In the letter, Sukesh, who claims to be in a relationship with Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, shared his plans to invest $135 million (₹1130 crore) in a Los Angeles studio as a tribute to his “lady love.”

Sukesh refers to Trump as “big bro” and recalls a meeting with him from a decade ago, where Trump advised him to “Accept the World the way it is or see it the way you want it to be.” Sukesh expressed his gratitude for the advice, thanking Trump for always motivating him and never judging him during their encounters.

In his letter, Sukesh also revealed that his company, LS Holdings and LS Gaming LLC, intends to expand its investment in the US to $500 million (₹4200 crore) over the next two years.

A notable part of the letter mentioned his relationship with Jacqueline Fernandez. These messages varied from assurances of aiding her “out of this mess” to peculiar requests for her to wear a black dress to signal that she had read his messages.

Jacqueline Fernandez has taken legal action against these messages and their media coverage, citing distress caused by their dissemination. In response, Chandrashekar has claimed that her plea has omitted crucial facts from the case and expressed readiness to face punishment if any of his messages to her were threatening or intimidating.
Recent WhatsApp chats obtained bymedia reports indicate Chandrashekar sending unconventional messages to the actor, promising her stardom and hinting at a forthcoming deal involving a prominent filmmaker.

In one instance, Chandrashekar asked Fernandez to wear black attire so he could confirm she had seen his messages, expressing confusion over her avoidance and assuring her of his responsibility to extricate her from the situation. He cautioned her against individuals using persuasive tactics.
Fernandez, through a petition filed in the Delhi High Court, seeks to dismiss the case and supplementary charges against her, portraying herself as an innocent victim of Chandrashekar’s targeted actions. Her petition denies any involvement in aiding Chandrashekar in alleged money laundering and argues against her prosecution under relevant sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

However, the Enforcement Directorate has opposed Fernandez’s petition, asserting that she hasn’t refuted claims of receiving gifts worth Rs 7.12 crore from Chandrashekar and gifts worth Rs 1.12 crore being sent to her sister in Sri Lanka. The agency maintains allegations of receiving and retaining proceeds of crime, which it deems sufficient for money laundering proceedings.

The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) following Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez’s plea seeking the quashing of the ECIR (FIR) and supplementary chargesheet filed in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The court fixed January 29, 2024, for further hearings after hearing arguments.

During the proceedings, the ED objected to Jacqueline’s plea, claiming that she continued to accept gifts from Sukesh despite knowing about his criminal history. Senior advocate Siddharth Aggarwal argued that the petition is an attempt to stall proceedings, citing Sukesh’s current imprisonment and involvement in extortion and fraud. Aggarwal emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing and that the trial cannot begin until it is completed.

In her plea, Jacqueline claimed to be an innocent victim of Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s targeted attack, asserting that the evidence presented by the ED would support her innocence. She argued that there is no indication of her involvement in aiding Sukesh in money laundering offenses. Additionally, she accused the ED of conducting a biased investigation by not arraigning other individuals, such as Nora Fatehi, who received gifts from Sukesh.

Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan national residing in India since 2009, emphasized her compliance with legal procedures and expressed readiness to abide by any conditions imposed by the court.

The Delhi High Court has granted bail to Avtar Singh Kochar, an accused in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case, which allegedly involves Sukesh Chandrasekar and Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez. Kochar, who has been in custody for the past two years, secured bail after Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma took into account his custody duration, age, and medical conditions.

The High Court imposed conditions on Kochar’s release after granting bail in both the money laundering and MCOCA cases. In each case, he must provide a personal bond of Rs 5 lakh as well as two surety bonds of comparable amounts. Furthermore, he is required to obtain prior court permission before leaving the country, refrain from directly or indirectly influencing any witnesses, and maintain regular contact with the Investigating Officer (IO) of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) by providing his phone number and marking his presence in the EOW office.

Kochar, 69, is accused in the MCOCA case, which was initiated by the EOW on Aditi Singh’s complaint, of Rs 200 crore extortion. Sukesh Chandrasekar and other individuals associated with the case were arrested after Delhi Police filed a charge sheet. Following that, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted an investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Following the ED’s charge sheet, a special court in New Delhi summoned Jacqueline Fernandez and other accused persons. Fernandez appeared before the court and was granted bail by the special judge at Patiala House Court. Both cases, associated with the alleged scandal, remain under consideration before a special judge.

Jacqueline Fernandez on Monday appeared at the national capital’s Patiala House court in connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Pinky Irani, who is said to be Chandrashekhar’s close assistant and who introduced him to Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez, was detained by the Delhi Police on November 30 in Mumbai. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) claims that the accused Pinky Irani used to represent the main accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar as a business tycoon and used to play a key role in establishing communication between various Bollywood celebrities and the main accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

Additionally, it is claimed that Pinky Irani, the defendant, played a key role in disposing of the money that was demanded from the complainant and other sources.

When Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez said she wanted to provide some crucial information in the Rs 200 crore fraud case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, Delhi Police also recorded her statement in court under Section 164.

In a chargesheet submitted in 2021, the Delhi Police Economic Offence Wing (EOW) named 14 defendants, including Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, his wife Leena Maria Paul, and others. The Chargesheet was submitted in accordance with a number of IPC sections and the stipulations of the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA).

Leena, Sukesh, and others allegedly exploited Hawala networks and established Shell businesses to store the money gained from criminal activity.

In addition to continuing investigations against Chandrasekhar in other cases across the nation, the Delhi Police’s EOW has filed an FIR against him for allegedly defrauding Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh, the spouses of former Ranbaxy promoters, of Rs 200 crores.

Sukesh Chandrasekar, a prisoner in Rohini, is accused of extorting more than Rs 200 crore from the spouses of erstwhile Religare promoters Malvinder and Shivinder Singh, who are currently being held in Tihar prison, according to the prosecution.

According to investigations, the accused Sukesh Chandrasekar defrauded Malvinder’s wife Japna Singh and Shivinder’s wife Aditi Singh out of numerous crores of rupees. Under the guise of an officer from the Union Law Ministry, the women claimed that they had paid the conman millions of rupees to seek bail for their husbands and ensure their safety.

After pretending to be a government representatives and offering to secure bail for Aditi’s husband, Chandrasekhar and his friends allegedly took money from her. According to sources, while Chandrasekhar was being held in Rohini jail, he convinced Aditi to transfer money by pretending to be a central government official through a hoax call and promising to handle bail for her husband.

Both Chandrasekhar and his actor wife, Leena Maria Paul, were arrested by the Delhi Police in September last year for their alleged role in the duping case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) office summoned Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi on Friday for questioning in connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

On September 15, Nora and Pinky Irani—who allegedly introduced Nora and Jacqueline Fernandez to the imprisoned conman—were both interrogated by the Delhi Police’s Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) for more than four hours. On November 15, however, the Patiala House Court granted Jacqueline interim bail in exchange for a personal bond in the amount of Rs. 2 lakh and one surety in the same amount.

On September 12, 2021, and October 14, 2021, statements made by Nora Fatehi were notably recorded under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, in which she claimed to have received a booking for a charitable event. Leena Paulose had called Nora’s husband, who had put the phone on speaker, and he had thanked her and mentioned that they were fans of hers, according to Nora. She then announced that as a sign of their love and generosity, they would give her a brand-new BMW car.

According to the ED, searches were carried out throughout the inquiry at a number of locations connected to Sukesh Chandrashekar and his colleagues. 16 high-end cars that were either registered in the names of Leena Paulose’s companies or in the names of other parties were seized during the search under Section 17 of the PMLA. It is further argued that it has come to light that Sukesh knowingly set up the framework for layering and transferring the proceeds of crime, actively taking part in the money laundering process.

Delhi court defers hearing in Jacqueline Fernandez money laundering case for December 12

A Delhi court on Thursday deferred the hearing of the alleged money laundering case involving actress Jacqueline Fernandez and conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar case for December 12. The hearing for the alleged money laundering case took place today in the early morning hours at the Patiala House Court involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Earlier, on November 15, she was granted bail by a Delhi court in connection with the case. while granting bail to the actress, the Delhi Court said that it is yet to be investigated that the gifts she received from conman Sukesh are proceeds of crime or not. The actress was entitled to relief as she was not arrested during the investigation in the case, the court ruled.

Special judge Shailendra Malik observed that economic offences are more serious because of money laundering, to the tune of Rs 200 crore in the present case, as they affect not only the economy but also the confidence of the general public. “To my mind, it cannot be taken to assume that the accused applicant try to be free away from India,” the court said.

The court also said such apprehensions raised on behalf of the ED are of no relevance now as her passport is with the investigation agency.

A Delhi court on Tuesday granted actor Jacqueline Fernandez bail in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekar on a personal bond of 2 lakh.

On November 11, special judge Shailendra Malik had said the order was not ready and extended the interim protection granted to Fernandez, a Sri Lankan national, till Tuesday

After hearing from lawyers representing both the actor and the Enforcement Directorate, the court on Thursday had deferred its decision (ED).

The central agency’s decision not to arrest Fernandez during the course of the case inquiry had been called into doubt by the court during the arguments. “Despite issuing a LOC, why haven’t you (ED) detained Jacqueline yet throughout the investigation? Other suspects are incarcerated. The special judge had questioned why different standards were being used.

You can’t have a pick-and-choose policy. There must be reasons for not arresting (an accused),” the court remarked.

Responding to the court’s poser, advocate Shailesh N Pathak, appearing for the agency, said that a Lookout Circular (LoC) was already open against the actor and so the Investigating Officer (IO) did not exercise his power of arrest.

In the supplementary charge sheet, Fernandez, who had previously been subpoenaed by the ED in connection with the investigation, was for the first time listed as an accused.

She was not listed as an accused in either the original charge sheet or the supplemental charge sheet from the ED.

The specifics of the remarks made by Fernandez and fellow actor Nora Fatehi were, however, disclosed in the records.

‘Why not arrest her?’, court on Jacqueline Fernandez’s bail hearing

Delhi court heard Jacqueline Fernandez’s bail request in relation to the 200 crore money laundering case and questioned why the Bollywood actor had not yet been detained. The decision regarding the actor’s bail request has been postponed until Friday. The actor was present at the hearing in court.

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the lawsuit’s primary accuser, made controversial charges against the AAP and AAP leaders, giving the case political significance ahead of the election season.

Jacqueline’s bail request was earlier disputed by the ED, who claimed she attempted to leave the country. The ED issued a watch notice against Jacqueline last year, and the star was required to obtain court approval before leaving the country.

Jacqueline had already been given conditional bail in the case. The court heard a standard bail plea today. In its response opposing Jacqueline’s normal bail request, the Enforcement Directorate said that she never cooperated with the inquiry and only disclosed the information when presented with evidence. Within ten days of meeting Sukesh, Jacqueline learned of his criminal history. She is a Bollywood actress with significant financial resources, which gives her the high status and influence mentioned in the ED. She is not an ordinary person.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar has issued media remarks while the lawsuit is ongoing, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party of stealing his money.

“My client (Sukesh Chandrashekhar) has received constant threats and pressure to withdraw complaints filed before the Lieutenant Governor’s office against the Aam Aadmi Party, Satyendar Jain, Arvind Kejriwal, and Kailash Gehlot, and also to retract from disclosure statements given to the EOW and ED during the investigation of the above-said case,” Sukesh’s lawyer AK Singh said.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Ram Setu’ perform better than Ajay Devgn’s ‘Thank God’

The producers of “Ram Setu,” featuring Akshay Kumar, have benefited from the movie’s release around the Diwali holiday.

According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, “Ram Setu,” which debuted in theatres on October 25, following Diwali, made Rs 15.25 crore on its first day of sales.

Ram Setu Teaser out, Akshay Kumar seen on a mission

The creators of the upcoming movie Ram Setu, starring Akshay Kumar, debuted the teaser on Tuesday. The two-minute clip offered an overview of Akshay’s three-day search and rescue attempt for Ram Setu. In the National Treasure-style action adventure, which also has Nushratt Bharuccha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nassar, and Satya Dev in significant roles, Akshay plays an archaeologist.

The video opened with a court session when it was revealed that the administration had requested authorization from the Supreme Court to destroy Ram Setu. In the video, Nassar claimed that India is based on the belief in Lord Ram and questioned how anyone could contest this religion. He assigns Akshay to go on an archaeological dig at Ram Setu.

According to the Ramayana, Lord Ram and his army constructed the bridge to get to Lanka and rescue his wife Sita, who had been abducted by Lanka’s King Ravana.

Abhishek Sharma is the director of Ram Setu, which he also co-produced with Lyca Productions, Abundantia Entertainment, Amazon Prime Video, and Cape of Good Films. The movie has been in the works for a while; it was filmed near Ooty, Daman & Diu, and Mumbai. On October 25, it is expected to open in theatres.

Jacqueline Fernandez granted bail in 200 crore extortion case

In the 200 crore extortion case, Jacqueline Fernandez received a momentary reprieve when she was given an interim release. The primary defendant in the case is imprisoned conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

The Patiala court in Delhi has granted interim bail to the actor for a bond of ₹50,000. The subsequent hearing in the case would be held on October 22. Jacqueline was interrogated for over 7 hours by the Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing.

The con man is said to have been friends with the 37-year-old Sri Lankan actress, who received many expensive gifts from him including luxury bags, clothes, jewellery, etc. worth Rs. 5.72 crores. The actor also told the ED that Sukesh had hired private jets as well as booked helicopter rides for her.

Earlier, the actress denied her friendship with the con man but after the intimate pictures of the actress with Sukesh surfaced on the internet she accepted dating him. The alleged pictures were taken in April-June of 2022.

Her friendship with Chandrashekhar – accused in more than 10 cases – started on WhatsApp in January 2021, and she had secretly met the conman on several occasions at a well-known hotel in Chennai and other places, she had told the officers, the report further highlighted.

The actor had admitted before the officers that the jailed conman had paid a huge amount of money to fashion designer Leepakshi, for designing exclusive costumes for her. The ED will now interrogate her designer as well.

The Patiala House Court in Delhi has summoned actress Jacqueline Fernandez and ordered her to appear in court in relation to a 200 crore extortion case. Sukesh Chandrasekhar, a conman, is connected to the case. Jacqueline has also been listed as a suspect by the Enforcement Directorate. On September 26, the actor was asked to appear in court.

Reportedly, Jacqueline has been ordered to appear before the Patiala House court next month after the court “took cognizance of the supplemental chargesheet filed in the matter lately.” Sukesh Chandrasekhar is accused of extortion and money laundering in this case. Jacqueline was designated as an accused in the Enforcement Directorate’s case on August 17. After photos of the two appeared online, the actor was said to be dating the conman.

Sukesh was accused by the ED of using money extorted from prominent individuals, including former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh’s wife Aditi Singh, to buy gifts for Jacqueline. The agency has questioned Jacqueline several times in this instance, the most recent time being in June. In addition to the 15 lakh dollars in cash, the ED temporarily attached the actor’s finances under the PMLA in April because it deemed them to be “proceeds of crime.”

The actor argued that her fixed deposits were made with her own money, not Sukesh’s favours, in her response to the court through her legal team.
