Special arrangements and heightened security ensure a safe conclusion of this grand spiritual event.
</excerpt>

The world’s largest spiritual gathering is drawing to a close as the final day of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 begins with a surge of devotees at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. On Maha Shivratri, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims rushed to take the sacred ‘snan’ in the early hours, marking the last special bath of the six-week festival.

Final ‘Snan’ and Religious Significance

Devotees gathered at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers for a final ritual bath, an act considered essential during Maha Shivratri—a festival commemorating the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva played a pivotal role in the churning of the ocean, which led to the emergence of the Amrit Kumbh, the pitcher of nectar that gives the festival its name.

Extensive Security and Management Arrangements

To ensure the safety of millions during this climactic event, authorities declared the entire Kumbh area a ‘no vehicle zone’. The Uttar Pradesh government, under strict security measures, deployed 37,000 police personnel and 14,000 home guards across the site. Advanced surveillance technologies, including 2,750 AI-based CCTV cameras, alongside multiple Jal Police stations, control rooms, and watch towers, are in place to monitor the vast gathering.

DIG (Kumbh) Vaibhav Krishna confirmed that preparations are geared to handle a surge of devotees, which is expected to surpass Tuesday’s count of 1.33 crore visitors. Special arrangements by Indian Railways include operating over 350 additional trains from Prayagraj to accommodate the massive influx of passengers, with several railway zones on high alert following recent stampede incidents.

Celebrations Amidst Unity and Tradition

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended heartfelt greetings to the people on the eve of Maha Shivratri, emphasising that the festival strengthens national unity and cultural traditions. He highlighted that the Jyotirling as across India symbolise the country’s integration and urged the community to remain committed to societal welfare, inspired by the spirit of Lord Mahadev.

Looking Forward

As the Maha Kumbh Mela comes to an end with the final ‘Amrit snan’, organizers and authorities are already focusing on post-event safety and logistics. With extensive fire-fighting measures on standby and robust security in place, officials are determined to ensure that this grand spiritual event concludes safely, leaving behind a legacy of faith and unity.

Authorities struggled to manage congestion as devotees rushed for the sacred ‘Snan’ in Prayagraj.
</excerpt>

A staggering traffic jam, extending up to 300 kilometers, turned roads leading to Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj into massive parking lots as lakhs of devotees attempted to reach the Maha Kumbh Mela. The gridlock, which many online users dubbed the “world’s biggest traffic jam,” left thousands stranded in their vehicles for hours, some even hundreds of kilometers away from the fairground.

Vehicles Halted Across Madhya Pradesh

The congestion severely affected routes passing through Madhya Pradesh, forcing authorities to halt traffic in multiple districts. Police in Katni, Jabalpur, Maihar, and Rewa stopped vehicles to prevent overcrowding and advised travelers to seek shelter until the situation improved. Eyewitnesses reported that vehicles were at a standstill for nearly 48 hours, with commuters taking 10-12 hours to cover just 50 kilometers.

Authorities Take Measures to Manage Crisis

In response to the overwhelming rush, Madhya Pradesh Police coordinated with the Prayagraj administration to ease traffic flow. Inspector General of Police (Rewa Zone), Saket Prakash Pandey, stated that the situation would stabilize in a few days. Meanwhile, Rewa district officials arranged for food, water, and shelter for stranded pilgrims.

We are stuck again, and have been in front of this junction for the last 45 mins or so.

The vehicles on the other road keep on moving.

Futile to trust Google maps with any kind of traffic prediction.

The best way is to embrace this chaos as part of the whole Kumbh experience pic.twitter.com/L54vgeNhmB

— Bhaskar Sarma? (@bhas) February 8, 2025

Social Media Users React to Chaos

Frustrated travelers took to social media to share their ordeal. One user posted, “Traffic jam of 15 KM before Jabalpur… still 400 KM to Prayagraj. Check traffic updates before heading to Maha Kumbh!” Another shared, “Moved ~5 KM in 5 hours. Had to cancel my flight and rebook at double the price. Horrible traffic management!”

Political and Community Support

Amid the crisis, Madhya Pradesh BJP President VD Sharma urged party workers to assist pilgrims by providing food and accommodation. “All workers should help devotees in every possible way and ensure they do not face difficulties during this sacred journey,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Maha Kumbh Mela Draws Record-Breaking Crowds

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which began on January 13 and will conclude on February 26, has already attracted over 40 crore visitors from across India and abroad. The influx of devotees participating in the holy ‘Snan’ at the Sangam—where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet—has led to unprecedented logistical challenges. Authorities continue working round the clock to manage the overwhelming turnout and ensure a smoother pilgrimage experience.

</excerpt>

There is an ancient tradition of Kumbh Mela in Bharat. It is a little difficult to say when the organization of Kumbh Mela started, but it can certainly be said that it has a long and rich tradition. Currently, the Maha Kumbh organized in Prayagraj is the world’s largest spiritual fair, in which about 50 crore people are expected to come. When modern means of communication like TV, radio, newspapers, internet etc. did not even exist, even then lakhs of people from all over the country used to reach to participate in Kumbh on a fixed year and date. This is a symbol of the religious faith, spiritual vision and national unity of the Bharatiya people. Taking a bath in Kumbh, meeting sages and saints and getting their blessings and guidance, this has been a natural tendency in our country. But, Adi Shankaracharya gave the vision that there should be discussion and deliberation on knowledge in religious, spiritual events like Kumbh. In such events, saints and sages used to brainstorm and guide the citizens of the country from religious, spiritual and cultural point of view and used to show the path to strengthen the character and moral values of the society. Kumbh Mela was not just a gathering from spiritual and religious point of view, but it was also a collective event of reorganizing and rethinking the rules and codes to make new regulations according to the times to run the progress of the society and the nation smoothly after every twelve years and here new knowledge was also created from knowledge discussions.

Similarly, in Gyan Maha Kumbh, people from the education world of the country can gather and work to give direction to the education sector of the country to re-establish the Bharatiya knowledge tradition in accordance with modern requirements. With this goal in mind, Gyan Maha Kumbh is being organized by Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas. Just as Kumbh is organized at four holy places of the country (Haridwar, Prayag, Ujjain and Nashik), on the same format, before the Gyan Maha Kumbh, Gyan Kumbh was successfully organized in the four directions of the country, Haridwar, Nalanda, Puducherry and Karnavati (Ahmedabad). In Bharat, education, that is, acquiring knowledge, was never considered a business, but it was considered a medium of imparting knowledge with a spirit of service. In this Gyan Maha Kumbh, hundreds of people directly associated with education have contributed their body, mind and money to make this Gyan Maha Kumbh successful. Unfortunately, in independent Bharat, the subject of improvement and change in education, except for a few exceptions, became a subject of speech or intellectual discussion only. Those who aspire and expect change in any field should start it from themselves, this has been the Bharatiya tradition, only then steps can be taken forward in the direction of real change. Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, Gijubhai etc. had made similar efforts to bring about change in education. Getting inspired from those great men, this subject should be first made popular among the people of the education sector and later it should become a movement of the general public, this is the basic concept of Gyan Maha Kumbh.

It is a matter of joy that today the country has become the fifth economy of the world by striving towards material progress in many fields like information technology, space technology etc. However, this is only one dimension of development. But even today we are struggling with environment, moral values and character crisis etc. As a result of this, along with casteism, linguistic discrimination, male-female, untouchability etc., we are also facing the challenge of problems like oppression of women, violence, communal tension etc., which are yet to be conquered. That is, only with the balanced coordination of both material development and spiritual development, the above problems can be resolved and steps can be taken towards becoming a world leader. In this way, the basis of balanced and holistic development of the country can be possible only by acquiring knowledge. The most powerful medium of acquiring knowledge is education. Education is the foundation of development of any country.

The ‘Gyan Maha Kumbh’ organised at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh is an initiative in this direction. It is said in the Bhagavad Gita that ‘ _na hi gyanen sadrisham pavitramih vidyate’_ i.e. there is nothing as sacred as knowledge in this world.
Kumbh is a small form of taking a step in this direction. In Kumbh, millions of people from the country and the world take bath together. They take prasad, food etc. together in the camps of saints and social organizations, then the problems of the country visible on the surface do not seem to exist there. This is the symbol of practical spirituality. Also, due to Kumbh, economic development of that area and its people is also seen. We can see and experience this coordination of materialism and spirituality in the Maha Kumbh organised at the Triveni Sangam of Prayagraj. What else can be the medium of coordinated and holistic development of the country by reestablishing Bharatiyaness through the organisation of Gyan Maha Kumbh? With this vision, along with crores of people taking a holy dip in the Ganga, people from the world of education should join the Gyan Maha Kumbh, take a dip in the Ganga of knowledge and pledge to revive the education in the country and together in their respective educational institutions, take forward the campaign from local to nationwide; this is the future direction of organizing the Gyan Maha Kumbh.

The Maha Kumbh Mela is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, and it begins with the royal bath of the Naga Sadhus, who are considered to be some of the most revered ascetics. While much attention is given to the male Naga Sadhus, the female Naga Sadhus play an equally important role. However, their life and practices are often more challenging and unique compared to their male counterparts.

Life of a Female Naga Sadhu: More Than Just Celibacy

Female Naga Sadhus lead a life dedicated to intense penance and spiritual meditation. In contrast to the male Naga Sadhus, who have had more opportunities to be recognized, female Naga Sadhus had to face greater societal and spiritual barriers.

The life of a female Naga Sadhu is extremely rigorous. From a very young age, they are expected to follow celibacy and take part in a series of religious practices. The age of six is considered the starting point of their commitment to celibacy. Only after enduring tough tests and successfully living a life of penance and abstinence, can a woman officially become a Naga Sadhu.

The Role of Dashnam Sannyasini Akhara and the Rise of Female Naga Sadhus

Historically, only male Naga Sadhus were part of the Akharas, the religious orders of ascetics. However, in India, the Dashnam Sannyasini Akhara allows women to join as Naga Sadhus. Before the formation of a separate Akhara for female Sadhus, the Mai Bada camp within Juna Akhara was the only place where women could practice their spiritual life.

The formal recognition of female Naga Sadhus began in 2013 with the creation of Dashnam Sannyasini Akhara, which provided an official structure for women to follow the path of asceticism. Female Naga Sadhus are now able to fully embrace this sacred journey through the support of this Akhara, while keeping their vows of celibacy, meditation, and penance.

Ganti: The Sacred Attire of Female Naga Sadhus

The attire of female Naga Sadhus is a significant symbol of their spiritual journey. Traditionally, they wear the Ganti, a simple saffron-colored piece of cloth, which is seen as a symbol of purity, dedication, and renunciation. Interestingly, there are also rare instances where female Naga Sadhus do not wear the Ganti and choose to remain completely nude. These ascetics are known to lead even more secluded lives, remaining hidden from public view and focusing solely on their spiritual pursuits.

A Life of Seclusion and Devotion

Female Naga Sadhus are known to remain secluded from worldly affairs. Their life is marked by rigorous religious observances, such as bathing in sacred rivers, living in caves, following strict dietary rules, and meditating in solitude. They only make their appearance on special occasions such as the Kumbh Mela, where they gather with other ascetics to share their spiritual journey.

Female Naga Sadhus have a unique and important place in India’s religious and spiritual practices. Their commitment to celibacy, meditation, and penance reflects an extraordinary level of discipline and dedication. Despite the challenges they face, they continue to inspire many with their perseverance and devotion to spiritual growth. Their life may be hidden from the world, but their contributions to the Maha Kumbh and the larger spiritual community cannot be overlooked.

Overcoming challenges, his dedication to skating and spirituality drives him forward.
</excerpt>

In a unique and inspiring journey to the world’s largest religious gathering, the Maha Kumbh Mela, Ajay Nishad from Sakreli village in Chhattisgarh is making his way to Prayagraj on skates. What sets Ajay apart is his commitment to skate the entire 600 kilometers, proving that his love for skating transcends mere hobby to become an extraordinary pilgrimage.

A Skater’s Passion for the Kumbh Mela

Ajay, a skating enthusiast, has always tried to travel by skating whenever possible. This time, he has taken his passion to new heights by setting out on a remarkable 600-kilometer trip to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Covering an average of 80-100 kilometers per day, Ajay rests each night at local hotels or lodges. Despite the challenges along the way, including poor road conditions that often force him to walk or catch a ride, he’s determined to complete his pilgrimage.

A Challenging Yet Fulfilling Journey

This marks Ajay’s longest journey yet, and it comes with its share of difficulties. He is carrying a 20-25 kg bag along with a saffron flag that waves as he skates. In the face of such an arduous trek, Ajay’s perseverance remains unshaken, motivated by the idea of making a pilgrimage to the sacred Kumbh Mela in a way that no one else has.

Support Along the Way

During his journey, Ajay has encountered numerous kind-hearted individuals who have offered him support in the form of financial help and meals. These gestures of goodwill have motivated him to keep going, pushing him further toward his destination.

A Spiritual Journey with a Personal Twist

Ajay’s skating adventure is not only a testament to his love for skating but also a spiritual journey. He has previously undertaken skating trips to temples near Sakti, such as Turridham and Madwarani, covering distances between 50 to 100 kilometers. This journey to the Kumbh Mela, however, is truly a milestone in his unique pilgrimage.

The Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, which draws devotees from all over the world, has already seen over 7 crore people participating in holy dips at the Triveni Sangam. The Uttar Pradesh government estimates that over 45 crore people will attend this year’s Mela, making it the largest religious gathering on Earth.

From Ujjain Kumbh to Maha Kumbh, it symbolizes inclusion and resilience.
</excerpt>

The Maha Kumbh Mela, the grand religious congregation, is set to commence in Prayagraj on January 13 and will continue until February 26. This iconic event, known for its spiritual significance, is expected to attract around 40 crore devotees. Among the many attractions, the Kinnar Akhara, representing the transgender community, stands out as a symbol of inclusion and transformation, drawing immense attention with its grandeur.

The Formation of Kinnar Akhara

The Kinnar Akhara was established in 2015 by transgender activist Dr. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, who had long worked for the welfare of the transgender community. Her vision was to create a platform where members of her community could participate in spiritual and cultural traditions. Despite facing fierce opposition from the All India Akhara Parishad, Tripathi remained resolute, and the Kinnar Akhara made its debut during the Ujjain Kumbh Mela in 2016 with a separate camp.

Claiming a Divine Identity

During the Ujjain Kumbh Mela, the Akhara Parishad opposed the royal bath of the Kinnar Akhara. However, the saints of the Akhara boldly declared themselves as Updev (sub-gods) and proceeded with the ritual, gaining significant public support. This marked a turning point in their acceptance, making the Kinnar Akhara a center of attraction and discussion.

Affiliation with Juna Akhara

In 2019, Dr. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi met Hari Giri Maharaj, the patron of the Juna Akhara, resulting in a historic agreement. The pact allowed the Kinnar Akhara to participate in the royal bath alongside the Juna Akhara during Kumbh Mela. This collaboration paved the way for broader acceptance, with other Akharas gradually embracing the Kinnar Akhara into the fold.

Kinnar Akhara in Maha Kumbh 2025

As Maha Kumbh 2025 approaches, the Akhara is set to once again mesmerise devotees with its presence. With lakhs of saints from all 13 Akharas, including the Kinnar Akhara, gathering at the holy Sangam, the event promises to be a grand celebration of faith, unity, and diversity.

The Kinnar Akhara’s journey from resistance to recognition exemplifies the power of perseverance and the evolving narrative of inclusion in Indian spiritual traditions.

</excerpt>

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav, blaming him for the mismanagement of the 2013 Kumbh Mela. Maurya described the event as the “worst in history,” citing numerous accidents that affected pilgrims during the gathering. He emphasized the significance of the upcoming 2025 Kumbh Mela, assuring that the government is making comprehensive preparations.

Maurya stated, “The Kumbh Mela was organized in Prayagraj in January 2013. Akhilesh Yadav had handed over the management of that Kumbh Mela to his uncle Azam Khan. Kumbh Mela had never been in such a bad condition in history to date. The visiting pilgrims even became victims of accidents.”

Akhilesh Yadav Questions BJP’s Readiness for 2025 Kumbh Mela

In response, Akhilesh Yadav criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for alleged misgovernance in preparations for the upcoming Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela 2025. He highlighted concerns regarding the condition of pontoon bridges, stating that out of 22, only nine were fit for traffic, with the remaining in poor condition. Yadav claimed that the BJP had only completed 40 percent of the necessary work.

In a post on X, Yadav expressed his concerns: “Now that only 20 days are left for this mega event, how will the remaining bridges be built and how will crowd control and movement be possible? The BJP government should take this very seriously.”

Government’s Preparations for the Mahakumbh Mela

Despite the criticisms, the UP government has announced extensive arrangements for the Mahakumbh Mela, which will take place from January 10 to February 24, 2025. Over 5,000 special buses, including 550 electric vehicles, are set to assist the influx of devotees during peak days. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) also ensures world-class facilities for millions of attendees, including shelter for over 100,000 passengers and approximately 3,000 special fair trains.

Additionally, IRCTC has completed the construction of a luxury tent city, Mahakumbh Gram, near the Triveni Sangam, to accommodate the needs of the devotees. The event will feature major bathing festivals, known as “Shahi Snan,” on significant dates including January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami).

</excerpt>

The Kumbh Mela is one of India’s largest and most revered religious festivals, attracting millions of devotees, saints, and tourists from all over the world. It is held at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet, thus giving spiritual seekers a chance to purify their souls.

In 2025, Maha Kumbh Mela will start on January 13 with the Paush Purnima Snan and will end on February 26, which coincides with Maha Shivratri. Let’s dig into the interesting aspects of this holy event.

Origin of Kumbh Mela

The Kumbh Mela has its basis in the mythological story of churning of the ocean by gods and demons in search of nectar of immortality (Amrit). It is believed that four drops of this nectar had fallen in four different cities—Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain—thus acting as hosts to the Kumbh Mela.

World Record for Largest Peaceful Gathering

The Kumbh Mela has the Guinness World Record for the largest peaceful congregation, with more than 120 million devotees attending the 2013 Maha Kumbh. On a single day, almost 30 million people participated. The festival takes place every 12 years and will again be observed in January 2025.

The Kumbh Mela follows a celestial alignment-based schedule, which occurs every 12 years in each of the four sacred cities. The dates are based on the positions of the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter, so the event is both spiritually significant and astrologically precise.

Every time the festival is organized, a fully functional temporary city is set up to accommodate the millions of visitors who arrive.
Sacred Rituals of Bathing

The ceremonial bath in the holy rivers is the highlight of Kumbh Mela. It is said that a dip at Prayagraj, where three rivers converge, will cleanse them of all their sins and confer moksha or liberation from the cycle of rebirth.

In Hindu culture, the Kumbh Mela is one of the most revered festivals. This major event occurs at different intervals, with the Kumbh Mela being held every three years. Every six years, the Ardh Kumbh or Half Kumbh is celebrated, and the Maha Kumbh, or Great Kumbh, takes place every twelve years. The next Maha Kumbh will occur in Prayagraj in 2025. In addition to Prayagraj, the festival is also observed in Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain.

The Mythological Origins of Maha Kumbh Mela

The history of the Maha Kumbh Mela goes back to a mythological event known as the churning of the ocean, or Samudra Manthan, which involved a conflict between gods (Devas) and demons (Asuras). Ancient legends describe a fierce 12-day battle between them over a pot of nectar (Amrit) that surfaced from the ocean. During this struggle, drops of nectar fell at four locations on Earth: Prayagraj, Ujjain, Haridwar, and Nashik. These places are now considered sacred, and it is at these sites that the Kumbh Mela takes place.

Jupiter’s Influence on Kumbh Mela Locations

The timing and location of the Kumbh Mela are closely tied to the positioning of the planet Jupiter (Guru) in different constellations. When Jupiter is in Taurus and the Sun is in Capricorn, the Kumbh Mela is held in Prayagraj. For Nashik, the alignment of Jupiter and the Sun in Leo is significant. Similarly, the Kumbh in Ujjain is celebrated when Jupiter is in Leo and the Sun in Aries. Finally, the Kumbh in Haridwar is observed when Jupiter is in Aquarius and the Sun in Aries.

Through these sacred events, millions of worshippers express their devotion, connecting with the profound spiritual energy believed to fill these holy locations during Kumbh Mela.

</excerpt>

Spiritual leader Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the Peethadheeshwar (head) of Bageshwar Dham, has stirred controversy with his remarks regarding the entry of non-Hindus at the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela.

With preparations underway for the event, set to begin on January 13 in Prayagraj after a 12-year break, Shastri’s comments have sparked concerns among various communities. During the groundbreaking ceremony for the Lord Hanumana Temple in Kawardha, Chhattisgarh, Shastri made a bold statement against allowing non-Hindus to attend the festival, quoting, “Mere angne mein tumhara kya kaam hai,” a line popularized by a song from the 1981 Amitabh Bachchan film Laawaris.

He asserted that those unfamiliar with Sanatan Dharma, the Hindu faith and its worship practices, should not participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela, emphasizing that “those who do not know about this… will definitely destroy it.”

Shastri also blamed non-Hindus for reported incidents of spitting and public urination at past events. “Somewhere there was a spitting incident, somewhere there was a urine incident… This proves that there may be some conspirators, so entry of non-Hindus should be banned in Maha Kumbh,” he stated.

He further insisted that individuals knowledgeable in Sanatan Dharma should oversee the festival’s management to preserve its sanctity, asserting, “It will be right if this work is given to those who have knowledge of Sanatan Dharma, know about Hindu religion.”

His remarks have ignited a debate, prompting questions about the potential effects on community relations during this significant religious gathering. The Maha Kumbh Mela is expected to draw millions, providing spiritual enrichment and economic opportunities for numerous vendors and service providers.

As Uttar Pradesh initiates various training programs to boost tourism and prepare local vendors for the influx of visitors, the discussion surrounding Shastri’s comments continues, shedding light on the complex intersection of religion, culture, and community at this important event.

</excerpt>

The Railway Ministry is making comprehensive arrangements for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, set to take place in Prayagraj starting January 12. The ministry plans to operate 992 special trains and allocate a budget of ₹933 crore to enhance infrastructure and facilities for the event.

Anticipated Attendance and Infrastructure Development

The Kumbh Mela is expected to draw between 30 to 50 crore devotees, as reported by Financial Express. To facilitate smooth travel for these pilgrims, the Railway Ministry is working on doubling railway tracks in the Prayagraj area, with an estimated investment of ₹3,700 crore. This upgrade aims to improve train operations, particularly during the event’s peak days.

Continuous Coordination and Preparedness

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with deputies Ravneet Singh Bittu and V. Somanna, is actively engaging with senior railway officials to ensure effective coordination. Regular meetings are being held to keep all stakeholders informed and to take necessary actions in anticipation of the expected increase in passenger numbers.

Lessons from Past Events

In light of the 2019 Kumbh Mela, which attracted over 24 crore attendees, the ministry has increased the number of special trains by 42 percent compared to the last event. This decision reflects their proactive strategy to address transportation demands.

Significant Investments in Infrastructure

Beyond the special trains, the Railway Ministry is investing substantially in infrastructure upgrades. Approximately ₹440 crore will be allocated for constructing road overbridges, while ₹495 crore will be directed toward road repairs, the installation of CCTV cameras, and the enhancement of accommodations, waiting areas, and medical facilities at railway stations.

Progress on Rail Line Doubling

Railway officials have reported that the doubling of rail lines between Varanasi and Jhusi has already been completed, showcasing notable progress in their preparations. Additionally, the completion of the Dedicated Freight Corridor is expected to alleviate pressure on existing railway lines and enhance the efficiency of passenger trains.

With these extensive plans and infrastructure enhancements, the Railway Ministry is well-equipped to accommodate millions of devotees during the Kumbh Mela, ensuring a safe and efficient travel experience for all attendees.
