Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy meets KCR

At Yashoda hospital on Sunday, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with former chief minister and leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, K Chandrashekar Rao. On December 7, KCR had surgery to replace his entire left hip after he fell in his Erravalli farmhouse. Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was admitted to Yashoda Hospital earlier this week. According to the hospital, Rao has a left hip fracture and will likely need a left hip replacement, which could take six to eight weeks to heal.

“Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao Garu had a slip and fall in his Bathroom at his Residence and was subsequently brought to Yashoda Hospital for further care. On evaluation, including CT scans he was found to have a left Hip fracture (Extracapsular Neck of femur fracture). He would require left hip replacement for the same and the usual course of recovery for such cases is expected to be six to eight weeks,” the hospital said in a statement.

“He is being constantly monitored by a multi-disciplinary team including Orthopaedic, Anaesthesia, General Medicine, and Pain Medicine. His general condition is stable. The hospital will update his health status periodically,” it added.
Meanwhile, on the direction of Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Secretary of Health Medical and Family Welfare visited Yashoda Hospital to inquire about the health of former CM K Chandrashekar Rao.

While his daughter K Kavitha reported that the former Telangana chief minister had suffered a minor injury, Prime Minister Narendra Modi prayed for his recovery. “I’m sad to hear that KCR Garu, the former chief minister of Telangana, has sustained an injury. “I hope he heals quickly and stays healthy,” PM Modi wrote in a post on X. Additionally, on X, K Kavitha posted that former Telangana chief minister KCR had suffered a minor injury and was receiving medical attention from professionals.

Cong disparages BRS over EC’s withdrawal of permission for giving aid to Telangana farmers

The Congress attacked the BRS on Monday for the EC’s decision to revoke the Telangana government’s authorization to provide financial aid to farmers under the Rythu Bandhu Scheme. The Congress claimed that this decision was the consequence of the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led party’s “irresponsible and self-serving” strategy. The Election Commission (EC) withheld permission for the Telangana government to provide financial aid to farmers for rabi crops under the Rythu Bandhu Scheme after a state minister publicly announced that the minister had broken the model code. This prompted the Congress to launch an attack on the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

The state government was approved by the poll panel to pay the rabi installment under the model code of conduct provided that certain requirements were met. As a condition, the state was asked not to disclose the payment made during the poll code. “Due to the irresponsible and narrow self-serving approach of the BRS and Harish Rao, under the instructions of his boss KCR, the ECI has denied permission for the disbursement of the Rythu Bandhu installments,” K C Venugopal, general secretary of the Congress organization, wrote in a post on X. He asserted that the farmers were entitled to the money and that it was their just reward for their arduous labor throughout the previous year.

Delhi vs Centre ordinance row: Arvind Kejriwal to meet Telangana CM KCR on Saturday

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday in Hyderabad to seek his party Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s (BRS) support against the Centre’s ordinance which nullifies the Supreme Court order on services matters in the national capital.

“Meeting CM of Telengana tomorrow in Hyderabad to seek support against unconstitutional and undemocratic ordinance passed by BJP govt against the orders of SC,” Kejriwal tweeted. The Delhi Chief Minister is on a nationwide tour visiting different states and meeting leaders of various political parties to seek their support in Rajya Sabha to defeat the Bill when it is moved in the Upper House of the Parliament.

Kejriwal on Tuesday embarked on a nationwide tour to seek support from the Opposition parties against the ordinance brought by the central government on the transfers and postings of bureaucrats in the national capital.On Thursday, Delhi CM Kejriwal met Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar. Sharad Pawar assured his party’s support to AAP on the matter and said that talks will be held with other leaders to support Delhi Chief Minister in his effort.After his talks, Kejriwal said that if the Bharatiya Janata Party fails to pass the Bill in Rajya Sabha, it will imply that the “Narendra Modi government will not be able to return to power at the Centre after the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.”
“If the BJP is not able to pass the Bill in Rajya Sabha, then one should consider it a semi-final of 2024. The message will be that the Modi government is not returning in 2024,” the Delhi Chief Minister said.

BJP Telangana chief Bandi Sanjay to hold protest march against KCR govt

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Telangana unit chief Bandi Sanjay will hold a protest march against “unemployment” in the state on Saturday, the party said.

The launch of the “Nirudyoga March” from Warangal can be seen as Sanjay’s strong retaliation against the state government, as this was the same place from where he was arrested recently. BJP Spokesperson NV Subhash told that the march is scheduled to start from Kakatiya University to the Ambedkar Statue and will be joined by people from different walks of life.

Subash alleged that Telangana State Public Service Commission papers had been leaked by people who are close to state minister KT Rama Rao and the chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, claiming that 30 lakh job aspirants are waiting to get a job in the state. “Their dreams have been shattered. We have approached the court and demanded immediate action be taken against Rao. A sitting high court judge should be appointed to investigate the scam. Students who have appeared for the exam should be compensated,” the BJP leader said.

The next leg of his march will be from Mehboobnagar on 21 April, followed by Khammam, for which the dates are still being finalised. “I will be doing 10 rallies across the state and then concluding with a mega rally in Hyderabad,” Bandi Sanjay said.

“There are three demands. IT Minister KT Rama Rao should resign following the paper leak. We demand an inquiry into this by a sitting High Court judge and compensation of Rs 1 lakh for all the students affected by the leak,” Sanjay further elaborated.

KCR, Mann, Akhilesh, Kejriwal visit temple in Khammam

The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Khammam was visited by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao along with his Punjab and Delhi counterparts Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal, and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday. Earlier on Tuesday Kejriwal and Mann arrived in Telangana and will participate in Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) rally on Wednesday.

12 members of TPCC resigned in Telangana

Expressing disappointment as many as 12 members resign from the recently-formed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee.

Meanwhile, members resigned citing that over 50 percent of the PCC members are leaders who recently joined from Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

The leader who resigned is Mulugu MLA Seethakka, Ch. Vijaya Ramana Rao, K. Satyanarayana, Subhash Reddy, Patel Ramesh Reddy, Ch. Madhusudhan Reddy, Vem Narender Reddy, D. Sambaiah, Vajresh Yadav, Jangaiah Yadav, Ch. Venkatesh, S. Mallesh and Sashikala Yadava Reddy.

Moreover, the Congress leaders who worked for the last six years gave resignation letters. The disappointed members in resignation letters highlighted that the KCR has been running a “dictatorial rule” in the state. Members also said to dethrone KCR there is a necessity for a strong struggle.

However, Uttam Kumar alleged that the leaders who recently joined from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have been made PCC members.

The resignation letter has been submitted to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Malikarjun Kharge.

Furthermore, the AICC secretary and in-charge of Telangana Manickam Tagore also resignation has been sent.

CM KCR lays foundation stone for Hyderabad Express Metro

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao laid the foundation stone for Hyderabad Express Metro to Airport at Mindspace junction on Friday. The 31-km Airport Express Metro starts from Raidurg Metro Terminal Station and will have a maximum speed of 120Kmph. Meanwhile, a flight information display and information desk will be there and for ease of passengers, there will also be automatic fare collection gates for each station.

Accused Simhayaji released on bail in TRS MLAs poaching case

Simhayaji Swamy, a suspect in the TRS MLA poaching case, was released on bail on Wednesday morning after spending more than 40 days in judicial custody at Chanchalguda Central Jail.

On October 26, Simhayaji and two other people were detained by Hyderabad police at a farmhouse in Ranga Reddy on suspicion of attempting to snare MLAs from the state’s ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The TRS has previously reported to the police that the BJP was allegedly trying to steal its MLAs by luring them with money and contracts.

Following this, the Telangana Police detained three individuals, Simhayaji Swamy, Ramachandra Bharati, and Nanda Kumar, who were discovered at the farmhouse in Ranga Reddy on October 26. The leaders of the TRS had previously informed the police about the poaching attempt, which they claimed was being carried out by the BJP.

Later, the Telangana BJP petitioned the High Court to request that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or a special investigation team (SIT) be formed to conduct an impartial investigation into the TRS MLA poaching case against the party.

The Telangana government-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is looking into the alleged attempts by the BJP to poach TRS legislators, is also called BJP National General Secretary BL Santosh.

The High Court receives a report from the SIT, which is overseen by a judge and led by Hyderabad Police Commissioner C. V. Anand. The court further mandated that starting November 29th, the judge would only receive information about the investigation in a sealed envelope.

On November 3, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao released a video showing what he claimed was the BJP trying to steal his party’s legislators.

KCR accused the BJP of destroying all systems in the country, and said, “There are troubling situations in the country. Democracy is being killed in the country. I speak with great pain. I can’t believe that such evil can exist. Unemployment has increased. The value of the rupee has fallen. The BJP has destroyed the country in all fields.”
Later on November 6, Telangana BJP MLA Etela Rajender accused the KCR government of trying to “finish the opposition” by “purchasing” their legislators.

‘We will go to jail for the public’ says TRS leader Kalvakuntla Kavitha

Firing a fresh salvo on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Central government Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader Kalvakuntla Kavitha said they are conspiring against the ruling KCR government to bring it down.

Earlier on Thursday Kavitha addressed a press conference and said, “We will go to jail for the public. For eight years the opposition states have been targeted but we are not afraid and we will not stop exposing BJP.”

Meanwhile, Kavitha is a member of the Telangana Legislative Council and the daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR).

“We all are seeing what is happening in the country. At least nine states in the country where democratically elected governments were formed have been brought down and the BJP took the charge in all those states in the last eight years after the Modi government came to power in the Centre,” Kavitha said.

Moreover, the TRS leader also claimed that when there is elections are in any state ED arrives before the Prime Minister.

“ED arrives even before Modi Ji in those states. The same is happening with Telangana…The agencies have arrived here just before the elections,” Kavitha said.

At the end of 2023, the Telangana legislative assembly election is scheduled to elect all 119 members.

Kavitha further said, “We are not scared of anything…We welcome the agencies, and we will absolutely cooperate with them…but tell us what you (the Modi government) did for Telangana?”

Kevathi also responded to the reports mentioned in the report of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam

Through cheap politics BJP is conspiring against TRS leaders trying to defame them, said Kavitha.

“With all due respect, I would like to tell Modi Ji that we don’t care if you want to put us in jail. We are ready to go to jail, but we will not stop working for the people of the state,” Kavitha said.

However, talking about the KCR’s leadership Kavitha praised the Telangana government’s work and said the government is doing well.

“We exposed the BJP’s conspiracy to bring down the Telangana government and people of the state have already seen it. This action by agencies is only a reaction to it,” Kavitha claimed.

Nitish Kumar, KCR, video goes viral, BJP leader mocks

A video of the joint press conference held after K Chandrasekhar Rao, the chief minister of Telangana, met Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, on Wednesday has gone viral. It was when KCR was questioned about the opposition parties’ alliance for the 2024 Lok Sabha election and whether the Congress would have a part in it. While KCR is responding to the query in the video, Nitish Kumar implores him to brush off such inquiries. Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, was also present on stage.

“I have not seen such a press conference. KCR insulted Nitish Kumar,” BJP leader Giriraj Singh said. BJP’s Amit Malviya said it was KCR who got insulted. “Did KCR travel to Patna to get insulted like this? In a press interaction, Nitish Kumar didn’t even accord him the basic courtesy of completing his point. Nitish was dismissive of KCR’s pleas to let him finish. But then, that is Nitish Kumar. self-conceited. KCR asked for it…,” Malviya tweeted along with the video clip.

After the power shift in Bihar, where Nitish Kumar sided with the Congress and the RJD, which left the NDA alliance, KCR was questioned about his thoughts on Nitish Kumar running for prime minister in 2024. “Who am I to make this claim? If I mention something, someone might disagree. Why are you moving so quickly? Let’s sit down and discuss this first” said KCR. Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi got up from their seats in response to the query, possibly indicating that the news session was over. KCR told a reporter, “I’m sitting. Please take a seat.”

KCR motioned for Nitish Kumar, who was indicating that the press session was over with a smile on his face, to sit down.

“Why are you asking this question?” Nitish Kumar said as KCR was asked whether Rahul Gandhi would be the PM’s face of the joint opposition. As KCR started replying to this question, Nitish Kumar again got up and urged KCR to not indulge in this question.

“We will strive to bring all opposition parties together. We will sit and discuss. Whatever is decided in consensus, you will be informed in detail because no wedding takes place without the brahmin. Nothing can happen without you (media),” KCR said.

“Let’s go…these are all bogus,” Nitish Kumar told KCR, to which KCR asked him to sit down. “Aap iske chakkar mein mat pade (don’t fall into their traps),” Nitish Kumar said to KCR.

Telangana CM KCR slams BJP; advises people not to fall prey to BJP’s policies

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and advises people not to fall prey to BJP’s policies.

Earlier on Tuesday KCR inaugurated the District Collectorate office in Vikarabad.

“There is a need to protect Telangana so that the foxes do not come and eat it again. We need to see if it does not go back to the old system. We cannot let the conditions deteriorate again, and do not fall prey to their political interests. I fought for 14 years during the agitation. I went to the brink of death and achieved this state. We are implementing many welfare schemes. All these schemes should continue. Industries, IT, and agriculture should be advanced,” KCR said.

Speaking on the occasion KCR said, “Those at the Centre say that what we give are freebies. Some people with flags blocked my bus. What did they get done? Has BJP done any good for 8 years? People should discuss it. If we do not have a politically conscious society, we will be robbed. We were crushed in the hands of the united rulers. Farmers ate curd rice and died after consuming pesticides back then. We have to be vigilant and see those days do not come again.”

Meanwhile, attacking BJP KCR said no one has benefited from the central government.

“If you are fooled by the BJP flag, they will put meters for electricity in the fields and fill the bellies of big people. Should not the electricity in fields be given for free? Gas and petrol prices have increased. Banks are being robbed. Lakhs of crores of rupees have been looted,” KCR alleged.
