War 2 Teaser Out: Hrithik vs Jr NTR Promises an Action-Packed Showdown | Watch

With the much-awaited War 2 teaser finally out, fans are overjoyed for the release of the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. In the newest installment of the YRF spy universe, Hrithik will join NTR Jr.’s character. The character will possibly act as a rival to Hrithik’s character, Kabir.

The teaser was released on NTR Jr.’s birthday as a form of celebration for his birthday and his debut in Bollywood. Hrithick posted the teaser with the caption saying, “And so it begins, @tarak9999. Be prepared, there is no place for mercy. Welcome to Hell. Love, Kabir. #War2teaser #War2″. Replying to Hrithik Roshan, the Tollywood mega star tweeted, “Mercy doesn’t exist where I come from Kabir. I am ready for the WAR @iHrithik sir!!!”

The teaser opens with a voiceover by Jr NTR, where he describes his interest in Hrithik Roshan’s character, Kabir, whom he calls the best RAW agent and India’s greatest warrior. Even though he follows each and every action of Kabir, he points out that Kabir is unaware of him. In a foreboding tone, Jr NTR exclaims, “You don’t know me yet… but you will,” which cuts into a confrontation.

We see high-octane, visually lavish action sequences between Hrithik and Jr NTR, shot against exotic overseas locations. One quick yet impacting cut sees Kiara Advani in a bikini, building a romantic plot line between herself and Kabir. The teaser ends with Jr NTR’s intimidating declaration: “Prepare for war.”

Fan Reaction

Fans of the franchise are pumped up for the sequel of one of the biggest movies of 2019, expecting an explosion of action and drama between NTR Jr. and Hrithik. They are also excited for the newest addition to the YRF spy universe newest addition after Pathaan and Tiger 3.

On the other hand, fans also criticise the film’s VFX, stating it to be subpar and commenting that it looks rushed. Some fans also expressed that they missed Tiger Shroff from the previous film.

The content creator posted the video on Instagram, asking, “Did I spot an Indian celebrity in the Christmas market?” Jr NTR was seen in the clip, walking through the crowd in a black jacket to keep warm during the British winter.

Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt have shared screen space in the 2022 historical epic *RRR* directed by SS Rajamouli, but beyond that professional relation, something else is special about Jr NTR for Alia. She was talking to Jr NTR and filmmaker Karan Johar recently when she shared how, during her very first discussion on baby names with Ranbir Kapoor, it happened at Jr NTR’s home in Hyderabad.

Alia on bonding with Jr NTR:

This connect started when Taarak, out of courtesy, attended the *Brahmastra* press meet in Hyderabad. I think I was fully pregnant then. He said, ‘Ya ya, we’ll do the event, then after that, you all have to come to my house for dinner.’ We had such a lovely evening on the terrace, chatting. That was the first time we spoke about possible baby names in front of everyone. Ranbir said, ‘If it is a girl, it will be this. If it is a boy, it will be this,” Alia recalled. Jr NTR added, “I started praying, I wish it was Raha. And finally, there she is (laughs).”

Alia Bhatt and Jr NTR also spoke about the moment how the situation changes once someone becomes a parent, as they looked at their professional lives. Jnr NTR said after Abhay was born, she shed her star personality and started looking for creatively fulfilling projects that would justify the time she was away from her son. Alia also claimed that things have changed in her thinking after Raha’s birth, citing that as an actor, one becomes self-centered, but now she is very invested in another person. She also shares how she felt her next film Jigra, talking about a sister protecting her brother, was just what she needed at that point in time, when she was very protective of her newborn daughter.

Jigra is set to release on 11th of October. The makers have announced the release date, which has been postponed further with Vasan Bala directing the film and Alia with Vedang Raina playing siblings in it. Opting for the government hospital due to the high costs associated with private healthcare, Ananthalakshmi was treated with an innovative approach to maintain her calm and focus during the operation.

Film as a Distraction

To ease Ananthalakshmi’s anxiety, the medical team played scenes from Jr NTR’s film Adhurs, her favorite movie, throughout the procedure. The surgery, which lasted two and a half hours, was successful, and the doctors expect her to be discharged within five days.

Awake Craniotomy Technique

Awake craniotomy, initially developed for treating epilepsy, is now frequently used for tumor resection. This method allows neurosurgeons to maximize tumor removal while preserving neurological function, as the patient can provide immediate feedback.

According to a new announcement from the producers, Jr NTR’s highly anticipated film Devara will be released in two parts. It is logical for the producers to follow the trend of sequels and additional sections. Following the popularity of films such as Baahubali and Ponniyin Selvan, filmmakers are attempting to make the most of a single tale. The sequel to Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is already in the works, and there are several sequels to blockbuster films like Kaithi, Vikram, and others in the works. Now, Jr NTR’s Devara is the latest to join the fray.

Koratala Siva, the film’s director, stated on social media that the big-budget spectacle will be split into two parts since one film would not do the characters credit. “The film is set against the forgotten lands of coastal India, and the canvas is too large,” he explained. As we began shooting the film, the canvas showed itself and grew larger and larger. Every character in the film carries their own weight, and they must be investigated and defined in depth and complexity, which we cannot justify in a single scene. As a result, we decided to divide the plot and canvas into two sections.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recently made its membership invitations. And guess what? Indian film celebrities Ram Charan, Mani Ratnam, Karan Johar, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Chandrabose, and MM Keeravani have been invited by the organisation to be members.

‘RRR’ art director Sabu Cyril and cinematographer K.K. Senthil Kumar have also been invited. “The Academy is proud to welcome these artists and professionals into our membership,” Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang said in a statement, Variety reported.

“They represent extraordinary global talent across cinematic disciplines and have made a vital impact on the arts and sciences of motion pictures and on movie fans worldwide.”

Austin Butler, Ke Huy Quan, Keke Palmer, NT Rama Rao Jr, and music superstar Taylor Swift are also among the 398 artists and executives invited to join the membership of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

If all of this year’s invitees accept membership, it will bring the total number of overall Academy members to 10,817 (up from 10,665 last year), with 9,375 eligible to vote (a decrease from 9,665 due to deaths, retirements and moving to emeritus status) for the 96th Oscars, set to take place on March 10, 2024.

The 2023 class is 40 percent women. 34 percent belong to underrepresented ethnic/racial communities and 52 percent hail from 51 countries and territories outside the United States.

Other interesting statistics about this invitee class are four branches invited more women than men to join — casting directors, costume designers, makeup artists and hairstylists, and marketing and public relations. The Actors and Directors branches had most of their candidates hail from underrepresented ethnic and racial communities.

Eight filmmakers have been invited to multiple branches — Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”), Colm Bairead (“The Quiet Girl”), Edward Berger (“All Quiet on the Western Front”), Antonio Campos (“The Devil All the Time”), Lukas Dhont (“Close”), Ana Katz (“The Dog Who Wouldn’t be Quiet”) and Santiago Mitre (“Argentina, 1985”); however, they can only select one upon accepting membership.

In 2022, the Oscars invited 397 new members, including singer Billie Eilish, Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, “Belfast” stars Caitriona Balfe, Jamie Dornan, and Disney exec Dana Walden.

With the addition of this new member class, the Academy is now 34 percent women, 18 percent from underrepresented communities, and 20 percent from outside the U.S.

This year’s slate of awards contenders will have massive star power and legendary filmmakers in the mix such as Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” with Leonardo DiCaprio and Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune Part Two” with Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet.

Hrithik Roshan confirms collaboration with Jr NTR in War 2; Here’s what we know

Rumours were rife that the ‘RRR’ star Jr NTR will be making his big Bollywood debut with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan’s War 2. Now, Hrithik has confirmed the same on Jr NTR’s birthday. He took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “Happy Birthday [Jr NTR] Wishing you a joyous day and an action-packed year ahead. Awaiting you on the yuddhabhumi my friend. May your days be full of happiness and peace…until we meet Puttina Roju Subhakankshalu Mitrama.” The film is now expected to go on floors soon.

2019 film War was directed by very talened Siddharth Anand who has now delivered another blockbuster, Pathaan, and is working on his next with Hrithik Roshan, Fighter. The film also starred Tiger Shroff. War 2 will be directed by Ayan Mukerji and will mark the return of Hrithik Roshan as Major Kabir Dhaliwal. Yash Raj Films is yet to make a confirmation on Jr NTR starring in the film. Last month, trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted that War 2 will be the 7th film in the YRF Spy Universe and will follow the events of Tiger 3.

Say WHAT! James Gunn wants to work with Jr. NTR

Jr. NTR has created a lot of rave for his role in SS Rajamouli’s RRR. His act has impressed James Gunn as well. During a recent interaction with News18.com, the Guardians of the Galaxy director revealed that he was very impressed by Jr NTR and would love to work with him. When the director was asked if he had any particular role in mind for Jr NTR, Gunn said he will have to figure that out and that it would take a while.

The director also expressed his love for Bollywood and revealed that the musical element in Guardians of the Galaxy is inspired by Bollywood. Further, the director added he loves that Bollywood movies are all about art and entertainment, and there are no rules about what a movie has to be, it could be a lot of different things, and that’s true about the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

Meanwhile, James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is ready for release on May 5. It is the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), and the 32nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is written and directed by James Gunn and stars an ensemble cast.

Saif Ali Khan joins Jr NTR for the shoot of ‘NTR 30’

Saif Ali Khan began filming for ‘NTR 30’ with Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor on Tuesday. This movie marks Janhvi’s debut in the South industry. Taran Adarsh posted two photos from the set. Saif and NTR posed for the camera in one frame. They were seen conversing with each other.

Taking to Twitter, trade analyst Taran Adrash shared the news with followers. The tweet read, “NTR JR – JANHVI KAPOOR – FILM: SAIF ALI KHAN STARTS SHOOT TODAY… #SaifAliKhan joins the cast of #NTR30, begins filming with #NTRJr today… Costars #JanhviKapoor… #KoratalaSiva directs… 5 April 2024 release. #JrNTR

The film’s production began on March 23. S. S. Rajamouli, the acclaimed filmmaker, was present for the muhurat shot. Koratala Siva, the director of ‘Janatha Garage,’ helms the directorial chair for the project. Anirudh Ravichander will be in charge of the music, R Rathnavelu will be manning the camera, Sabu Cyril will lead the art, and Sreekar Prasad will be the editor of the film ‘NTR-30’. For VFX, supervisor Brad Minnich of Hollywood fame has come on board.

Janhvi shared some special snaps as the movie went to the floors. She was looking pretty in a green saree. Sharing the pictures, she wrote, “Happy day. The start of the most special journey, #NTR30”

Saif will be next seen in the upcoming pan-Indian film ‘Adipurush, alongside Kriti Sanon and South actor Prabhas. Apart from that, he also has the Hindi version of the popular Nordic drama series ‘The Bridge’ in his kitty.

Janhvi Kapoor starts shooting for Jr NTR’s NTR 30, shares pic from sets

Boney Kapoor’s darling daughter Janhvi Kapoor is one of the most loved actresses in Bollywood. On Thursday morning, the actress took to her official Instagram handle and informed her fans and followers that she has started working on Jr NTR’s NTR 30. She shared a couple of pictures including a picture of the clapboard from her mahurat shot. Along with the pictures, she wrote, “The start of the most special journey #NTR30.”

On the other hand, Maheep Kapoor commented, “Congratulations my love.” Recently, in an interview, Janhvi said that she manifested her role in NTR 30, and she always wanted to work with Jr NTR.

For the unversed, the film marks Jr NTR’s second movie with filmmaker Koratala Siva. They previously worked together in the 2016 action-drama, Janatha Garage. Koratala Siva revealed the backdrop of the film. He said that it will be his best work till date.

India makes history after winning much-coveted Oscar for Naatu Naatu, Elephant Whisperers

India created a historic moment at the 95th Academy Awards on Monday morning (India Time) as the nation won its first ever Academy Award in the category of “best original song for SSS Rajamouli’s directed movie RRR.

Notably, RRR won the Oscar in the category of Best Original Song for “Naatu Naatu”. During the Academy Awards, actress Deepika Padukone took to the stage as she introduced the musical performance by Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.

The actress was revealed as one of the presenters in the first round of announcements. Apart from Deepika, other presenters at the Oscars 2023 include Halle Berry, John Travolta, Harrison Ford, and others.

Deepika became the third Indian to attend the event after Persis Khambatta and Priyanka Chopra, which was held at the Dolby Theatres in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The actress opened the performance as she expressed that “Do you know Naatu? Because if you don’t, then you are about to.” After which, Indian reality TV star and American dancer Lauren Gottlieb took over the stage.

Both musicians, Kala Bhairav and Rahul Sipligunj, were seen dressed in traditional attire, Black Kurta and Dhoti. The two sent chills down everyone’s spine as they sang the electrifying global smash hit song live on the stage of the 95th Academy Awards.

She said that right now was an ‘amazing time’ for Indian cinema as the audience wants to see films ‘from every part’. Aishwarya said it was ‘evident’ that people are lapping up cinema from across the country.Aishwarya said that the language barrier is being broken amongst the entire country and films from all regions and languages are being welcomed by the entire nation. Over the past few months, many non-hindi films have been box office blockbusters over hindi films.
