection of a similar tragedy occurred in December when three youngsters died while filming a TikTok video near Sheikhupura district.

The individuals, who were residents of Khanqah Dogran city in Safdarabad Tehsil, met with a tragic accident while recording a TikTok video on a motorcycle. Regrettably, the collision occurred when their attention was diverted, leading to a head-on collision with a car approaching from the opposite direction. This unfortunate incident resulted in the untimely demise of all three young individuals.

On December 24, Jamia Binora Town, a prestigious school in Karachi the capital of Sindh province, issued a fatwa (a religious decree) announcing the use of TikTok illegal and ‘haram’ claiming that it is one of the most distracting thing to exist today. He termed it as the biggest temptation of the modern era, Pakistani vernacular media reported.

An online fatwa issued by Jamia Binoria declares TikTok as a growing threat, branding it ‘fitna’ (temptation) in the contemporary era and deeming it illegal and haram according to Shariah. The fatwa outlines several reasons for its prohibition, including the app’s incorporation of images and videos featuring animals, which is considered forbidden in Sharia. Additionally, the creation and dissemination of explicit videos by women on the platform are highlighted as reasons for its prohibition.

Moreover, the fatwa condemns the practice of both men and women on TikTok producing videos involving dancing and singing, viewing it as a means of promoting obscenity and nudity, ultimately seen as a waste of time leading to moral decay. Jamia Banoria’s fatwa emphasizes that TikTok not only hosts videos that mock scholars and religion but serves as a platform where anything can be subjected to mockery and ridicule.

Religious scholars in the past have consistently called for a ban on TikTok due to its perceived role in spreading immorality, leading to intermittent partial bans in Pakistan. In 2021, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority imposed a five-month ban on TikTok from July to November, which was lifted after assurances from TikTok to implement measures controlling indecent or immoral content on the platform.

Sonali Phogat murder case: Prime accused granted bail

Sudhir Sangwan, the main suspect in the murder of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politician Sonali Phogat in Haryana last year, has been granted bail by a court in Goa. In August of last year, Phogat, 43, passed away in the Goan beach town of Anjuna after a night of drinking with her two friends, both of whom were suspected of giving her illegal substances.

Sangwan was granted bail by the district and sessions court on Friday and was told to post a Rs 1 lakh bail bond. According to a lawyer for him, the court further ordered him to appear every Friday before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and to refrain from leaving the state. The Goa police detained Sangwan and his accomplice Sukhwinder Singh in relation to the crime last year. In November last year, the CBI filed a 1,000-page chargesheet in this case.

25 persons sentenced life imprisonment by local court in Chhattisgarh

A local court in Chhattisgarh’s Janjgir-Champa district has sentenced 25 people, including three women, to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of a man.

The court of II Additional and Sessions Judge, Janjgir-Champa Pallavi Tiwari, has convicted 25 persons in connection with the murder of Terasram and awarded them life imprisonment, said Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Vishal Tiwari on Saturday. According to the APP, the court has convicted Jageshwar Rao (18), Manish Singh (21), Krishna Kumar (36), Mukesh Yadav (22), Suresh Kumar Kanwar (36), Jageshwar Kenwat (20), Anuradha Bai (40), Geeta Bai Maratha (50), Prahlad Rao (32), Paleshwar (23), Rahul Singh (27), Pyarelal (26), Shani Kenwat (50), Ashant Rao (50), Yogesh Kumar (19), Ramgopal (32), Ganeshram (29), Ganeshwar Rao (21), Mukundram (19), Sukrut Rao (25), Parmila Singh (45), Parmanand Kenwat (39), Pradeepram (23), Shivnarayan (37), all residents of Janjgir-Champa district, for thrashing Terasram to death.

Moreover, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 11,500 on each convict. “The incident was a fallout of political enmity,” added the officer.

As per the prosecution, on June 12, 2020, Terasram was thrashed to death by convicts at village Lachanpur under Janjgir police station limits, following which an offence in this connection was registered under separate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and a probe was launched.

SC stays Telangana HC order on YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case

On Monday, The Supreme Court directed the CBI not to arrest Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy till Monday, however, it issued notice on a plea challenging Telangana HC order in a matter connected to Reddy murder case.
A bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud issued notice on the appeal challenging the Telangana HC order granting interim relief from arrest to Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case. The top court also stayed the Telangana High Court’s order.
The court was hearing former minister and MP’s daughter Narreddy Sunitha’s plea challenging the Telangana High Court order dated 18 April.
The top court remarked that such kind of order is unacceptable.
The court also issued notice to the respondent in the matter and listed the matter for further hearing on 24 April.
Avinash Reddy is being quizzed by CBI in the matter relating to the Vivekananda Reddy murder case.
CBI took over the investigation in July 2020 on the orders of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. The case was earlier registered at Police Station Pulivendula in Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh).
A month before the General elections in 2019, Vivekananda Reddy, a former MP, was found murdered at his residence in Pulivendula on 15 March.

Lakshadweep MP jailed to 10 years in attempt to murder case

Mohammad Faizal, a member of the Nationalist Congress Party who has been serving as the Union Territory’s representative in Parliament since 2014, was given a 10-year prison term on Wednesday by a court in Kavaratti, Lakshadweep, in a case involving a 2009 attempt to murder.
After finding four of the 23 accused guilty in the case, the court suspended the bail for Faizal and three other accused. For assaulting his relative Mohammad Salih, Faizal was found guilty.

The prosecution claimed that Faizal was the leader of a group who attacked Salih and seriously injured him as a result of a disagreement over the building of a shed. Salih was transferred to Kerala, where he spent months in the hospital.

Faizal was planning to appeal the conviction to the Kerala high court, which has jurisdiction over Lakshadweep, in order to keep his status as a lawmaker.

Faizal was non-responsive right away.

Ankita Bhandari murder case: Harish Rawat stages dharna; demands CBI inquiry

Senior Congress leader and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat stage a dharna demanding a CBI inquiry into Ankita Bhandari’s murder case.

Earlier on 24 September Ankita’s body was recovered from the Chilla canal in Rishikesh. Ankita used to work as a receptionist at a resort run by Pulkit Arya, the son of expelled BJP leader Vinod Arya.

Moreover, for the six days missing report was filed and later police officials found her dead body. In connection with the Ankita Bhandari murder case, Pulkit Arya was arrested for allegedly pushing her into the canal.

However, on 4 December the investigation into the Ankita Bhandari case was completed by the Uttarakhand Police just Narco tests of the accused remained. After which Uttarakhand Police sought permission from the Kotdwar court.

Furthermore, in the Nainital High Court in November Ankita’s mother, Sona Devi and father Virender Singh Bhandari filed a petition. The petition was filed to seek inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the case.

13 arrested in Sanju Tripathi murder case

As many as 13 people have been arrested in the recent killing of Congress leader Sanju Tripathi. Meanwhile, the arrested accused has been identified as Kapil Tripathi and his main aide Prem Shrivas from Prayagraj. Some accused who have been arrested are Jai Narayan Tripathi, Kapil Tripathi’s wife, Bharat Tiwari, and Ashish Tiwari among others. Earlier on 15 December, the murder took place at 4.30 pm over the fallout of a family property dispute.

Uttarakhand Police file charge sheet in Ankita Bhandari murder case

In the Ankita Bhandari murder case, Uttarkhand Police filed a charge sheet against the three persons accused on Saturday. The charge sheet has been filed and submitted before the Kotdwar Judicial Court.

In a joint press conference with the probe in-charge of the Special Investigation Team P Renuka Devi, Additional Director General (ADG) V Murugesan of Uttarakhand Police said, “We are going to file a 500-page chargesheet within 90 days in this case. Around 100 people have been examined in the matter.”

Under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Unethical Business Prevention Act (IBPA) the case has been filed against the accused.

“The chargesheet is being sent to the Hon’ble Court against the three accused under IPC section 302, 201, 120B, 354A, and 5(1)V of the Unethical Business Prevention Act. The Narco test and other points are being discussed in the said incident,” Murugesan said.

Meanwhile, for the six days missing report was filed and later police officials found her dead body. In connection with the Ankita Bhandari murder case, Pulkit Arya was arrested for allegedly pushing her into the canal.

Later in case two more people Ankit Gupta and Saurabh Bhaskar were also arrested. After the incident, the BJP government led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami promptly expelled Vinod Arya.

Moreover, on 4 December the investigation into the Ankita Bhandari case was completed by the Uttarakhand Police just Narco tests of the accused remained. After which Uttarakhand Police sought permission from the Kotdwar court.

“The main accused Pulkit Arya and the second accused Saurabh have given consent for the narco and polygraph tests, however, the third accused Ankit has asked for 10 days time. His application will be heard in the court of Judicial Magistrate Kotdwar on December 22,” Deputy Inspector General (DIG) P Renuka Devi said.

However, in the Nainital High Court in November Ankita’s mother, Sona Devi and father Virender Singh Bhandari filed a petition. The petition was filed to seek inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the case.

Furthermore, against the three accused the Pushkar Singh Dhami government has invoked the Gangster Act.

Shraddha murder case: Saket Court to hear Aaftab’s bail plea on 17 December

The accused Aaftab Poonawalla, in the Shraddha murder case, applied for bail in the Saket court on Friday. The accused filed a bail application in Court No. 303.

Meanwhile, the court has kept the bail application pending till Saturday and will hear the matter on Saturday.

Earlier on Thursday, the Central Forensic Science Laboratory on Thursday confirmed that DNA found from South Delhi’s Mehrauli forest area has been matched from Shraddha Walkar’s father.

Moreover, the investigators were not able to ascertain the bones and blood samples from Aftab Poonawala’s Chhattarpur residence in south Delhi. But after the DNA report, the investigators will get great help to solve the investigation.

Aaftab killed her live-in partner Shraddha and in 35 pieces Aaftab chopped her body. Based on his confession he was arrested in November and on 9 December Aaftab was produced before a court via video conferencing and for 14 days his judicial custody was extended.

“The forensics reports will be out soon. It will help us ascertain if it was Walkar whose bones we have collected or someone else. The DNA extracted from bones and blood samples need to be matched with Walker’s father’s and brother’s samples. Reports on murder weapons are also awaited and we will soon have a breakthrough,” an investigator said.

However, to find the truth police are gathering evidence through psycho-analysis tests, lie-detector, and narco-analysis tests.

“Based on his disclosures we are corroborating scientific evidence with a statement he gave to us. It will be instrumental to the case as his statement alone might not be admissible in court. Multiple teams are in process of collecting evidence that will eventually help us in filing a watertight charge sheet to take this case to conviction,” the officer stated.

SIT to file charge sheet in Ankita Bhandari murder case

A charge sheet will be filed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) against the three accused this week in the Ankita Bhandari murder case.

Delhi Police has approached Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to conduct a polygraph test of the accused, Aftab Amin Ponnawala in the Shraddha Walker murder case.
According to the sources, the test might be conducted today. FSL sources said, “Delhi Police has approached FSL to conduct a Polygraphic test for Shraddha Murder Case accused Aftab. Preparations are underway. The test might be conducted today.”

Officer probing RSS worker’s murder receives death threat, says ‘Keep a coffin ready’

In the alleged murder case of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker Sreenivasan, the investigating officer is receiving threat calls.

Meanwhile, the investigating officer filed the complaint and said, he has been receiving calls where the caller told him that before leaving Palakkad he will face the consequences.

“He asked the probing officer to keep a coffin ready,” police said.

At Palakkad-Town South police station a complaint has been filed.

Moreover, in the killing of an RSS worker so far 34 accused persons have been arrested and all are related to the Popular Front of India (PFI).

Earlier on 16 April Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker, Sreenivasan died after the death of PFI leader Subair.

To probe two cases Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker, Sreenivasan’s death case, and PFI leader Subair’s death case ADGP law and order is heading the teams.

However, 5 years ban has been imposed on the Popular Front of India (PFI) by the Central Government.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) made the announcement and said, “the PFI and its associates or affiliates or fronts as an unlawful association with immediate effect”.

Furthermore, the ban is also imposed on Rehab India Foundation (RIF). Campus Front of India (CFI), All India Imams Council (AIIC), National Confederation of Human Rights Organization (NCHRO), National Women’s Front, Junior Front, Empower India Foundation, and Rehab Foundation.

Both the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Enforcement Directorate received the inputs that, “The PFI has been raising and collecting substantial funds from abroad in a well-organized and structured manner.”

“PFI was raising funds abroad and their transfer to India through clandestine and illegal channels,” the central agencies observed.
