The two former on-field rivals were spotted in a serious conversation after the match, a moment that was recorded on video from a distance and subsequently shared on social media. Harbhajan appeared very animated during the discussion, attempting to convey something to his Pakistani counterpart, though the topic of their conversation remains unknown.

In the WCL match on Saturday, Pakistan triumphed over India by 68 runs. Akmal led the scoring for Pakistan with 77 runs off 40 balls, while his opening partner Sharjeel Khan also shone with 72 off 30 balls. The pair added 145 runs for the first wicket in 10.5 overs. Later, former Pakistani cricketer taking to X, issued an apology saying,

Additionally, mock polling was done at a polling place in the 35 Karakat constituency, the Arrah Assembly constituency of the Bhojpur district in Bihar, the Balasore Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha, the Dumka constituency in Jharkhand, and Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh.

There are 904 contenders competing in the last round of voting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ravi Shankar Prasad, Nishikant Dubey, and Ravneet Singh Bittu, leaders of the Congress Manish Tewari, Charanjit Singh Channi, leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Harsimrat Kaur Badal, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) are among the well-known contenders in this phase of the race.

The seven States in which polling is scheduled include Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Polling for the remaining 42 Assembly Constituencies of the Odisha State Legislative Assembly will also take place simultaneously.

The polling for 28 States/UTs and 486 parliamentary constituencies has been completed smoothly and peacefully. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.

Rajat Patidar, who is now playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, transformed the game for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru against the Chennai Super Kings, according to former India spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Despite winning just one of their first seven games of the season, RCB became the first team to qualify for the playoffs, ending CSK’s title defence.

In a rain-affected match, the duo of Virat Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis forged a 78-run stand. Their partnership provided the base for RCB to put on a total which would help them reach the final four.

“Yash Dayal became the superhero, after taking Dhoni’s wicket he just conceded one run in four balls which was incredible,” Harbhajan added.

RCB will finish the group stage in the fourth spot with 14 points and a net run rate of 0.459. Their opponent for the Eliminator clash is yet to be decided.

“I am a strict believer in religion and God. I visit every mandir, Masjid and gurudwara to seek blessings. I will visit the temple whenever I get a chance. There is no doubt about it. It is our fortune that the temple is being inaugurated during our life time. I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, under whose leadership the temple is being constructed,” he said.

Reposting a video in which Inzamam talked about how the star spinner would go with other Indian players to hear the teachings given by Pakistani Islamic preacher Tariq Jameel and was impressed by them, Harbhajan took to X and let out his frustration.
“Is it true that you can’t just jump right in? Harbhajan posted on X, “I am a proud Sikh and Indian. Yeh Bakwaas log kuch bi bakte hai.

In the video, Inzamam narrated the conversation he had with Harbhajan and how he expressed his desire to follow Jameel.
“Maulana Tariq Jameel would talk to us during our playing days and preach Islam after evening prayers. We used to invite Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif and Zaheer Khan to come and offer Namaz with us,” Inzamam said in the viral video.”Some other players, including Harbhajan Singh, would also accompany us and listen to the teachings of Tariq Jameel. After retiring from cricket, Inzamam worked as Pakistan’s chief selector but ended up stepping down from the post at the end of last month.
Inzamam confirmed his resignation as chief selector on SAMAA TV’s show ‘Zor Ka Jor’ which was reported by Dawn.

Inzamam’s resignation was officially accepted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which also announced the formation of a five-person fact-finding committee to investigate conflict of interest claims that had been picked up by the local press. The accusations concern the selection procedure used by the team.
The chairmanships of the national men’s and junior selection committees have been accepted by the Pakistan Cricket Board, which will appoint a replacement in due course. Inzamam-ul-Haq voluntarily left his post on October 30 to give the PCB a chance to transparently investigate the claims of conflict of interest,” the PCB said in a statement.

Indian cricketers took to social media handles on Tuesday to extend their wishes on the 77th Independence Day.

As people celebrate this joyful day across the country, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuvraj Singh, and several other notable cricketers took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter to wish countrymen a happy Independence Day.

Former captain Virat Kohli wished everyone a happy Independence Day on his social media handle.

India’s star batter Suryakumar Yadav also wished everyone and wrote, “A nation like no other, an honour comparable to none. Wishing everyone a very happy Independence Day! May our country continue to rise and shine and may we do our best to continue to contribute to its glory!”

IPL 2023: KKR batter Rinku Singh deserves to get call from Team India: Harbhajan Singh

Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh believes that KKR’s batting sensation Rinku Singh is not far away from getting a call-up to the Indian team. He has played some outstanding innings in the ongoing IPL edition, which is beyond expectation.

Rinku has emerged as the saviour of KKR in some of the matches. His five sixes in a row against GT in Ahmedabad were the most memorable run chase in the history of the IPL.

The southpaw has shown lots of consistency in his batting and hit the winning runs for KKR’s latest victory over PBKS at the Eden Gardens off the last ball of Arshdeep Singh’s over. He has scored 337 runs so far in 11 matches at a healthy average of 56.17.

Harbhajan Singh, along with the daughter of the former CM of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Misa Bharti, and Rajeev Shukla, vice-president of the BCCI, were sworn in as Rajya Sabha members on Monday including 25 others

Others were Rao Meena, Vijay Sai Reddy, Kheeru Mahto, Shambhala Saran Patel, Ranjeet Ranjan, Maharashtra Majhi, Aditya Prasad, Praful Patel, Imran Pratapgarhi, Sanjay Raut, Sasmit Patra, Sandeep Kumar Pathak, and Vikramjeet Singh Sahani. Randeep Singh Surjewal, P Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal, R Girl Rajan, S Kalyan Sundaram, KRN Rajesh Kumar, Javed Ali Khan, V Vijendra Prasad, who took oath to be the members of the Rajya Sabha.

The first day of the monsoon session of the parliament observed the oath ceremony of the members where athlete PT Usha (from Kerala) and music composer Ilaiyaraaja (from Tamil Nadu) could not be present in the Rajya Sabha to take the oath for some reason. Thereafter, the obituaries were read for the dignitaries who had demised ecently. Tributes were also given to the former Prime minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, along with Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ex-UAE president, and President Mwai Kibaki of Kenya.

Former members Kishore Kumar Mohanty, Robert Kharshiing, K K Veerappan, and santoor player Pandit Shivkumar Sharma were also bestowed with obituaries.

Later, General PC Mody, the secretary of the Rajya Sabha, displayed the bills passed by the Parliament during the two hundred and fifty-sixth session of the Rajya Sabha.

The session was later adjourned for the entire day for the ruckus created by the opposition party members contributing to the disruption of the session.
