A minor girl was allegedly raped and murdered in North East Delhi’s Dayalpur area. Police teams are actively searching for the person responsible, as outrage spreads over the brutal crime.

In a chilling incident that has shocked the capital, a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered in the Dayalpur area of North East Delhi on Saturday evening.

According to police, a PCR call was received at 8:41 PM from Nehru Vihar. Officers arrived at the scene after the victim’s father had already taken her to the hospital. Doctors declared her dead upon arrival and noticed many visible injuries on her face, suggesting a sexual assault.

Investigation Underway

Following the medical report, a case was opened and a thorough investigation began.The police teams from local units, crime branch and the forensic team have been dispatched to investigate the scene and collect evidence.

Multiple police units have been sent out to locate the accused. The case has been made top priority due to its seriousness and the victim’s age.

The officials have not released the minor’s identify, as per the Supreme Court guidelines that protect children’ privacy in sexual assault cases.

Minor Delhi Boy Kidnapped And Raped, Locals Protest Outside Police Station

A team of Delhi police faced violent resistance from locals in the Govind Puri area while attempting to arrest a man accused of raping a minor child. The incident occurred after the police were called to the area on September 3, following allegations made by the child’s family against their neighbor.

The situation began on September 1 when a 6-year-old boy was kidnapped, prompting the police to launch a search operation. The minor was eventually located and placed under the care of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). However, just two days later, the police received a PCR call at 7:30 in the evening reporting the rape of the same child.

When officers attempted to escort the accused, a 35-year-old man, from the area, they were met with hostility from a large crowd. “Some of the ladies even tried to attack the accused and cops,” reported the police. Despite the commotion, the officers managed to bring the accused to the Govind Puri Police Station, where he was charged under Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

As the police returned to the station, a crowd gathered at the gate, demanding justice and expressing anger. The officers reassured the crowd that strict action would be taken against the accused. They also mentioned that “politically motivated persons caused a nuisance and made the crowd to jam the traffic at Sri Lal Chowk Govind Puri for about 10 minutes.”

To restore order, ACP/Kalkaji, SHO Okhla, Kalkaji, and Amar Colony, along with their staff, arrived on the scene. “Some locals and police managed to normalise the situation,” they added.

Further investigation into the case is ongoing.

Maharashtra police Arrested three for Kidnapping, Raping 13-year-old girl

Maharashtra Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the kidnapping and rape of a 13-year-old girl. The arrests were made following an investigation led by the Washim Police.

Washim Superintendent of Police, Anuj Tare, stated, “An FIR was lodged on August 21 reporting the kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl. On August 22, the girl was found. Based on her statement and medical examination, it was confirmed that she was raped. All three accused named by the victim have been arrested.” Further investigation into the case is ongoing.

In a separate incident, the Kalyan Court on Monday sent an accused in the Badlapur sexual assault case to 14-day judicial custody. The accused was previously in police custody. The case involves the alleged sexual assault of two fourth-grade girls by a school attendant, which led to widespread outrage in the region.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) handling the Badlapur case has also registered an FIR against the school authorities for failing to report the crime as mandated by Section 19 of the POCSO Act. The authorities have been booked under Section 21 of the Act for their negligence in not informing the police, as confirmed by the SIT.

Bareilly Man Sentenced To 7 Years For Kidnapping, Raping Wife When She Was 13

In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a 30-year-old man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor who is now his wife, dating back to 2015.

The victim was 13 years old at the time of the alleged kidnapping, which led to a case filed by her father against the man, who was in his twenties then.

“The court examined seven prosecution witnesses. Both the complainant and the victim did not support the prosecution’s version and were declared hostile,” stated defence counsel Mohammad Firoz.

According to the initial complaint lodged by the girl’s father, he accused distant relatives of being involved in his daughter’s kidnapping.

During the investigation, police conducted searches across multiple locations. Nearly six months later, the girl was found, and the accused was subsequently arrested.

“The girl’s statement was recorded by the police and a magistrate. Based on her statement, the police filed rape charges against the young man,” explained advocate Mohammad Firoz.

“The girl stated that she had gone with the young man of her own volition,” added advocate Mohammad Firoz.

Byculla police detained a 22-year-old kickboxing trainer on Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl on several occasions over the last four months.

According to investigators, the guy taught kickboxing to minors. He taught the girl self-defense using kickboxing techniques in the refuge area of the residential tower where she lives with her family.

According to authorities, the accused sexually molested the girl on several occasions between February and June of this year. “He first approached the minor for sexual favors. “When she refused, he sexually assaulted her,” a police officer stated.

The youngster recently told her mother about her ordeal, which she had not previously disclosed to anybody. The mother went to the police on Monday.

The child informed authorities that the accused sexually attacked her at a boxing studio where he taught his students.

“On the girl’s compaint, we arrested the accused on Monday and produced him before a court that sent him to police custody up till July 5,” said a police officer from the Byculla police station.

The accused has been charged under Sections 376, 376(2)(n), 354 of the Indian Penal Code, as well as Sections 4, 8, and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Police are also investigating whether the accused targeted other girls who he taught kickboxing.

In the Pune Porsche crash case, police investigations revealed significant irregularities regarding the handling of blood samples for alcohol testing. According to reports submitted in court, both the blood sample of the minor accused and the individual whose blood was exchanged with the boy’s were taken in an area lacking CCTV coverage.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Sunil Tambe presented Dr Sunil Taware, the former head of the forensic department at Sassoon Hospital, Dr Shrihari Harnol, the casualty medical officer at the time, and Atul Ghatkamble, a Class IV employee, seeking an extension of their police remand. The court granted the extension until June 5.

Tambe informed the court that the syringe used to draw blood from the minor was not disposed of as usual but handed over to an unidentified person. Additionally, the blood samples were intentionally collected in an area without CCTV coverage. Investigation revealed that the sample sent for testing, instead of the minor’s, belonged to a woman. The police aim to identify the person who received the blood sample and seize the seal placed on the sample intended for testing as the minor’s.

The police also disclosed that they recovered Rs 3 lakh from the accused, invoking section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act due to financial discrepancies. The investigation uncovered numerous calls between the accused and other individuals, prompting the need for custodial interrogation to identify additional involved parties and trace illicitly acquired property.

Additional Public Prosecutor Nitin Konghe stated the intention to arrest the minor’s father, who had been in communication with Dr Taware, for further questioning. Defence lawyers opposed the remand request, arguing that sufficient time had been given for police interrogation.

While the identity of the individual whose blood was swapped with the minor’s remains undisclosed by the police, government officials confirmed it belonged to the minor’s mother. Additionally, blood samples from two friends of the minor who were in the car were also reportedly swapped with samples from other individuals.

Agra: Man arrested for raping minor

A person has been arrested by Agra police for allegedly raping a minor girl in the Khandauli Police Station area. Additional Commissioner of Police Sukanya Sharma stated that they received a complaint from the minor’s father, leading to the registration of an FIR and the arrest of the suspect.

“Today, on 28th March, information about the rape of a minor girl was received at Khandauli Police Station. The accused has been arrested. The FIR has been registered on the basis of the victim’s father’s complaint,” ACP Sukanya Sharma told ANI.

Further action is underway in the case.

Earlier this month, Uttar Pradesh police arrested a man in Mainpuri district under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for allegedly raping his minor stepdaughter. A case of rape and other sections under the POCSO Act was registered in Karhal police station, Mainpuri, based on a complaint lodged by the survivor.

Telangana police inspector arrested under POCSO for sexual assault of minor girl

On Friday, a police inspector under the authority of the Kakatiya University police station in the Hanumakonda district of Telangana was taken into custody on charges of molesting a sixteen-year-old girl.

He was the subject of a case filed under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and the Rape Act. The accused was employed by Bhupalpally Cybercrime as an inspector, according to the police.

The authorities claim that on March 21, the accused misbehaved with the victim girl.
“A case has been registered under the rape section of the POCSO Act. The accused was sent to remand,” the police said.

Delhi: Man arrested for raping a minor co-worker

The Delhi Police arrested a guy on Monday for allegedly raping a 16-year-old coworker. The complainant also claimed that the accused threatened to cut her up if she exposed the incident.

A complaint has been recorded at Mundka police station under sections 363/328/376/506 IPC and POCSO Act, according to DCP outside Harender Singh.

“The statement of the victim has been recorded before the Magistrate under section 164 CrPC,” said DCP Harender Singh.

Salman, 22, has been recognized as the accused. The complainant stated that she and Salman worked together in a toy factory in Delhi. He took her to his brother’s home in Gurugram on June 29 at 10 a.m. and handed her a spiked cold drink.

She collapsed after drinking, and when she awoke, she discovered she was naked.
If she told anyone, Salman threatened to tear her into pieces. Salman, a Mundka resident, has been detained and taken into custody.

Bihar: Minor “sexually assaulted” on pretext of marriage

According to sources, the Delhi Police have registered a case of sexual assault under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act based on a complaint lodged by a 16-year-old girl.

“The accused, whom she met at a wedding, exploited her physically under the guise of marriage,” according to police. The claimed incident occurred in Kaithinia, Madhubani district, Bihar. The girl revealed in her complaint that she travelled to Bihar with her parents before Holi to attend the wedding of one of her friends’ brothers.

According to investigators, the victim’s parents work as maids. “Later, when the family returned to Delhi, she fell sick on June 29. The girl was detected pregnant following the preliminary medical examination,” police said.

Following the complaint, a First Information Report was filed at the Roop Nagar police station in New Delhi under sections 376 of the Indian Penal Code and section 6 of the POCSO. More information is awaited.

Minor found dead at Malda in West Bengal

On Wednesday, a man was arrested for allegedly killing a minor girl in West Bengal’s Malda district, officials said.

According to police, the arrest was made after the accused confessed to his crime during interrogation. As per the information received from police team, the girl’s body was found in a field in Ujirpur village in Akandaberia in Kalichak police station area on Tuesday. Later, police reached the spot and recovered the dead body and sent it for post-mortem. Officials also visited visited crime spot. On suspicion, we detained 3 persons, during interrogation, one of them confessed to his crime, Pradip Kumar Yadav, SP said.

“The accused revealed during questioning that the victim was seeing someone else and insisted on getting married to her. The accused was already married. The accused decided to get rid of her after continuing to pressure him into marriage, so he killed her, the SP said.

Following the incident, a number of BJP members protested and demanded that the culprits be brought to justice. Additionally, they obstructed Manglabari Bulbuli More’s state highway. To stabilise the situation, a sizable police force had to be stationed nearby.

Four injured after gas cylinder explodes in Ghaziabad

Four persons including a minor suffered injury after a cylinder exploded in the kitchen of their residence. The incident took place in the Bihari Colony, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, 15 February 2023.

In a statement, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Swatantra Singh, told the ANI, that the victims who suffered injuries includes Dhananjay Singh, his wife, his brother-in-law, and his 9-year-old son. The victims were rushed to Safdarjung Hospital, Singh added.

As per the authorities, the incident took place at around 07:15 a.m. when Dhananjay’s wife went to the kitchen to prepare morning tea. The gas in the cylinder was already leaking when the woman went to the kitchen as a result the cylinder blasted leaving the family members injured. Delhi HC Grants Interim Bail To Former MLA Kuldeep Sengar

The Delhi High Court on Thursday conceded fourteen days interim bail to the removed BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the custodial death instance of an assault casualty’s father.

2 arrested for abducting, raping minor in Chhattisgarh’s Surguja

Principal drugged, raped class 11 student on school trip in UP

A 17-year-old student who was given an intoxicating substance was allegedly raped by the principal of a government school on Sunday.

On November 23, the principal led nine school children on a trip to Vrindavan, booking two hotel rooms for the female students. In one room, eight people stayed, while in the other, a Class 11 student and the principal allegdly stayed.

The student claims that the principal raped her after mixing an intoxicating drug in her food. He threatened to kill her and flunk her in the exams when the student resisted, according to a senior police official.

The child initially kept silent about the incident, but subsequently told her family members the full story, he claimed.

The police officer added that on Saturday, a case was filed against the principal in response to the girl’s father’s complaint, and an investigation is underway.

A horrifying incident from Bihar’s Nawada district has come to light in which the panchayat allegedly released a rape suspect after ordering him to perform sit-ups as a form of punishment, according to police sources.

The culprit was from the same hamlet as the little girl who was reportedly the victim of his rape, according to the local police. According to sources, a panchayat was summoned three days ago to discuss the situation, and the panchayat chief, or mukhiya, as the position is known locally, ordered the accused youth to perform five sit-ups as retribution for the alleged rape.

A village panchayat was convened, and the situation was resolved after the young man accused of raping a youngster was compelled to perform five sit-ups, according to a statement released by the local police.

Arunachal Pradesh: Man molested teenager at knifepoint, arrested

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in Arunachal Pradesh has been arrested on the charge of attempting to sexually assault a teenager in Itanagar at knifepoint , the police informed on Thursday.
On Tuesday, the suspect allegedly tried to sexually assault the 16-year-old girl in the vicinity of Sangey Laden. With assistance from the public, the accused was captured by the girl’s uncle on Wednesday, who then turned him over to the police.
According to the police’s report, on November 22 at around 1:30 pm, an unidentified male stopped the victim near Sangey Laden and flashed a knife.
According to the authorities, the male was intoxicated and pulled the woman when she refused to comply.

But she boldly got to her feet and ran away. If she informed anyone, the inebriated man threatened her with grave consequences. Police claimed she quickly told an uncle about her situation nonetheless, displaying courage.

At the Itanagar Women’s Police Station, a first information report (FIR) was subsequently filed against the accused under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 354 (assault with intent to outrage modesty), 505 (public mischief), and 8 (sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act (WPS).
The suspect was eventually revealed to be Bagram Tasam, also known as Nesang, of the Jullang region.

Ukraine’s Prosecutor General said that at least 437 children have been killed as a result of Russia’s invasion.

Kerela: Four-year-boy killed over business feud

“We suspect that there were some business-related disputes between the child’s father, Jayaprakash, and the accused, Jithesh. It might have led to the cruel act. It can be confirmed only after detailed interrogation,” a police officer said.

Youth held for raping a minor girl in Chattisgarh

A 19 year old was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in Balod, according to police.

According to the reports, the accused roped in the minor girl into his home on the pretext of giving firecrackers and sexually assaulted the survivor. The girl is seven years old.

“He raped the girl and then threw her in the bushes. Such male vampires should be hanged at the crossroads and they should not be cremated either. I have also requested Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the same,” she added. The victim’s family was promised all support by the government.

On Monday morning, according to the police, they learned that a young child was missing from her home. After receiving a report of a missing person, the police began their search.

“The accused used to work at a Dhaba near the girl’s house. We traced and took him into custody. During interrogation, he said that he violated the girl and threw her in the bushes,” Khandwa Superintendent of Police (SP), Vivek Singh, said.

The police conducted a search of the area using the information and found the girl.
She was admitted to a hospital right away by the police, and for better care, she was subsequently sent to Bombay Hospital in Indore.
The SP added that the accused was detained by the police and that a complaint had been filed into the incident in accordance with sections 376 of the IPC and the POCSO Act.

Chhattisgarh: Minor raped woman staffer inside health centre, arrested

Police in Chhattisgarh’s Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur (MCB) district reported on Saturday that a 32-year-old health worker was allegedly raped at knifepoint by a young boy at her workplace.

An official reported that the police had arrested the 17-year-old suspect and two of his accomplices, while one more suspect in the case was absconding.

Dipak Saini, Station House Officer (SHO) Jhagrakhand, said that the incident happened on Friday afternoon at a sub-health centre in Chhipchhip Village Panchayat, which is within the jurisdiction of Jhagrakhand Police Station.

He also said that the woman lodged a complaint on Saturday morning, following which the police swung into action, he said. The woman was alone at the facility located in the outskirts of the village, when the minor and three of his associates barged in.

They threatened her with a knife and tied her hands and legs, following which the boy allegedly raped her, the official said. They also allegedly filmed the act before fleeing the spot, he said.

A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the Arms Act and Information Technology Act, he added.

14-year-old gave birth to a child, raped by plumber

In yet another terrible incident, a 14-year-old girl in Kolkata’s Ballygunge neighbourhood reportedly gave birth to a child after allegedly being raped by a 36-year-old plumber. The unfortunate event happened while the young child was staying at the home of her maternal uncle.

But soon after birth, the infant passed away, and the victim’s family lodged a complaint. After being detained by police, the suspect was charged with several counts of rape under Section 6 of the POCSO Act.

According to the reports, the mother of the survivor claimed in the FIR that the plumber routinely visited their home and had formed a bond with the child.

Soumya Roy, DC (Behala) said, “As per the mother’s accusations, around nine months ago, the plumber took advantage of the girl being alone and sexually assaulted her. The girl became pregnant as a result, and a baby boy was born, who died soon after.”

The minor will appear before the Child Welfare Committee on Tuesday, and an officer will record her statement.

Jharkhand: Minor held for raping 16-year-old girl in Khunti

A minor boy was arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Jharkhand.

According to the Khunti Superintendent of India Aman Kumar, a 16-year-old girl was raped in Jaiagarh village in Khunti district in Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, in a medical examination, the incident came to light when the girl was found four months pregnant.

Reportedly the girl was raped four times and on Monday on the complaint of the victim, the police arrested the accused and have been sent him to the remand home.

As per the victim’s statement, the boy came to meet the girl outside her school and took her with him, and raped her.

“A case of rape of a 16-year-old student of Class 10 has come to light in the Jariagarh area of Khunti. The accused belongs to another community. He is also a minor,” the SP said.

However further details into the matter are awaited.

Bihar: 2 held in minor girl rape case in Gopalganj

In the alleged gang rape of a minor girl, two men have been arrested on Tuesday in Gopalganj.

Earlier on 24 August, the incident took place where a 13-year-old girl was gang raped in the Bhore PS area.

“On August 24, a minor girl was gang-raped under the Bhore PS area. The FIR has been registered and the statement of the girl is also being recorded,” the Gopalganj SP said.

The police officials further stated that two accused involved in gang rape have been arrested and so far mobile has been also seized which was used to record the video.

“Taking swift action, two accused have been arrested so far. The raids are underway to nab the remaining accused as well. The charge sheet will be submitted at its earliest. The mobile that was used to record the video has also been seized,” the officer said.

However, further investigation into the matter is underway.
