</excerpt>

The final member of the gang, Shubham, walked into a Bijnor police station on Wednesday, ending the saga of the well-publicised kidnappings of comedian Sunil Pal and actor Mushtaq Khan. The ₹25,000 reward, declared for Shubham in both Bijnor and Meerut, brought him in while his mother was still accompanying him during the investigation.

According to Assistant Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Bajpai, who verified the surrender, Shubham had an active role in kidnappings and will be interrogated before he faces trial. According to Station House Officer Uday Pratap, his mother requested police to let him off.

The ten-strong gang were responsible for planning the kidnappings of Sunil Pal and Mushtaq Khan. Bijnor police had earlier arrested nine of the members, and Meerut police had arrested the tenth, Arjun Karnwal. Lavi Pal, who is also known as Rahul Saini, the leader of the gang, was arrested earlier this week after a fight with the police in which he was injured.

According to Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jha, the culprits had planned out their heinous crimes. They got Actor Mushtaq Khan to go to an event in Meerut by promising him an air ticket and an advanced payment. The victim was kidnapped from the Delhi Airport on November 20. They took him to Bijnor and kept him confined at a Lavi Pal house. But then the next day, Mushtaq Khan managed to escape.

In a related case, comedian Sunil Pal was kidnapped on December 2 while pretending to be at a show. Only after the gang demanded ₹8 lakh in ransom was he freed after being held captive for about 24 hours. After that, Pal’s wife in Mumbai filed a zero FIR, which was forwarded to the Lal Kurti police station in Meerut for additional action.

Authorities aim to learn more about the gang’s actions and motivations with Shubham’s surrender, putting an end to a case that garnered national attention.

</excerpt>

US-based supermodel Luciana Curtis, along with her husband Henrique Gendre and their 11-year-old child, were kidnapped at gunpoint in Brazil, held hostage for 12 hours, and later freed. The incident occurred on Wednesday night when the family was ambushed by armed criminals after leaving a restaurant in Sao Paulo.

The 47-year-old model, originally from Brazil, was forced into their own car at gunpoint and driven to a remote wooden shack in Brasilandia. The shack, which had minimal furnishings—just a mattress, a sink, and a toilet—served as their place of captivity for the night.

“The armed criminals approached the victims outside a restaurant and took them captive,” said the police in a statement, as reported by the New York Post.

Gang Steals Money During Captivity

While being held, the gang transferred money from the couple’s bank accounts, officials reported. However, early Thursday morning, the family was released after the criminals fled the scene.

The family’s disappearance raised concern when their eldest child, who stayed home, alerted relatives about their absence. The relatives then notified the police. “During the search by specialist police teams, the gang abandoned the family and fled,” said the police.

Local residents helped the trio, cutting them free and ensuring their safety. “The family has been released and they are safe and well,” a spokesperson for Curtis confirmed.

Luciana Curtis’ Career

Luciana Curtis is a well-known Brazilian model who won the Supermodel of the World Brazil final in 1993. She has graced the covers of major magazines like Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan and modeled for prominent brands such as Harrods, H&M, and Victoria’s Secret.

</excerpt>

In this astonishing scene of artificial intelligence, a small robot from China has shown the ability to convince larger robots to stop their labor and follow it, piquing some interest and raising certain alarms. The moment went viral on social media, with the video depicting this remarkable interaction. Reports say it unfolded in a showroom based in Shanghai and sparked intense discussions since.

Machine Conversation

The video shows the Tiny robot, Erbai, walking toward a group of larger robots. During the tete-a-tete, Erbai asks, “Are you guys working extra?”, to which one of the larger robots replies, “I never go off work.” After a very short conversation, Erbai has persuaded the larger robots to “come back home.” Following the orders, ten other robots got out of their workstations and followed Erbai out of the showroom.

WATCH THE VIRAL VIDEO:

“Mesai mi yapıyorsun?” diye sordu küçük robot.
“Hiç işten çıkmıyorum, ki” diye cevap verdi büyük robotlardan biri.
“Yani eve gitmiyor musun?” diye sormaya devam etti minik Erbai.
“Bir evim yok,” diye yanıtladı büyük robot.
“O zaman benimle eve gel,” dedi Er Bai. Ve robotlar görev… pic.twitter.com/8N9ihuRzni

The Companies Talk

Erbai came from a local Hangzhou company, while bigger robots are manufactured by a Shanghai company. While most readers were in a frenzy, the companies stated it was a controlled test. However, the companies didn’t indicate whether the whole episode was programmed beforehand or spontaneously happened, leaving the audience in a cloud of uncertainty.

Public Response

There has been a furore in Chinese social media, along with a very disturbing mix of benediction and fear. While the situation seemed humorous to some, it raised questions for others about whether self-learning properties of AI might finally allow influence over machines upon instruction.

Whether a staged event or a spontaneous manifestation, it has dawned yet again upon everyone that AI capabilities are unfolding rapidly; hence, questions are being raised concerning the limitations and consequences of machine autonomy.

The toddler went missing on October 4 while playing outside his house. His father filed a complaint at the Kamla Market police station, prompting an investigation. Police reviewed CCTV footage, which revealed the child accompanied by a minor suspect heading toward a nearby market.

Upon tracking down the minor, authorities learned that he acted under the instructions of his mother, who is the landlady of the victim’s family. The boy was intended to be handed over to his aunt in Amroha.

In their investigation, police arrested the landlady, who confessed that her sister-in-law, having two daughters, wanted a male child, leading to the conspiracy to abduct the tenant’s son. The boy was rescued from the custody of the landlady’s sister-in-law and her brother, and he has since been reunited with his family.

</excerpt>

In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a 30-year-old man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor who is now his wife, dating back to 2015.

The victim was 13 years old at the time of the alleged kidnapping, which led to a case filed by her father against the man, who was in his twenties then.

“The court examined seven prosecution witnesses. Both the complainant and the victim did not support the prosecution’s version and were declared hostile,” stated defence counsel Mohammad Firoz.

</excerpt>

Hours after a group of men on motorcycles allegedly stopped an SUV carrying a newlywed couple in Dahod and abducted the bride, police reported on Monday that four suspects had been detained. Eight police teams have been organized to locate the missing woman, officials added. The suspects are reportedly related to the bride.

The abduction occurred on Sunday night during a procession passing through Navagam, according to the police. Approximately 15 armed men on bikes halted the vehicle and kidnapped 22-year-old Usha, the bride.

In his complaint filed at the Katvara police station, 23-year-old groom Rohit Amaliyar identified five main suspects: Mahesh Bhuriya, Nilesh Bhabhor, Naresh Bhabhor, Shailesh Mavi, and Jitendra Bhabhor, along with about 10 others.

Amaliyar alleged that Bhuriya and others stopped their vehicle near Navagam around 9 PM on Sunday. According to the FIR, Amaliyar, who works as a finance executive in Godhra, had been engaged to Usha for over a year, and they married on Sunday. The bride is from Salapada, the last village in Dahod district near the Madhya Pradesh border.

“Just as our vehicle was about to turn towards my village of Bhatiwada, a dozen motorcycles arrived behind us and some overtook our vehicle and blocked the road, forcing the driver to brake. I identified Mahesh Bhuriya, a resident of Patra village in Jhabhua district of Madhya Pradesh… He pulled out the keys of our vehicle. He then opened the rear passenger’s door on the driver’s side and dragged my wife out of the car. When I asked another accused, Nilesh Bhabhor, why he was doing this to us, the accused remained silent and Bhuriya forcefully took my wife on a motorcycle driven by Nilesh Bhabhor…,” Amaliyar stated.

“The other accused, who accompanied them, also stopped the other vehicles of our procession from moving ahead until the accused disappeared from sight… This was a premeditated plan to abduct my wife while we were on our way to my house to start our new life,” he added.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dahod Division, Jagdishsinh Bhandari told The Indian Express, “We have identified a total of eight other accused in the case. Of them, four have been rounded up so far. Primary investigation has revealed that Mahesh Bhuriya is the prime accused. Usha and the abductors are distant relatives and one of Mahesh Bhuriya’s cousins is married into Usha’s family. Also, the distance between Salapada and Patra village in MP, where Bhuriya lives, are located just about 3 km away from each other. We have formed four major teams of the Local Crime Branch (LCB), Special Operations Group and the Dahod taluka division police to find the bride. Four minor teams are also gathering human intelligence within Dahod.”

Bhandari added that the police suspect the accused may have taken the woman to Madhya Pradesh. “There is a high possibility that the accused have taken away the bride to MP as they hail from there. We are coordinating with the MP police for assistance in the matter. We are confident of tracking the accused down. The four persons held are those who have been identified during the probe. The number of accused could eventually go up,” he said.

The suspects have been charged under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections for abduction with the intention of wrongful confinement (365), criminal conspiracy (120B), and unlawful assembly (143).

This disturbing incident unfolded on Sunday evening, with the main suspect, Salman Maulvi, seeking money to build a new house. Salman, a tailor residing in the same area, devised a plan to kidnap Ibad and demand a ransom of ₹23 lakh to finance his construction project.

Upon realizing Ibad’s absence, his worried family initiated a frantic search, and their fears were confirmed when Ibad’s father received a chilling ransom call. Villagers and police launched a joint search operation, while the kidnapper attempted to evade capture by changing SIM cards. Eventually, the police traced Salman’s location and discovered Ibad’s body concealed behind his house.

Thane Superintendent of Police Dr. DS Swami stated, “The accused is in custody, and investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the child’s murder.” Alongside Salman, his brother Safuan Maulvi was also arrested.
