Sharmila recently returned to Bengali films after 14 years with her latest release, Puratawn, which premiered on April 11. While promoting the film, she told the sources. “I love doing Bengali films. I love everything about Kolkata, but I am not as fit (for acting in shoots) as required due to my health conditions.”

In an interview with Bombay Times, Dia said, “I have never been in favour of personal attacks and find them extremely disrespectful. I’ve been concerned, especially for the younger actors, about the harshness of what’s being said. I feel there’s a culture of ‘eat the privileged,’ which is harsh because people have their own struggles to deal with.”

Actor Ibrahim Ali Khan is about to make his first Bollywood film debut with ‘Nadaaniyan’, which will start streaming on 7 March, 2025, on Netflix. Netflix made the official announcement of the release date with an Instagram post featuring a promotional video on Thursday.

The film starring Khushi Kapoor as the leading lady revolves around the romantic genre and comes from the stable of Dharmatic Entertainment, which is the digital arm of Dharma Productions, founded by Karan Johar.

The film tells the story of Arjun Mehta played by Ibrahim Ali Khan, a middle-class overachiever and Pia Jai Singh playing Khushi Kapoor daughter in South Delhi. Directed by Shauna Gautam, Nadaaniyan centers on Pia’s daring plan to hook Arjun up as her fake boyfriend to keep her squad within circulation. But when emotions emerge for real, the facade they set out to maintain turns into one of romance and chaos.
