Addressing the gathering, Akhilesh Yadav paid tribute to the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and described him as a towering figure in Indian politics. He said, “Netaji’s vision and leadership continue to inspire millions. This statue stands as a symbol of his contributions to the state and the nation.”

Strongly accredited as “Netaji” to his fans, Mulayam Singh Yadav was the founder of the Samajwadi Party, established in 1992, and was a strong element defining the political scenario of Uttar Pradesh. His grassroots connections combined with social justice focus made him a dominant force until his death.

The Samajwadi Party president slammed the Yogi Adityanath government and said the police had been briefed not to allow SP workers to vote in Mainpuri, Rampur constituencies. “Police had been deployed to stop party supporters from coming to our meeting…Central forces have been deployed but are being guided by local police,” said Yadav as he alleged the UP police “is biased and misleading central forces”.

Further criticising Raghuraj Singh Shakya, he claimed that the BJP hired an SP candidate since they lacked a candidate in Mainpuri. He expressed confidence in holding the seat from which his wife is running by saying, “We will win in Mainpuri since Netaji worked for Mainpuri.

Dimple Yadav, former MP and wife of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will be contesting from Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat post party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav’s demise. The bypoll is scheduled to be held on 5 December and the results will be out on 8 December along with assembly polls in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

“The party declares Dimple Yadav as party candidate of Mainpuri bypoll,” Samajwadi Party said in a tweet.

Mulayam Singh Yadav died last month following prolonged illness had won the seat of Mainpuri in 2019. Since 1996, Samajwadi Party has won every Lok Sabha poll in Mainpuri. In 2004, he won it four consecutive times.

Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party and a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, will be laid to rest on Tuesday at his ancestral home in the Etawah district town of Saifai.

At Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital, Mulayam Singh passed away on Monday morning at the age of 82 from ailments associated with ageing. Following a decline in his health, he was brought to the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) last Sunday. Akhilesh and Prateek, his two sons, are still living. The burial was anticipated to be attended by a number of chief ministers and Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

According to sources, the chief minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, and his counterpart from Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, will represent the Congress at the veteran of the Samajwadi Party’s cremation.

Mallikarjun Kharge, a veteran leader in the Congress, will attend the burial on Tuesday as well. Kharge won’t take over as the party’s official leader because he is running for party president.

Gujarat: PM Modi inaugurates multiple development projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects in Gujarat on Monday. PM Modi also lauded the Bharuch region’s progress over the years.

“Bharuch’s contribution to the progress of Gujarat and the country is very important. Once Bharuch was known only for salted peanuts, today it is flourishing in industry and trade,” PM Modi said.

Australia’s envoy Barry O’Farrell extends condolence over the demise of Mulayam Singh Yadav

Rajnath Singh, Union Ministers express condolences over ‘Netaji’s’ passing away

Several Union ministers, including defence Minister Rajnath Singh, offered their condolences on Monday following the passing of Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and praised the senior politician’s contributions to Indian politics.

The defence minister said Mulayam Singh had “the best relations” with everyone. “Despite being hostile in politics, Mulayam Singh ji had the best relations with everyone. He used to talk with an open heart on different subjects. My interactions with him on various occasions will always remain fresh in my memory. My condolences to his family and supporters in this hour of grief,” Rajnath Singh tweeted.

In a different tweet, he described Mulayam Singh as a politician who spent many years in the spotlight in the state of Uttar Pradesh and who strived to advance the nation, society, and state. He said, “His death is painful.

Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju said he was “saddened” by the demise of the SP patriarch. “Very saddened by the sad demise of Samajwadi Party patriarch and former CM of UP Sh #MulayamSinghYadav ji. He was a mass grassroot leader. Extending my deepest condolences to his family. I pray for his departed soul. Om Shanti,” Rijiju said.

Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said Mulayam Singh’s death is an “irreparable loss” to politics.

The seasoned politician had been associated with state politics for a very long period. Over the course of his five-decade career, he witnessed numerous ups and downs at UP. He was affectionately referred to as “Netaji” because of his extensive knowledge of state affairs.

A three-day state mourning was announced by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath following the death of Former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav. Yogi termed the death of the veteran politician as an “irreparable loss”, Yogi Adityanath said that the last rites of the veteran politician will be held with full state honours.

After a protracted illness, Mulayam Singh Yadav, who had previously served as both India’s defence minister and the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, passed away on Monday at the age of 82. He was recieving medical attemtion at Gurugram’s Medanta hodpitsl when he was moved to the ICU last week.

The office of Samajwadi party president Akhilesh Yadav, his son, announced that the last rites of the Samajwadi party patriarch will be held at Saifai, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s ancestral village in Uttar Pradesh.

Akhilesh Yadav, the SP chief quoted in his statement, “My respected father has passed away.”

Mulayam Singh’s condition is critical, on life-saving drugs

Mulayam Singh, Uttar Pradesh’s former CM and Samajwadi Party founder is quite critical on Sunday. He is admitted in the ICU of Medanta hospital, Gurugram and is maintaining vitals on life-saving drugs, according to the hospital.

Mulayam Singh Yadav is being treated by a comprehensive team of specialists, Dr Sanjeev Gupta, medical director of Medanta Hospital, said.

The party tweeted,”Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav ji is quite critical today and on life saving drugs, he is being tretaed in the ICU of the Medanta hospital, Gurgaon by a comprehensive team of specialists.”

Mulayam SinghYdav has been under treatment at the hospital since August 22. He has not been well after the death of his wife in July.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Sigh visited the hospital on Friday to ask after him.

Mulayam Singh Yadav on life saving drugs, still critical

Yadav, 82, has been receiving medical care since August. On Sunday, his condition began to worsen, and as a result, he was transferred to the ICU at Medanta Hospital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier on Sunday asked Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav about the condition of his father Mulayam Singh Yadav. According to reports, PM Modi assured of all possible assistance.
