Officials say the attackers spoke Urdu and shot civilians refusing to prove religious identity. Probe intensifies across regions.
</excerpt>

Investigators probing the Pahalgam terror attack have identified five terrorists, including three Pakistani nationals and two residents of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials confirmed the identities on Wednesday, marking a critical step in tracking down the perpetrators of the region’s deadliest terror strike in nearly two decades.

Pakistani Operatives Trained Across the Border

The Pakistani nationals identified are Asif Fauji (alias Musa), Suleman Shah (alias Yunus), and Abu Talha (alias Asif). Intelligence reports reveal these men received extensive training in Pakistan before infiltrating into India. Authorities said, “Fauji and Shah have operated in Jammu and Kashmir for some time and played roles in previous attacks, including one in Poonch.”

Local Terror Links from Anantnag and Pulwama

Investigators also named Adil Gurri, a Bijbehara resident who traveled to Pakistan in 2018, and Ahsan from Pulwama, who did the same year. Both are suspected of undergoing training there and re-entering India to join this operation.

Survivors Say Attackers Spoke in Urdu Before Opening Fire

According to survivor accounts, the attackers communicated in Urdu and demanded religious identification. “Any tourist who refused to comply was shot at close range,” officials stated. The lack of surveillance cameras near Baisaran meadows has made it difficult to gather visual evidence.

Terrorists Suspected to Have Escaped to Pir Panjal Hills

Authorities believe the terrorists fled towards the high-altitude regions of Pir Panjal. Investigators are now relying heavily on survivor testimonies. The role of Saifullah Kasuri, a close associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed, is also under scrutiny.

Kasuri’s Video Adds to Suspicion

Officials are examining a video clip of Saifullah Kasuri dated February 2, in which he declared, “Kashmir will become a ‘holy land’ by February 2, 2026,” and warned of intensified militant operations. He added, “In the coming days, the Mujahideen will intensify their attacks and Kashmir will be liberated.”

</excerpt>

The family of Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, a Turkish-born American human rights activist killed by Israel in the occupied West Bank, pleaded with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday to initiate a U.S. investigation into her death but received no assurances, according to her husband.

Eygi, 26, was shot and killed on September 6 while participating in a protest march in the town of Beita against Jewish settlement expansion in the West Bank. After meeting with Blinken, her husband, Hamid Ali, told reporters that while Blinken was attentive, he did not offer any guarantees regarding a U.S. probe, urging the family to wait for Israel to finish its investigation. “He was very deferential to the Israelis,” Ali said. “It felt like he was saying his hands were tied and they weren’t able to really do much.” There was no clear timeline for when Israel would complete its inquiry, Ali added.

Must Read: US: Wisconsin School Shooting Kills Two, Injures Six

State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller confirmed that Blinken told the family that Israel had recently informed the U.S. that it was finalizing its investigation and that the State Department would promptly share any findings with them. “With respect to a United States investigation… that would be in the remit of the Justice Department,” Miller said.

Israel has acknowledged that its troops shot Eygi, but claims it was an unintentional act during a demonstration that turned violent. Eygi’s family believes she was targeted because of her activism.

Although Washington has condemned Eygi’s killing and the recent rise in attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank as Israel continues its war against Hamas in Gaza, the U.S. has not announced any major policy changes toward Israel. The International Court of Justice and most countries consider Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories and the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank to be illegal, a stance Israel denies, citing historical and biblical ties to the region.

Mumbai Police, collaborating with the Cyber Police Station, have dispatched a team to Raipur to further probe the matter. The case has been registered under Sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the BNS, marking it as a serious offense. This incident follows similar threats made recently against close friend of Shah Rukh Khan, actor Salman Khan, raising concerns about the safety of Bollywood figures. Authorities are working swiftly to trace the caller and ensure heightened security for the actor.

</excerpt>

A man from Haryana has been arrested by Navi Mumbai police for allegedly surveying actor Salman Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel last February.

The police registered an FIR on April 24, reporting a conspiracy to attack the actor at his farmhouse. This marks the second attempt following a shooting incident outside his Bandra residence on April 14. The charge sheet reveals that the accused was offered ₹25 lakh to execute the attack, with plans to acquire weapons from Pakistan.

Tip-off and Arrests

The plot was disrupted when senior inspector Nitin Thakare received a tip-off about the suspects’ activities, leading to the arrest of five individuals involved in the case. The main accused, identified as Sukhbir Balbir Singh, alias Sukha, was allegedly an arms supplier who aimed to connect with a Pakistan-based contact named Dogar for arms procurement.

Navi Mumbai police had been searching for Sukha, eventually locating him at a hotel in Panipat, where he had changed his appearance by growing his hair and beard. Investigations indicated that 16 to 17 people were involved in the recce operation in Panvel. In June, the police arrested four individuals linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi: Dhananjay Tapesingh (alias Ajay Kashyap), Gaurav Bhatia (alias Nahvi), Vapsi Khan (alias Waseem Chikna), and Rizwan Khan.

Gang’s Contract and Weaponry

According to the chargesheet against the five accused, the Bishnoi gang placed a ₹25 lakh contract on Salman Khan’s life, planning to execute the attack either during a film shoot or when the actor left his Panvel farmhouse. The conspiracy is believed to have developed between August 2023 and April 2024, with intentions to procure advanced weapons from Pakistan, including AK-47s, AK-92s, M16 rifles, and the Turkey-made Zigana pistol, which was used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

The gang reportedly communicated through a WhatsApp group comprising 15-16 members, including Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, Kashyap, Bhatia, Cheena, and Javed Khan. The Navi Mumbai police identified Sukha and Dogar from Pakistan as the arms suppliers. The plan also included heightened surveillance, with around 60 to 70 individuals monitoring Khan’s movements, as noted in the chargesheet.

Why Salman Khan Is Under The Radar?

Salman Khan has been under threat from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is thought to be involved in both the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai incidents. Bishnoi claims his targeting of Salman Khan originates from a 1998 incident when the actor shot blackbucks, which are sacred to the Bishnoi community, during a film shoot in Rajasthan.

</excerpt>

In a tragic incident, two girls, aged 18 and 15, were found hanging from a tree in Bhagautipur village, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday morning. The local police suspect suicide, but investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding their deaths.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Alok Priyadarshi, the girls were reportedly close friends and used a single dupatta to hang themselves. “Upon receiving information, we immediately reached the site to investigate. The girls appeared to have climbed the tree together and tied the dupatta to a branch,” SP Priyadarshi said. He added that the initial findings suggest suicide, but the postmortem report will provide more clarity.

Pappu, the father of one of the deceased girls, shared his account of the incident. He mentioned that after returning from a temple visit, the girls had told him they were going back for a late-night program. “I was tired from working on the farm and went to sleep. When the program ended around midnight, I couldn’t find them. I searched everywhere but found no trace of them,” he said.

It was only the next morning that a villager discovered the bodies hanging from a tree in a nearby field. Pappu suspects foul play, claiming that someone may have murdered the girls before staging the scene. “I believe someone killed them and then hanged them. However, I don’t have enmity with anyone,” he added.

The police recovered a mobile phone and SIM card at the scene, which are currently under investigation. The family has filed a case, seeking to uncover the truth behind the incident.

Further investigations are ongoing, with the police looking into all possible angles, including the possibility of foul play or coercion. The postmortem results are awaited for a more definitive conclusion.

</excerpt>

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday called the collapse of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue at Rajkot Fort “unfortunate” and announced that a thorough investigation would be conducted by officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Navy on August 27. Shinde stated that the statue, which was damaged due to strong winds, will be reinstalled at the same location.

“The incident is unfortunate. The statue, designed and erected by the Navy, fell due to winds reaching speeds of around 45 km/h. Tomorrow, PWD and Navy officials will inspect the site to determine the cause. I dispatched Public Works Minister Ravindra Chavan as soon as I learned of the situation. We will identify the reasons and reinstall the statue at the same place,” Shinde said.

The statue, which was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rajkot Fort in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, on December 4, 2023, has been a subject of controversy following its collapse.

In response, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule demanded accountability from the contractor responsible for the statue’s construction. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sule urged authorities to blacklist the contractor, emphasizing the need for an investigation into the statue’s poor quality.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut criticized the incident, taking a dig at Prime Minister Modi. Raut remarked, “The rush to inaugurate the statue ahead of the Lok Sabha elections seems to have led to substandard work. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was disrespected for political gain.”

The investigation is expected to shed light on whether any negligence contributed to the statue’s collapse.

</excerpt>

A man identified as Samuel Masih was beaten to death in Gurdaspur, Punjab, in what authorities believe was an attempt to exorcise a demon from his body.

Samuel Masih, a father of three who had reportedly been suffering from seizures, became the target of a violent exorcism after his family called a pastor to their home. The pastor, identified as Jacob Masih, also known as Jakki, claimed that Samuel was possessed and initiated the exorcism.

According to the family, Pastor Jacob Masih, along with eight associates, brutally assaulted Samuel on the night of August 21, under the guise of expelling the demon. After the beating, Samuel was left on a cot, where his family later found him dead.

The following day, the family buried Samuel’s body in the village cemetery. However, they later decided to take legal action against the pastor and filed a complaint with the police, prompting an investigation.

On Saturday, police exhumed Samuel’s body for a post-mortem examination under the supervision of Duty Magistrate Inderjit Kaur. A case has been registered against Jacob Masih, Baljeet Singh Sonu, and eight others.

DSP Kulwant Singh confirmed that an investigation is ongoing into the circumstances surrounding Samuel Masih’s death.

</excerpt>

The investigation into the alleged rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital is now focusing on a personal diary kept by the victim, which was handed over to authorities by her parents. In addition to this diary, a doctor’s notepad is also being examined for potential leads, according to sources who spoke to CNN-News18. The diary is believed to contain crucial information regarding the events leading up to her death.

Investigators are scanning the pages to determine if the victim had any interactions, threats, or altercations with the accused, Sanjay Roy. The agency has compiled a list of around 40 individuals, including doctors and police officers, for questioning, with more than 20 people already interviewed. A couple of psychologists from New Delhi also traveled to Kolkata on Saturday to assist in the questioning.

Separate teams from the central investigating agency have visited both the crime scene at RG Kar Hospital and the barracks of the Kolkata Police’s Armed Forces fourth battalion in Salt Lake, where the prime suspect, civic volunteer Sanjay Roy, was staying.

In response to protests by doctors, nursing staff, and others against the alleged crime, the Union Home Ministry has instructed state police forces to provide situation reports every two hours. The ministry emphasized the importance of monitoring law and order during the protests.

Protests have been ongoing, with women medics marching on Saturday carrying placards that read, “I don’t want to be the next victim.” Hundreds of healthcare professionals, including doctors and resident doctors, participated in the march, demanding a central law to prevent violence against healthcare workers. They began their march from Lady Hardinge Medical College, and after a sit-in at Connaught Place, continued to Jantar Mantar for a candlelight vigil.

Non-emergency services, including OPDs, diagnostics, and elective surgeries, have been disrupted across city-based health facilities like AIIMS, Safdarjung, and RML hospitals since Monday. The situation worsened as private institutions such as Sir Ganga Ram, Fortis, and Apollo joined the protests, following the Indian Medical Association’s (IMA) call for a 24-hour nationwide strike.

The IMA has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene, seeking a comprehensive overhaul of working conditions for resident doctors, a central law to prevent violence against healthcare workers, and the declaration of hospitals as safe zones with mandatory security. They also demand a thorough investigation into the incident and appropriate compensation for the victim’s family.

The CBI has continued its questioning of Dr. Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, for a second consecutive day. Ghosh, who resigned two days after the doctor’s body was discovered on August 9, has been asked about his actions and communications on the night of the incident, including his first response and how the victim’s family and police were informed.

The government’s promise on Saturday to form a committee to suggest measures for improving healthcare worker safety has not appeased the protesting doctors. Despite the assurance, OPD services remain disrupted nationwide as doctors continue their strike. The IMA is considering the government’s statement and will respond after consulting with its state branches. The AIIMS Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA) expressed skepticism, noting that similar committees in the past have failed to produce significant results. They have decided to continue the strike, halting academic activities, elective OPDs, wards, and OT services, while maintaining emergency services.

BJP Goalpara district president Bhriguranjan Rabha confirmed that the body found had been identified as Jonali Nath, the Gopalpara district secretary.

VV Rakesh Reddy, Superintendent of Police of Goalpara district, said that the leader’s body had been recovered near the National Highway on Sunday night. “We have sent the body for post-mortem to the district civil hospital.
However, police officials suspect that Nath was killed in a “planned manner” and her body was subsequently dumped near the highway. Party colleagues took to Twitter to express their shock over Nath’s demise. The spokesperson for Assam BJP, Jury Sharma Bordoloi said Nath was known for her “unwavering commitment and tireless efforts”. “We are filled with sorrow, yet we remain hopeful that a thorough investigation will be conducted to shed light on the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise,” Sharma tweeted.

</excerpt>

The West Bengal government has filed a petition with the Supreme Court, challenging the order of the Calcutta High Court. The High Court had declined to grant a stay on the investigation conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding an alleged municipality recruitment scam. The government’s lawyer, Advocate Sunil Fernandes, requested an urgent listing of the plea before a bench comprising justices Sudhanshu Dhulia and KV Viswanathan. Fernandes argued that the accused individuals require protection, as the investigative agencies continue their proceedings.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta objected to the state government’s plea, questioning how a state could file a petition against an order related to a CBI or ED probe. He suggested that such a plea would be more understandable if it were filed by an accused party. The court decided to hear the matter after the vacation period, setting the date for July 3, and instructed the lawyer to mention it again at that time.

In its petition, the West Bengal government challenged the interim order issued on May 22, 2023, by the Division Bench of the Calcutta High Court. The bench had refused to grant interim relief to stay the order passed on April 21 by Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay, which was subsequently modified by the judgment dated May 12 issued by Justice Amrita Sinha.

“The Impugned Order while failing to grant stay on the investigation conducted by the CBI and ED relating to the alleged ‘Municipality recruitment scam’, has also proceeded to ignore the law laid down by this Court in a catena of cases,” the plea stated.

</excerpt>

A special prosecutor found that the FBI rushed into its investigation of ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and relied too much on raw and unconfirmed intelligence as he concluded a four-year probe that fell far short of the former president’s prediction that the “crime of the century” would be uncovered.
The report on Monday from special counsel John Durham represents the long-awaited culmination of an investigation that Trump and allies had claimed would expose massive wrongdoing by law enforcement and intelligence officials.Instead, Durham’s investigation delivered underwhelming results, with prosecutors securing a guilty plea from a little-known FBI employee but losing the only two criminal cases they took to trial. The roughly 300-page report catalogs what Durham says were a series of missteps by the FBI and Justice Department as investigators undertook a politically explosive probe in the heat of the 2016 election into whether the Trump campaign was colluding with Russia to tip the outcome.
It criticised the FBI for opening a full-fledged investigation based on “raw, unanalysed and uncorroborated intelligence”.

</excerpt>

The CBI has filed an FIR against former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede for allegedly seeking Rs 25 crore bribe for not framing Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the drugs-on-cruise case, officials said on Friday.
Aryan Khan was arrested in the alleged drug bust case on the Cordelia cruise ship on 2 October 2021, they said.
A coordinated search operation was launched on Friday at 29 locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi, Lucknow, Guwahati and Chennai after filing the FIR against the 2008-batch IRS officer Wankhede and four others — then NCB Superintendent Vishwa Vijay Singh, Intelligence Officer Ashish Ranjan and two private persons K P Gosavi and Sanvile D’Souza — in the case, they said.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) booked Wankhede and others for alleged criminal conspiracy (120-B IPC), and threat of extortion (388 IPC) besides provisions pertaining to bribery under the Prevention of Corruption Act on a complaint from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
“It has been alleged that the said officials of the Narcotics Control Bureau of Mumbai Zone, in order to obtain undue advantage from the persons and others in the Case No. 94/2021… registered and investigated under the supervision of then Zonal Director of Mumbai Zone of NCB, had entered into criminal conspiracy with others and allegedly obtained undue advantage in the form of bribes from the alleged accused…”, a CBI spokesperson said. The probe agency.

Investigation Team of the NCB took over the investigation.
Aryan Khan, who was formally arrested by the NCB on 3 October 2021, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on 28 October 2021 after spending 25 days in jail.
The NCB on May 27, 2022 also filed a 6,000-page charge sheet against 14 accused, giving a clean chit to Aryan Khan.
NCB officials said Aryan Khan and five others were not named in the agency’s charge sheet due to “lack of sufficient evidence”.
Besides the NCB SIT found “grave irregularities” and gaps in the probe, the officials said, adding that the central agency’s first team that arrested Aryan did not follow rules like mandatory medical test of accused, video recording of the raids and corroborate evidence for WhatsApp chats.

NCB Director General S N Pradhan had told reporters in Delhi that there were “shortcomings” in the investigation and WhatsApp chat of the accused had no “physical corroborative evidence” as required to prove the charges in the court. Wankhede, who headed the Narcotics Control Bureau Zonal Unit in Mumbai at the time of Aryan Khan’s arrest, was transferred to the DG Taxpayer Service Directorate in Chennai in May last year.
The much hyped case took a twist when an ‘independent witness’ had claimed in 2021 that Rs 25 crore was demanded by an NCB official and other persons, including a witness Gosavi, to let off Aryan Khan.
Prabhakar Sail, the ‘independent witness’, now deceased, had told media persons that he had overheard Gosavi telling D’Souza over the phone about the demand of Rs 25 crore after Aryan Khan was brought to the NCB office after the 2 October raid. He also claimed NCB officials had asked him to sign nine to ten blank papers. However, a senior NCB official had denied the allegations, terming them as “completely false and malicious”.

A woman and her friend have been arrested for killing the former’s husband, police said. The woman, Kavita and her friend Hitesh Jain were arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch for murdering her husband Kamalkant Shah. Police said she was mixing arsenic and thallium in her husband’s food. He was hospitalised on September 3 due to slow poisoning and died 17 days later.

A case against both the accused has been registered under sections 302,328 and 120(B) of IPC and both of them were arrested. Police produced the accused in the court which sent them to police custody till December 8.

Kamalkant was admitted to Bombay Hospital for treatment and remained admitted till September 19 when he died. During treatment, the same team of doctors conducted heavy metal test of Kamalkant’s blood and the report of that test further deepened the doubt of the doctors. The level of arsenic and thallium found in the body was unusual for any human being.

The case was handed over to Santacruz Police Station for further investigation after the Azad Maidan Police registered a case. however later on the Crime Branch took over the case and started the investigation and took all the medical reports including the statements of the family members including the wife, as well as collected information related to Kamalkant’s diet. Planning with Hitesh, a conspiracy was hatched to remove her husband.

Kamalkant’s health started deteriorating when the amount of arsenic and thallium exceeded in his body. Since both these metals are already present in the body but when the presence exceeds the normal amount, it can act as a poison and this is what happened with Kamalkant. Due to the slow poison which he was fed regularly through his meals, his condition started to deteriorate.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested absconding December 2021 Ludhiana Court building blast conspirator and wanted terrorist Harpreet Singh from Delhi airport soon after his arrival from Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia, the agency said on Friday.

“Investigations revealed that Harpreet Singh alias Happy Malaysia, an associate of Lakhbir Singh Rode, was one of the conspirators of the Ludhiana Court Building blast, alongwith Rode,” said the NIA in a statement.

Harpreet was one of the conspirators of the December 2021 Ludhiana Court Building blast. He is also one of the associate of Lakhbir Singh Rode, a Pakistan-based self-styled Chief of the International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF).
The Delhi Police have confirmed that they have not received DNA test report of Shraddha yet.

“DNA test report (of victim’s body parts) has not been received by the police”, said Sagar Preet Hooda, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Zone. Earlier the police confirmed that polygraph test of the accused, Aaftab Amin Poonawalla could not be conducted.

Speaking about the test, Sagar Preet Hooda said, “Polygraph test of the accused Aaftab Amin in Mehrauli police station case FIR No 659/22 under section 365/302/201 IPC could not be held today”.

Notably Delhi Police has taken the DNA samples to match with the body parts found. Delhi Police is probing the Shraddha Walker murder case in which her live-in partner Aftab Amin Poonawala had strangulated Walkar to death allegedly and chopped her body into 35 pieces, dumped it in the Chhatarpur area of the national capital.

Delhi Police interrogation revealed that Aftab killed Shraddha on May 18 and later started planning for disposing of her body. He told police that he had read about human anatomy so that it could help him in chopping off the body. Police said that Aftab, after searching in shopping mode Google, cleaned blood stains from the floor with some chemicals and disposed of stained clothes.

Meanwhile, the Southern District Police of Delhi had on November 17 contacted their Eastern counterparts in a bid to match the DNA sample of chopped body parts including a human head which the latter had recovered earlier in June.

The police detained unidentified bike-borne assailants on Friday who shot a man to the dead on Thursday in Bhilwara.

“Both accused in the Bhilwara murder case have been detained by police,” Superintendent of Police (SP) Adarsh Sidhu said.

Earlier on Thursday, bike-borne assailants shot a man to the dead and another one got injured. The victims have been identified as Tony and Ibrahim.

Meanwhile, the police believe it is a case of the revenge killing of the murder of accused brother Adarsh Tapadia which took place six months ago.

Moreover, Ibrahim succumbed to injuries and Tony is undergoing treatment.

“The accused have been identified and raids are being conducted to nab them. Prima facie, it looks like a revenge murder as a murder had happened almost six months back wherein the victims of this incident were accused in the former incident. The family members of the victim in the previous case are involved in today’s case,” said Inspector General (IG) of Ajmer range Rupendra Singh.

Talking about the incident IG Singh said the investigation is going on and it’s going in the right direction.

“The details would be revealed only after the police investigation, the investigation is going in the right direction,” Singh said.

However, the internet services for the next 48 hours in the Bhilwara district have been suspended by the Ajmer Divisional Commissioner who urged the people to cooperate to maintain law and order.

“Important clues gathered in this case. I appeal to people to cooperate to maintain law and order,” Bhilwara SP said.

Furthermore, a job for the family members of the deceased and Rs 10 lakh for the injured has been demanded by the President of Muslim Sadbhav Sewa Samiti, Bhilwara.

“This isn’t tolerable. We demand from officials to understand our sentiments else there’ll be a protest. We demand the accused to be arrested, a family member of the deceased be given a job and Rs 50 lakhs to his family, and Rs 10 lakhs to the injured,” the president said.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.

Delhi Police team has recorded the statements of 11 people in connection with the Shraddha murder case, sources informed on Monday.

Shraddha’s friends Laxman Nadar, Rahul Rai, Godwin, Shivani Mhatre and her husband, Aftab-flat Shraddha’s owner Jayshree Patkar, Secretary of Unique Park, where Aftab’s family resided – Abdullah Khan, Ramdas Kevat, President of Unique Park, and Govind Yadav, the owner of Packers and Movers, who sent Aftab’s goods from Vasai to Chhatar In addition, a team from the Delhi Police led by SHO Mehrauli visited the Bidhuri Dental Clinic in the capital to get a second opinion from the dentist on the recently recovered jaw.

The doctor in attendance claimed that the police were attempting to connect the denture, which had undergone treatment, with the jaw that had been found in the Mehrauli forest.
The police claim that Shraddha received root canal therapy for her teeth in Mumbai.
The physician claimed that the Delhi Police team had carried the Mumbai investigation report with them as well.
“The police had come to us only to take a second opinion,” the doctor said.
The investigation is being done on whether Aftab had some other phone number that he was using.
“The police believe that Aftab used more than one number. The police got this information from the bills recovered by the police during the investigation of this case. The first bill was that of the movers and packers who got them shifted from Mumbai’s Vasai to Delhi. The second bill is from Tilak Electronic from where he bought the fridge. Aftab’s phone number is different on both bills. For this reason, the police suspected that Aftab was using more than 1 number,” the sources said.
The secretary of a housing society where the accused Aftab Amin Poonawalla and his family resided gave a statement to the Delhi police team earlier on Sunday as part of their ongoing investigation into the horrifying Shraddha murder case.
Official sources claim that the Delhi police team spent more than an hour on Sunday recording the statement of Abdullah Khan, the secretary of the Unique Park Housing Society in the Vasai neighbourhood of the Palghar district.

“The police questioned Khan for more than an hour, and recorded his statement in connection to the Shraddha murder case,” said official sources with Manikpur police.
In the statement, Khan informed the police that Aftab’s family had vacated their house about 20 days ago, and he has rented it out.
He also said that he has no idea about where Aftab’s family went, and also shared their contact number, which was switched off.

According to sources, Delhi police have contacted a large number of persons, including friends and family members of Shraddha and Aftab, in relation to the case and are recording their testimony.
According to them, the accused, Aftab, resided with Shraddha in three separate flats in different parts of Mumbai, including the Kenny Apartment, the Regal Apartment, and the White Hills Apartment.
The Shraddha Murder case, in which Walker’s live-in partner Aftab Amin Poonawala is accused of strangling her to death and chopping her body into 35 pieces before dumping it in the Chhatarpur neighbourhood of the nation’s capital, is being investigated by a team of Delhi police who have been camped out in the Vasai area of Maharashtra since Friday.
Several others have reportedly been called by Delhi police on the issue, including friends and family of Shraddha and Aftab, and their evidence is being recorded.
They claim that the accused, Aftab, lived with Shraddha in three distinct flats, including the Kenny Apartment, the Regal Apartment, and the White Hills Apartment, located in various areas of Mumbai.
A team from the Delhi police has been camped out in the Vasai region of Maharashtra since Friday to conduct an investigation into the Shraddha Murder case, in which Walker’s live-in partner Aftab Amin Poonawala is charged with killing her by strangling her and dismembering her body into 35 pieces before dumping it in the Chhatarpur neighbourhood of the nation’s capital.
