On Thursday, Vijay shared the trailer of his film on X, captioning it “This summer. In just one week celebrate, laugh, cheer, relive, and have a great time in the theaters.”

Mrunal Thakur to pair up with Vijay Deverakonda for her next film

Actor Mrunal Thakur will appear with South superstar Vijay Deverakonda in her next VD13-titled Telugu movie. This would be Mrinal’s third Telugu feature, after Sita Ramam with Dulquer Salmaan and debut director Shouryuv’s unnamed project starring Nani in 2022.

The movie, which will be directed by Parasuram Petla, is now without a name but will shortly start production. According to sources, the muhurat for the movie was held on June 14 in Hyderabad. The film’s creative producer will be Vasu Varma, with Dil Raju and Sirish serving as co-producers.

Mrunal started her acting career on TV while she was studying in college and later got the lead role in ‘Mujhse Kuchh Kehti Yeh Khamoshiyaan’. After that, she signed the most popular show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and also appeared as a contestant on ‘ ‘Box Cricket League 1’ and ‘Nach Baliye 7’.

‘I want to even work in other languages’ says Mrunal Thakur

After the success of the Telugu debut movie, Sita Ramam Mrunal Thakur has instilled new confidence and shifted her focus down South.

“As an actor, you need to be language and platform agnostic. You cannot park yourself in a segment or section. That’s when your growth is stagnant. I will continue to be part of Hindi films as much as I will also seek and hope to work in films in the south. I have made my Telugu debut and there’s so much more to be offered and explored. I want to even work in other languages, someday even helm a strong Marathi film too,” Thakur said.

“I want to work with visionary directors and be part of their filmography. There are so many meaningful films happening there and I do hope to be part of films that will enrich me as an actor. Who has always been ahead of the curve and has led by example,” the Jersey actor said.

Meanwhile, Thakur is ready to do cinema in southern languages for any platform but she will see how relevant the character is.

Moreover, in recent years South Indian movies including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam language have stolen audiences and they love to watch them.

“Good content will survive anywhere. It may be a phase but I’m certain and I know there are some great Hindi films that are upcoming and will drive the audiences back. Similarly so much great storytelling has happened in the last two years on OTT, one should also acknowledge that and know that this was a wave of change and wave of great writing and content that was led by the Hindi film industry,” Mrunal said.

Pippa trailer out, shows a glimpse of 1971 Indo-Pak war

Pippa, starring Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur, is set to open in theaters.The makers released the new trailer on the occasion of the nation’s 75^th independence day. The movie is set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

Raja Krishna Menon has helmed the movie, and other actors, including Soni Razdan and Priyanshu Painyuli, will also be seen on screen with Ishan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur.

In the one-minute trailer, Shaan is seen portraying Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, a former member of the 45th Cavalry Tank Squadron who fought for Bangladesh.

In a film full of strong emotions and brutal battle sequences, Ishaan plays a young military hero who commands soldiers to liberate then-Eastern Pakistan.The first scene of the warm drama strikes the perfect note with phrases like “Joy Bangla,” the well-known battle cry of the liberation war. Soni and Mrunal, who will be seen as Ishaan’s mother and sibling, respectively, were also given a brief appearance.
