The cyber cell has launched a technical investigation to trace the individual responsible for the social media warning. The Navi Mumbai police responded to the message by requesting the sender’s contact details for further verification and inquiry.

Similar Warning Issued to Delhi Police

The same person reportedly issued a similar warning to the Delhi Police and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, claiming that illegal immigrants could trigger riots or bomb blasts in Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, and Jahangirpuri during Eid. The message also tagged the Delhi and Uttar Pradesh police, though neither department has publicly responded to the warning yet.

Delhi Police had already intensified security measures for Eid celebrations and the last Friday prayers in the eastern district. Authorities have ensured that additional forces are patrolling sensitive areas, and strict monitoring is in place to maintain law and order.

The investigation found out that the fingerprints collected from actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence after an attempted burglary and knife attack do not belong to the accused, Shariful Islam.

According to reports, the Mumbai Police had sent 19 sets of fingerprints from Mr. Khan’s house to the state CID fingerprint bureau. The system-generated report from the CID revealed that the prints did not match Shariful. Reportedly, Mumbai Police submitted extra samples for further check up.

The attack happened on January 15 when an intruder broke into the 54-year-old actor’s house. Chasing the intruder, Mr Khan was stabbed in several places in the body while receiving some severe injuries as one of which he suffered his spine. Thereafter, from Lilavati Hospital, a doctor reported the spillage of his spinal fluid which had come dangerous just 2 millimeters away to his spinal column. Mr Khan though badly injured as per the latest report is already out of his hospital and now resting in the bed for next week.

Shariful Islam, a Bangladeshi national who had entered India illegally, according to reports, tried to commit the burglary as he wanted to raise money for fake citizenship papers promised by a person who is yet unknown. The police are searching for that man now.

Western Railway and Mumbai Police used CCTV footage and a facial recognition system to identify the suspects. Even though Shariful has been nabbed, the investigators are working at gathering conclusive evidence so that a strong case can be prepared against him.

The police say that comedian Kapil Sharma has gotten a death threat over email from Pakistan. Among several famous people—including Rajpal Yadav, Sugandha Mishra, and Remo D’Souza—who have recently been assaulted with identical menacing emails, he is one.

Under Section 351(3) of BNS, an FIR has been filed at the Amboli Police Station against an unidentified individual and an inquiry has started.

Coming from Pakistan, the email announced:

“We think it’s vital we call your attention on a delicate subject. We beg you to take this message with great seriousness and privacy; it is not a publicity stunt or an effort to bother you.
The sender signed off ‘BISHNU.’

Police say the sender required a response from the famous within eight hours; otherwise they would suffer personal and career ramifications.

A legal grievance was submitted by Kapil Sharma with the governmentistributed. Beforehand, Sugandha Mishra and Remo D’Souza also contacted the authorities following receipt of the same email.

Rajpal Yadav, an actor, got a similar email last year on December 14 and on December 17 he filed a police complaint after finding the message in his spam folder. In an audio recording for NDTV, he said in quotes:
I have filed a complaint with the cyber crime division and the Amboli Police. Since then, I have not talked with anyone on it. As an artiste, I wish to captivate viewers with my shows. The agencies can update on these.”

The Mumbai Police is urgently looking into the cases as the threats against prominent people are quite specific.

The complainant, 58-year-old Manohar Govind Sakpal, who operates a transport business and owns 117 buses, hired three men—Vaibhav Ravindra Kumar Sharma, Jitendra Gullu Thadani, and Sunil Gullu Thadani—to sell his buses, which were purchased through bank loans. Sakpal entrusted the trio with the task of selling the buses, settling the bank dues, and obtaining NOCs from the lenders after completing a one-time settlement, according to the Dahisar police station official.

Fraudulent Agreement and Misuse of Funds

The trio entered into an agreement with Sakpal to execute the sale of the buses and handle the bank settlements. They allegedly took ₹23 crore from Sakpal to fulfill these obligations. This case, involving the death of a woman after a luxury car, allegedly driven by the son of a Shiv Sena leader, struck a two-wheeler, is one of the first high-profile cases under the newly introduced BNS, which replaced the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on July 1.

Courtroom Confusion

On Monday, the Mumbai Police faced difficulties when questioned about their application of a specific BNS provision in the BMW hit-and-run case. Mumbai court asked why certain sections had been invoked. The police had applied Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and Section 238 (destruction of evidence). Chief Metropolitan Magistrate SP Bhosale questioned the rationale behind using Section 105.

When asked to explain, the Investigating Officer and other police personnel struggled to provide clear answers. The Magistrate then handed them a copy of the new law and granted a five-minute recess to formulate a response.

Rajesh Shah, his absconding son and primary suspect Mihir Shah, and their family driver Rajrishi Bidawat faced charges under BNS provisions, including Sections 105 and 238. The Mumbai police are looking for a 22-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile girl in Mumbai’s central suburbs. According to the authorities, the accused often followed her to school and harassed her in the roads near her residence. However, in March, the accused reportedly forced her into his home and raped her.

According to police officials, the sexual assault occurred between March 1 and March 15. “The accused is still on the run, and we’re attempting to find him. He comes from the same area as the victim and has stayed in her neighborhood,” an officer stated.

According to the police, the accused has been stalking her for the past few months. She said that he frequently harassed her by following her to school and making comments as she walked through the roads near her house.

“We have learnt that the accused had taken advantage of an area being dark, pulled her inside his house and sexually assaulted her,” a police officer stated.

The girl first refused to tell anyone about her ordeal because he had threatened to hurt her and her family members.

However, when the girl complained of a terrible stomach ache, she was transported to the hospital.

The physicians discovered she was 10 weeks pregnant, and the matter was reported to the police station. “We have filed a complaint for rape, molestation, and criminal intimidation. We have learned that the suspects fled to Uttar Pradesh. We’ll arrest him soon,” the cop stated.

Mumbai Hoarding Collapse: Arrested Accused Bhavesh Bhide brought to Mumbai

The owner of Ego Media, the company behind the large billboard that collapsed in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area amid strong winds and rain earlier this week, resulting in 16 deaths and 75 injuries, was brought to Mumbai early Friday for further legal action, according to the police.

Bhavesh Bhide, the owner of the company responsible for the installation of the massive billboard, was arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on Thursday.

“Owner (of the company that put up the billboard) Bhavesh Bhinde, who was arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch from Udaipur, has been brought to Mumbai,” a police officer confirmed on Friday.

“As many as 16 people are confirmed dead and another 75 injured in the billboard collapse in Ghatkopar,” an officer stated earlier.

Expressing sorrow over the tragedy, Bhushan Gagrani, the commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), announced on Thursday that the rescue operation had been completed.

“It’s saddening that 16 lives were lost in this incident. The rescue operation has been completed. The operation was delayed as there is a running fuel station in the area,” Gagrani said.

Earlier, the Mumbai Police registered a case under IPC sections 304, 338, 337, and 34 against Bhavesh Bhide and others at the Pantnagar police station.

On May 13, the billboard in Ghatkopar collapsed amid strong winds, resulting in 16 fatalities and leaving many others trapped underneath.

The mysterious death of Prabhas Bhange, a 24-year-old who had come to Mumbai to celebrate Holi with friends, took a new turn when Mumbai police apprehended a man attempting to snatch a commuter’s mobile phone on a local train. Bhange had been travelling from Mumbai to Pune on the Siddheshwar Express in March when he met his untimely demise by falling from the train as it arrived at Vithalwadi Railway Station.

The incident remained unsolved until the police caught a man attempting to snatch a commuter’s phone on a local train. The snatcher’s face was captured on video by Zahid Zaidi, who managed to fend him off. The video, uploaded on social media, led the Kalyan Government Railway Police (GRP) to identify the culprit as Akash Jadhav, 27.

During the search of Jadhav’s residence, another mobile phone was found, which upon examination, was discovered to belong to Bhange. Further investigation revealed that Jadhav had allegedly snatched Bhange’s phone as well, leading to the latter’s fatal fall from the train while attempting to retrieve his device.

Consequently, the Mumbai police registered a case against Jadhav for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, and he was arrested in connection with Bhange’s death.

On Friday, Mumbai police revealed that two individuals apprehended in Punjab and transferred to Mumbai’s Crime Branch custody signify a substantial development in the investigation of the shooting incident outside the residence of Bollywood icon Salman Khan.

The accused are reported to have supplied firearms to the individuals who carried out the shooting outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra.
Authorities from the esteemed National Investigation Agency (NIA) stated on Friday that they interrogated the gunmen, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, for an extended period.

As per the Mumbai Police, the two individuals arrived in the city on Thursday under transit remand facilitated by the Crime Branch. Significant insights were gleaned from the suspects during their interrogation. This development follows the extension of their police custody until April 29 by the Esplanade Court.

Previously, the Crime Branch asserted possessing compelling evidence implicating gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi as the masterminds behind the attack. Designated as the primary accused, the Bishnoi siblings, along with two other individuals, were formally charged in the case.

According to officials from the Mumbai Crime Branch, thorough surveillance was conducted in the vicinity of Salman Khan’s farmhouse and residence before the shooting incident. The assailants extensively monitored the property, conducting multiple rounds of surveillance, before executing their plan outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.

Further investigation led to the discovery of a damaged mobile phone possibly containing pertinent conversations related to the incident in possession of the accused. Moreover, a pistol, along with magazines and bullets, was recovered from the Tapi River in Surat, shedding light on the criminal’s tactics for disposing of evidence.

Social media posts, particularly a Facebook statement attributed to Anmol Bishnoi claiming responsibility for the incident, served as confirmation of the involvement of the Bishnoi brothers.

Additional charges under IPC sections 506(2), 115, and 201 have been incorporated into the legal proceedings, underscoring the gravity of the allegations against the defendants. Mumbai Crime Branch officials are intensifying their efforts to apprehend the individuals sought and gather further pertinent evidence for the ongoing investigation.
